## What is LedgerView?

LedgerView is a local-first personal finance and net worth tracker built for people who want clarity without handing their financial life to another service.

The Mac app is the source of truth for setup, CSV imports, manual balances, holdings, reconciliation, exports, and privacy settings. The iPhone app is a fast companion dashboard for checking net worth, accounts, investments, allocation, history, goals, and data freshness.

LedgerView is not a bank aggregator and does not require linking financial accounts. It is designed for manual and CSV-first workflows, explicit data provenance, visible freshness, and exportability.
