### 5/5 — Best approach I found

*2018-02-21, version 1.2*

I tried a number of apps to pick up just a little Indonesian prior to a trip for work, and this is by far the best. It takes a really positive, constructive approach, with some explanations of grammar in between the phrases and vocab that really let you understand what’s going on, as far as you need to. In about a month, I got enough Indonesian to have some (very basic!) conversations, explain where I want to go, ask for help, ask for coffee or clean water. I also got enough to start extending my own learning a bit with Google Translate and other things, which is super helpful. Start here.

### 5/5 — FUN TO LEARN!!!!!

*2017-11-11, version 1.0*

I REALLY ENJOY THIS PROGRAM!!!!!! With the instructions to just listen and not get tied down with a book or reading the lessons really helped me concentrate. The lessons are really enjoyable. I wished everyone taught like that.
THANKS SHAUN & Cici

### 5/5 — Great for beginners and for brushing up rusty Bahasa Indonesia

*2016-06-24, version 1.0*

I am returning to Indonesia after a 10 year break and have found this language series far and away the best for first time speakers and also those reacquainting themselves with Bahasa Indonesia. The lessons are concise and to the point which aids retention. The lessons build on one another and cover the essential basics one has to know to enable one to master basic everyday conversation. Equally important is the need to understand Indonesian customs which are embedded in the language, these are also covered in the lessons. I have used many methods to learn Bahasa Indonesia and these lessons are the very best I have found particularly because you have them readily on hand and are audio files allowing one to perfect the correct pronunciation which is critical to being understood. Terima kasih banyak.

### 5/5 — Comprehensive engaging easy

*2016-05-24, version 1.0*

I like the way this app takes a constructivist approach to learning, in building a foundation and adding to the basics to form phrases is an engaging, easy and rewarding strategy to learning a new language. I feel I have learnt enough from the free version basic conversation and would be very interested to try the premium. Although it has a higher price than is currently like I'm sure the content is very thorough and eel presented!
Thanks for a great app!!

### 5/5 — Top course

### 5/5 — Excellent app

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2015-07-19, version 1.0*

Make sure you get the pdf guide from the web site. Wish they would display the words on the app.

### 5/5 — Great program

### 5/5 — Simply Awesome!

This is the best format and quality Indonesian learning tool ever! Terima Kasih Shaun and Cici!

### 5/5 — Helped Learn the Basics at lightning speed!

*2014-11-04, version 1.0*

While traveling thru Indonesia, I used a dictionary app to translate words. That helped a lot as well. But this app with its gentle introduction had me holding very basic conversation with locals in a couple weeks!

The best part is that it is via audio so you can listen on those long bus and plane rides.

I like their structure, the fact that they have a native speaker pronounce the words (they could remove the American speaker re-pronouncing it each time. He butchers it for the most part!), and also how they quiz you on previous lessons.

### 5/5 — Good stuff

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2014-08-25, version 1.0*

I downloaded this app to get a feel & have done the 1st 10 lessons - very listenable to & I think will be useful. I don't need to learn for a few months but I would be highly tempted to buy the full version

### 5/5 — Tried n tested

*2014-02-16, version 1.0*

I have recently returned from Indonesia. Everything I had learned within the app was put to good use within two days. I would highly recommend this app for anyone wanting a really good head start!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-12-05, version 1.0*

I'm planning 3rd Indonesia trip so thought I would learn a little language for the trip. This app is really well constructed. Each lesson has a clear goal set at the each beginning and builds logically on the previous lesson with reinforcement of previous lessons throughout. Each phrase and word is clearly described and explained and used in a way that makes sense. Keep up the great work.

### 3/5 — Error download PDD

*2026-07-13, version 1.2*

When click on the Suscription link on the email, you get en error: “Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL.”

### 3/5 — No pdf

*2025-02-03, version 1.2*

I entered my email for the PDF.. received a confirmation email but the confirmation button goes to an error page.. and their email is no longer accessible… so there’s no way of getting the PDF
The lessons are no good without the PDF to see spelling for proper pronunciation

### 4/5 — Good app!

*2017-01-03, version 1.0*

Good app, I like how the words are repeated as separate syllables but it would be ever better to have the words written on the screen.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2014-06-19, version 1.0*

This has been a great app to help learn the basics. I love Bali and go 6 or more times a year and like to be able to talk a little in there language as respectful I think

### 5/5 — Great App for the traveler

*2021-02-13, version 1.2*

I like this application as it jumps into the most important words and phrases for a beginner. The focus here is on conversational language not formal written. I encourage people to take advantage of this great learning tool, especially those in a hurry to lean what they will use most.

### 5/5 — Learning Indonesian is the best

*2020-10-25, version 1.2*

It would have to be one of the best apps I’ve used
Select the learning scale u want, just keep on that one till your happy
And then move to next one
And having the Indonesian lady say it back slow and steady
You can really grasp it

### 5/5 — Terima kasih banyak

*2020-07-22, version 1.2*

This is an excellent source for learning conversational Indonesian.

### 5/5 — Favourite Learning Indonesian App so far

*2019-08-29, version 1.2*

I find this one the best so far. I like the friendly (smiley) tones of voice. Other apps/learning tools sound robotic and cold.

The rate of learning vocabulary is at the right pace. Pronunciation is done by a ‘native’ speaker at normal conversational pace, additionally words are broken down to their phonetic make up. Pronunciation is also demonstrated by an native English speaker (without a strong ‘native’ accent) so as to not feel self-conscious.

I would recommend writing down new words as you go along and to listen to each lesson repeatedly until it sinks in, before moving to the next. Also sign up in order to download the written version.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2019-08-26, version 1.2*

I have been listening to these lessons for a long time and they are the best I’ve tried. Easy informative and useful. I always go back to these.

### 5/5 — Excellent product

I have just began these lessons and have found them to be first class.

### 5/5 — Learning Indonesian

*2018-12-19, version 1.2*

This is a return to this app for myself to top up my language skills that I have forgotten. I’ve lived in Indonesia for 12 years and this app makes all the difference, I can with confidence go shopping, use a taxi and agree the price! Use the Bank and speak with general public in a polite manner.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-08-09, version 1.2*

Very easy to follow along. I have a friend and I’m learning Indonesian to communicate with her in her language and she’s already been so impressed by what I’ve learned from here. Awesome!

### 5/5 — Really easy to follow

*2018-06-22, version 1.2*

This Indonesian course is wonderful. It was the only beginners course I could find where you could listen and learn the lessons without having to read the study guides at the same time. Hence I can walk, listen, repeat and learn the lessons whilst I am out and about and can use the study guides when Home. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Barb

### 5/5 — Top work
