### 4/5 — App

*2026-04-02, version 2.0.3*

Really cool!

### 2/5 — Glitchy and not great for little learners

*2026-02-10, version 1.9.16*

App is very glitchy and doesn’t consider natural development for little learners in the length or content of lessons. There is also too much freedom to bounce around to different lessons and no real cohesiveness.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-03-31, version 1.8.26*

I paid for the subscription, set up an account, and when we go to the Tutorial Beach to get started, we tap on the work bubble and the fox says, hola, hello…” and then it goes back to the blue screen with the boat and nothing happens. I tried several times, then deleted the app, powered down and rebooted my phone, signed back in, and the same thing happens. Just stuck and won’t do anything. I’m cancelling my subscription and very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2025-02-02, version 1.8.15*

We are at a stage where there is nothing we can do on the app, it is all locked with no opportunity to earn any more keys etc to unlock parts. Needs some glitches ironed out and then it would be a sweet app.

### 1/5 — SCAM!!! My login info stopped working the day I was charged the subscription price.

*2025-01-27, version 1.8.15*

SCAM!! The day I was charged for a subscription my login suddenly stopped working. I requested a password reset several times and received no response.

### 5/5 — Amazing results for my children, highly recommend

*2024-11-17*

My 3rd grade son was introduced to this app through his teacher at the beginning of this year, and he loves it. He asks to play it after school, and my daughter has also started playing with it. We have no native Spanish speaking background, and I am blown away by how much they seem to understand in such a short time. They already speak better than I did after 4 years of highschool Spanish classes, and, as a parent, it is truly amazing to see your children succeed. Highly recommend this tool to other parents and teachers. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love how it teaches through stories!

*2024-11-17*

I am a high school student and I love this app. I find it so much easier to learn Spanish through stories. It helps me learn so much more vocabulary than with flash cards! Way more memorable and way more fun! The illustrations are so cute and fun that it helps you remember the story really easily. I love the CopyCat mode - it has been really good for my pronunciation. And I love that these stories are in a mobile game. I like collecting gold keys, opening the treasure chests and getting stickers and Pokémon style cards. I just discovered that in the update this weekend there is now a stickerbook to make cool images and collages with all the stickers I’ve earned. Super cool.

### 5/5 — My students love Fabulingua!

*2024-11-17*

I’m an elementary Spanish teacher in Austin, TX. As soon as my 2nd grade students started playing Fabulingua, I heard exclamations of “This is SO FUN!” and “I love this app!” A bit of silence followed as they became immersed in the beautifully illustrated stories and games. Then, one by one, they started speaking Spanish phrases and sentences, mimicking the voice of the storyteller. My students are begging for more time with this app, and the teacher dashboard allows me to see how much progress they have made within the stories, whether at home or at school. As an elementary Spanish teacher who has searched for an engaging and age-appropriate stories-based app for years, this fits the bill! ¡Estoy muy emocionada!

### 5/5 — Genial

*2024-11-01, version 1.8.8*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2026-04-23, version 2.0.7*

I cannot access even one story unless I pay

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2026-03-21, version 2.0.0*

Tried setting up the account using my AppleID passcode. An in-app browser opens to get set-up but after entering my passcode nothing happens. Browser stays blank and when I close it I’m not logged in. Unsubscribed and uninstalled. If it’s a hassle to even get set-up I’m not going to bother with the rest.

### 1/5 — Can’t even log into to set it up

*2026-03-18, version 2.0.0*

Tried using the logon with Apple option. It just goes in a circle of death opening a web browser logon in the app then back to the app that doesn’t work. It’s unusable. You also have to agree to pay before it’ll let you even get to that point. No thanks.

### 1/5 — Functionality

*2026-02-23, version 1.10.0*

Not very user friendly it’s a kids game and I can’t figure out how to play

### 1/5 — Requires purchase before even seeing the app?!!

*2026-02-23, version 1.10.0*

Scammers wants money before you know what the app has to offer , don’t fall fir it

### 1/5 — Trial requires credit card

*2026-02-11*

I downloaded the app because the description said you can try a story for free. I was able to click the button to “explore”, pick an avatar and a nickname, and then it went into a looping ad (that you can’t back out of) to promote their 7 day free trial - just put in your payment info so they can charge you automatically when the trial ends if you didn’t cancel it first. The app might be great, but I won’t be finding that out.

**Developer response:** We understand the hesitation around free trials that ask for a payment method. Apple requires a payment method on file to start any subscription free trial, but you can cancel anytime in your App Store subscriptions before day 7 so you are not charged. FabuLingua does not receive your card details. Apple handles all billing.

We also hear you on the “try a story for free” wording. We are updating our store copy in our next update and improving the trial flow to make it clearer and more parent friendly.

If you have any questions or want help confirming your subscription status, please reach us at support@fabulingua.com.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-01-12, version 1.9.16*

I signed up for a 7 day free trial and was charged the full annual subscription fee on day 2. I submitted a refund request but have not heard back.

### 1/5 — Awful Customer Service

*2026-01-07*

I bought this app on Monday as I had high hopes on starting my kids on it as part of our homeschool curriculum. I am very disappointed as I am having issues with logging into the app from our tablet so we have missed this “lesson”. I have email customer support and I have yet to received an acknowledgement that they have received my e-mail. I have been checking my junk mail on a daily basis and even that has no emails from them. I even went on FB and sent a message on the messenger and I still haven’t heard from anybody. I was really looking forwards to using the app but at this rate that excitement has dwindled.

**Developer response:** Hi, we are so sorry that we never received your email at support@FabuLingua.com (it's important to check the spelling for fabuLINGUA.com since we can't receive emails not sent to the correct address).  We are sorry that our FB comments were not being monitored daily and that it took us a few days to respond to you there asking for the email address you used so we could look into your account.  We always want to make things right for our customers, so please do write to us at support@fabuLINGUA.com and we'll make sure to look after you!

### 1/5 — Why not just be upfront about it being a subscription service?

*2025-11-04*

I was setting it up when I got the ad interrupting me to tell me is was a monthly subscriptions service. No thanks. Deleted.

### 1/5 — Am I missing something?

*2025-05-22, version 1.9.0*

Homeschool mom here and I love the teaching method this program uses so I thought this would be great. I quickly subscribed after the trial and I regret it. Both my children completed all the levels on the island in under a month and there is nothing else to do now except repeat the same 12 stories and collect stickers. Please tell me I am wrong and didn’t waste $70 for a year long subscription. Extremely disappointed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Beautiful and crazy effective for pronunciation - my kids love it

*2026-02-27*

My Spanish is bad, but my 5 yr old and 7 year old started playing the game on a recent road trip, and their Spanish accents are so good now. I’m shocked! Plus, they still want to play all the time 4 months later. They are motivated by earning tons of keys as they read the stories and do the little games. CopyCat is their favorite.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2025-08-13, version 1.9.6*

As a Spanish language educator who utilizes an acquisition-driven approach in my classroom, I am so excited this app exists. It is a great addition to my teaching tool box and my students love to play. They don’t even realize they are learning since the stories, mini-games, and rewards keep them engaged. I highly recommend FabuLingua!
