I get a repeated message that in app purchases are not allowed. I then waste an hour in settings trying to get it to work again. ### 3/5 — Bring back ability to check past dates *2025-10-29* I find it intensely irritating that I cannot check any past details. This was very useful. I need the next year when I am preparing the rotas in August/September through to Jan/February. Why is this available in book form but not in the app. Also I need to look back sometimes- even a month would be useful. But when you need to look back at previous dates, this option has been removed. So now I have had to buy a paper copy. Which considering we’re trying to be environmentally friendly is not helpful and costs more money. But this latest update is annoying on several levels. First, every day it brings up the previous day readings. PLEASE FIX THIS!! And second, I liked having the daily info show up when I pulled it up instead of the extra stuff you have now. Until now this has been angood app, but needs to be fixed. It works perfectly on the google play store. The dates seem to default to 4th June for some reason and you have to repeated delete and reinstall the app to get the current date. Very useful highly recommended ### 5/5 — Simple, very useful tool *2018-09-28* I love using the Book of Common Prayer’s calendar of reading to guide my Bible study, but can’t always bring my physical BCP with me. There are lots of apps and websites out there with the Order for the Day in them, but I find having to scroll through all the prayers and readings on a phone distracting and prefer a list of just the day’s readings so I can look them up on my own. This app is perfect for that - simple, straightforward, and not distracting. ### 5/5 — Great reference source *2017-08-22* I find the lectionary app a really valuable tool for service planning with access to all of the lectionary texts for each day. The cutting and pasting facility for the texts means that I can print and annotate them when preparing sermons and this is even more useful now that it can be used on the desktop. It is a real time-saver. ### 5/5 — Use it all the time! *2016-09-15* My Diocese (Quincy, ACNA) uses Common Worship and its lectionary. I use this app for every service I plan. Raskopf ### 5/5 — A really useful app *2014-12-13, version 1.4* I have been using this app for some time now, probably since it was launched and I find it really helpful. It does what it claims it will do, with all the information in one place, and yes, this year a fee is payable - but at less than ten pounds for a years worth of readings, downloaded to my phone, I think it is good value. I use it a lot, at work for a daily bible reading, and to prepare for services as a lay reader. ### 5/5 — At last, a lectionary that really works! *2014-02-10, version 1.3.1* I love this app. With a group of small churches, I need to take a lot of stuff with me from place to place. For years I have struggled with iPod, iPhone and ipad versions of Bible and lectionaries at morning prayer, with the congregation looking pityingly at their technology obsessed vicar while they flip straight to their place in the paper book. At last, this app does exactly what needs to be done and provides all the options literally at my fingertips. Beautifully designed and well presented, with a typeface that can be read as easily on the iPhone screen as on the ipad.
