I messaged the led guys but I got a canned response. ### 1/5 — terrible quality *2022-11-29, version 1.5* I’m reviewing the entire underglow light kit on here as well as the app since they deleted my honest review on their website a while ago… Disconnection Issue: I had so many issues with this app. It might’ve been the module, but the app kept constantly disconnecting from my lights. whats worse is the bad design of the module. basically, because theres no “bluetooth pairing mode” button, what u have to do is physically open your hood, and disconnect the module from the battery and reconnect it. considering the fact that it would disconnect every few weeks makes it such a pain to get something so simple as LED lights to work. App not Updated for a While: the fact that this app hasnt been updated in over 2 years for bug fixes/improvements is a huge red flag considering the company is still in business to this day. XK Glow has their software updated every few months or so and their bugs get fixed, just read the reviews and bug fix section. Also, personal preference, but the app feels outdated, like it was made in the 2010’s and the user interface was never updated since. It gives off a vibe of cheap-ness. The Actual Lights: the lights weren’t super great either. They were LED’s encased in thin plastic which isnt a great design choice for the underbody of a car which can get damaged by rocks or debris in the road. This also means you cant bend the lights to a specific shape and theres no sticky underside. Your 2 options are to mount plastic clips which hang super low and can be easily broken off by a parking block (has happened to me) or drill holes in your plastic underside. if you have a low car, this is probably the worst kit possible to get. The Good: the only thing i can give them is good customer service and a warranty on their lights if they get damaged. I had my module stop connecting to my phone entirely after a few months and they did replace it, but the new one stopped working after a week as well. however good customer service is the only thing they have going for this company, which isnt that useful since their product is terribly made. ### 1/5 — Bullsh** *2022-06-27, version 1.5* App does not connect to save my life. Can’t even change jt ### 1/5 — App never connects to lights *2022-01-30, version 1.5* I’ve had my ledglows for about a year, they still work perfect brighter then most others I see. But this app has not connected even once since I’ve had the lights so I have to open the hood of my mustang and manually turn on the lights with the control box. Remote only works if the hood is open and I’m standing next to the c/box. Bummer! ### 1/5 — App does not work well with iOS *2021-09-22, version 1.5* I tried to use this app on my iPhone and it wouldn’t connect to my LEDGlow interior lights. I used it on an android phone and it connected immediately. So there is some issue with apple Bluetooth on these control boxes for the LEDGlow lights. I called LEDGlow and they basically said they’re never wrong and told me my phone is not working. I have an iPhone 12 with all of the updates and connect fine with all of my Bluetooth devices…why is this device the only device that doesn’t connect with my phone? And then look at all of the low ratings on this equipment. And why should I have to remember to close my app every time I turn the car off? Their equipment is buggy and they don’t want to put in the effort to actually make their equipment work effectively. Horrible product…stay away. ### 1/5 — Won’t connect for it’s life *2021-09-20, version 1.5* I keep trying to connect it to my kit that I got professionally installed, so there’s almost no chance that there’s any error with that. It only connects like 25% of the time, and the remote almost never works too. ### 1/5 — Unable to connect with stereo+lights at the same time *2020-09-28, version 1.5* ASK FOR A REFUND BEFORE INSTALLING. I tried getting a refund and they refused. Your lights wont turn on unless you open the app. Even when you open the app, you have to disconnect your phone from your stereo first since you can only be connected to one at a time. App does not save any presets, it forgets them all. App has not been updated in almost a year, so ill doubt theyll fix a major problem. ### 1/5 — iOS needs to be updated! *2020-08-16, version 1.5* The app was working fine on iPhones, but I guess since Apple released their last updated my lights have not been able to connect at all and the app becomes to glitchy and crashes. I know it’s only on iPhones because I tried it on my friends Android and it worked perfectly fine. Super clean install, 8 hrs. I have a lift, removed all wheels, all wire ties and hidden, I used Alein tape and a outdoor silicone dabbed Between. Drilled and zipped tie the inner fender wells. Most of the time, the new app says I am not authorized... I have tried reinstalling the app, resetting power to the controller and even tried with another Iphone. I was going to try working with the controller, but I have to rip my dash apart to get to it. The app worked great the night prior to this patch release and just like microsoft, you managed to break something that was working great! I bought the exact same million color kit (wheel rings, interior and under-glow) for my son for christmas. Do I need to return that setup.....?
