I’ve been trying to find a easier way to control my Rgb pixels on my house. New variation of LED's need to be added for instance WS2812B require to be added as the latest family of LED's on the market. ### 3/5 — App is ok *2022-06-12, version 1.11.1* Took a few times of connecting the controller for the app to recognize it… app doesn’t always see the controller when it starts up but usually only takes a minute for it to work after a refresh. It takes forever to connect each time. I have to be about 2 feet from my house in order to connect, so it’s really obvious when I’m not home. The interface is confusing. And there’s no basic functionality like a TIMER?! Who wants to remember to turn the lights on and off each day? Or if I go to bed early, so do my lights. Big mistake not checking the app thoroughly before purchasing an expensive set of lights. ### 1/5 — Many functions don’t work *2021-10-13, version 1.11.1* The customization tab is a joke, you can set customized options IF it saves and doesn’t kick you out, but then you can’t delete any to add new ones… ### 3/5 — Could be a goldmine *2021-09-09, version 1.11.1* Developers please please see you are ahead of the competition on product and price (need to get this out to people and show them performance v price on competition is unbelievable) But must add HomeKit support, Shortcuts and that will give the ability to change lights in scenes and in groups and will be easier than you coding it into the app. I have the WiFi box the functionally must be there just need code, I’m sure apple has dev kits for Siri and HomeKit? Could be 5 stars. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Connect *2021-09-07, version 1.11.1* It says I have successfully connected to the device, but it never shows up in the device list. Either the LED Shop device doesn’t work, or this app doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — app feels half-baked, needs work *2021-06-13, version 1.11.1* There are some cool options, such as the ability to import a photo (which unfortunately doesn’t persist through power off/on as do regular preset patterns). Needs to swipe down many times every time to get “connected”. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not it’s friendly *2026-03-27, version 1.11.1* The app failed during a real customer installation. The controller showed its WiFi network, but the app would not complete the connection or setup process, making it unreliable for professional use. This caused delays on site and forced me to leave the lights in a fixed mode instead of delivering full app control. The app needs a more stable connection process and better compatibility with the controller. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2025-11-12, version 1.11.1* When using custom lighting if the phone goes to sleep the device reverts to static and if you open the phone it fails to connect because the app has forgotten the type of device it was connected to. Seems to be ok on static and mixed but they are too restrictive so you cant setup a custom lighting effect and leave it running ### 1/5 — Failed to configure *2025-05-23, version 1.11.1* In general it’s convoluted and over complicated for an RGB LED controller to require connecting to it as a hotspot. Following the complicated directions and it still fails to configure. Waste of money. When connected it will drop and leave you hanging. No timer or ability to develop custom patterns. Like a game of Russian roulette trying to determine a pattern. Many of the pre sets are useless. Two lights in chase pattern? Who needs that. The Auto mode is playing all 180 light patterns but there are many light patterns we do not like. We have a 1080 light strip that is very long and it runs like a champ. I double checked my wiring 5 times. When I select red it turns blue, green turns red, blue turns green, yellow turns purple, purple turns aqua, and aqua turns yellow. The only one that it gets right is white. I honk the problem might be in the app. I will change this review to 5 stars if you fix it. Other than that, this app works great!
