### 4/5 — Good app

*2022-04-19*

It’s a good app to use
I would say that you should add a place to say how you pronounce the word like:
Hola:
“O la”

### 4/5 — Great app

*2019-06-06*

It’s great it helps you get to know Spanish

### 4/5 — Learner

*2019-02-20, version 5.0*

Needs more words and better updates but other than that I love it👌👌

### 4/5 — Word memory!

*2018-07-24*

I like this app it helps me with my word recognition and accent. This helps me in my daily brain exercises to keep me on my toes.

### 4/5 — Great Series of Apps

*2016-06-22, version 5.0*

I use Wordpower for 8 different languages and as always it works fantastically.
Sometimes it has the same word for 3 or 4 cards, not sure if it's a glitch or someone hasn't compiled the words correctly

### 4/5 — Solid app

*2016-05-19, version 4.8.1*

I like the flash card feature

### 4/5 — Good App / not great

*2016-01-27, version 4.8.1*

After a while you keep seeing the same words over and over. But…it is a free App.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-12-01, version 4.8.1*

It does what it does very well. The UI is a little clunky though.

### 3/5 — Good learning tool

*2015-11-04, version 4.7*

I've been using the app for some time and always enjoy learning the new words and how they are generally used in a sentence. This app and teaching methodology has been very useful to me in that learning process.

### 4/5 — Learner

*2015-10-12, version 4.7*

I like. I don't say this often.

### 4/5 — Spanishpod101

*2014-08-26, version 4.1.1*

Great app, especially since I am a beginner!

### 5/5 — Works flawlessly

*2014-08-15, version 4.1.1*

Love this app, especially the Spanish word of the day.

### 5/5 — Great, great app

*2014-07-28, version 4.1.1*

I use this app almost everyday. Very useful indeed!

### 3/5 — I want to like this...

*2014-07-07*

I have WordPower for Japanese and find it very useful. However, I'm hesitant to purchase the Spanish or French versions becaus none of the audio clips seem to include noun gender. I see it on the flashcard itself, but that presumes I'm looking at the flashcard at all, when I often listen to the words on this app while in my car, swiping from word to word while looking at the road.

From my previous experience learning Romance languages (I studied French for several years), the noun gender needs to be repeated over and over and over to stick in most people's heads. It must treated as part of the word itself, whether you use la, el, los, les, whatever. This isn't an option if you want your speech to be taken seriously.

If this ever gets changed, I would love to buy the app.

### 5/5 — Been waitin a while for this

*2014-05-23, version 4.1.1*

If i could design my own app for learning this would be it. The layout is flawless.

### 4/5 — Good

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to love this app

*2017-10-07, version 5.0*

-have used it for 3 years, but now it won’t get past “iCloud is syncing, please wait”, despite uninstalling and reloading, as suggested when I emailed support. Please get this issue resolved!

### 1/5 — Meh

*2017-07-10*

Not the best app for learning Spanish. It could be better. I got this app to learn Spanish, not French. So I'm a little disappointed in this app. You need to buy the Spanish version or something else that's bull.

### 1/5 — Not worth buying!

*2016-08-07*

The first a hundred words are really useful, each day a new word with example sentences. But after that all are the place names in Spain and the names of people, no example sentences. Feels like a trick!

### 1/5 — Awful

*2013-01-03, version 4.0.3*

400Mb download (ridiculous! - I get the entire works of Shakespeare and the Bible at less than 20Mb total).

And then it only has one Spanish word available, with the next one to be downloaded the next day - another 400Mb? One word a day. So after maybe 10 years I'll have a vocab of 3650 words. Wonderful.

TOTAL WASTE OF SPACE. Even free it's overpriced.

### 1/5 — You can not trust this app

*2012-10-22, version 3.2.2*

I down loaded the free app but it does not wk. I tried to find out how much the full app was and when i pressed full version it went to itunes and asked for my password w/o telling me how much i was about to spend. When I tried to read reviews it showed there were 8 but when I went under reviews it only showed 1 and that was favorable. I would not touch this app.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2012-07-02, version 3.2.2*

It has two spanish words in it. Completely pointless and a waste of time. Maybe the paid version is better but I aren't taking the risk considering how stupid the free version is.

### 1/5 — No mas!

*2012-04-04, version 3.2.2*

Not very intuitive. Cannot quickly and logically progress beyond some natural gas nonsense in the first window. Just an offer to pay $10. Show me that you're worth it first.

### 1/5 — pointless

*2011-12-29, version 3.2*

this is just a taster for the upgrade and isn't any use at all

### 1/5 — SMH

*2011-10-07*

It's a free app, so I'm not expecting too much from it. However, what I am expecting from a LANGUAGE app is the correct definitions. I have caught some mistakes with the definitions and it defeats the purpose of having this app if I cannot even trust that all the definitions are correct. (example: weekend is NOT new in Spanish and calm is NOT tranqui. It's tranquilo. There are other that I have found, but these were just from today. So be careful when you study. If it doesn't seem right, double check. So off I go to search for a more reliable app.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2011-08-04*

I concur with all but the suspicious unnatural reviews in that this is way too crappy as a free app to bother buying more of the same. It's not "free" anyway in that it's riddled with ads that you have to constantly avoid hitting on a small screen. I often buy apps after trying the free versions but only if they can show some level of fuctionality and value but that's definitely not this thing especially relative to the dozens of berthed spanish learning apps put there.

*2017-10-07, version 5.0*

I like this app. You can study as much or as little as you want to and the examples of word use and grammar explanations on the app are very useful. The word of the day prompt which pops up daily and encourages you to keep studying is neat.
