I need to read more advanced writing so that I may advance my own Spanish skills. You can listen to the recording of the story while reading it, if you want to. If you find a word you don’t know, you just press on it and concise explanations are shown. There are optional quizzes with 4 questions to check your comprehension. If you don’t answer them correctly, you can repeat the quiz, as many times as you want to. Bite-sized grammar lessons are included. What’s also nice is that you can choose which stories you read according to your reading level. I listen to the story/article. Then I click on any words I don’t know. Immediately and easy to grasp the translation with conjugate options and a pronunciation are offered. Then I read the same article and then I voice it myself. I save any words I don’t know to the study cards. So quadruple reinforcement. It’s good for bite-sized Spanish content. However, the cost of this subscription is $70 a year, which is up to the user to determine if it is worth it. For me, it is highly overpriced. There is a free version, but it only offers 5 “articles” a day. Sometimes these articles can be as short as a few sentences in A1 Spanish. My advice is unless you’re willing to pay the $70 per year to read the articles, I’d look somewhere else for news stories. When I click the “free stories” At the top of my page, I can read two or three sentences and then hit the pay wall. If there is more to the free version, it should be easier to access. I’m not seeing a new story daily at B2 level and will soon have read all the existing ones. Best, Selin ### 3/5 — Works ok *2026-06-14* I think it’s good and helps a bit I wouldn’t use it as the only app you study with but it still definitely helps especially because it doesn’t feel like studying it feels like reading interesting stories. Best, Selin ### 3/5 — Cool concept but not enough content *2026-04-07* This app has a lot of potential but everything is super limited if you’re using the free version. The 5ish stories you get per day are 3/4 A1 level, which makes it hard for me to find challenging texts since I read at a more advanced level. The content in each story is very surface-level and doesn’t go in-depth into anything interesting. One story’s content didn’t even answer the question in the title. It’s a cool concept but I’d love to see more work put into providing more options for advanced levels in the daily content, and being able to read more than just a paragraph per story. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! Same for the stories-- some irritating glitches that continually start the story over when you pause on a phrase.
