I own both of them. Then they said there IS another one that is paid that includes everything. Why would I have another app on my purchase history for free, this one for a few bucks a few years back and now even begin to trust that if I buy the third one they won’t take it back or start asking for a subscription on it later. But I felt compelled this time because I bought this one more than 10 years ago when there was also a free version with ads because I liked it and because I felt it had enough features to be worth the small amount the dev asked back then. Now I redownload the app to use it in a situation where the ambient is loud and I need to communicate clearly across a room and BAM I am required to purchase a subscription. I mean… why? And in what universe does it make any sense to pay 8 times more of what I originally paid for the pro app originally for an app without ads that I ALREADY PAID FOR. Of course the option of restore purchase did nothing because it was so long ago that iOS didn’t even have the option to do in app purchases back then. For shame. I am cool if the dev had decided to stop updating this one and started another one with more bells and whistles. Absolutely. But putting ads on a “pro app” and requesting a subscription to remove them?
