I was able to unlock new chapters by watching and ads. I was able to do that and finished about 90% of a book before it no longer allowed me to open new chapters by watching ads. I then had to complete different tasks to earn points that would later become coins that could be used to unlock new chapters. I then was only able to unlock about 2 chapters a day which was super frustrating. However, overall it’s a way better app than other reading apps I’ve tried. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ads are longer than the chapters *2026-08-28, version 6.1.5* It’s nice that you can read the chapters on the book for free as long as you watch an ad. I don’t mind that. What I do mind is that every chapter is small, I mean, like really really small. Watching the ads takes a lot longer than reading a chapter. Ok, but then ads every third page, some of them minutes long. Finally you make progress with the story but it’s no longer free, they want more money than a normal book to read the end. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! ### 1/5 — Crazy expensive in the end *2026-08-24, version 6.1.3* I started reading a book and really enjoyed the rhythm of it. Not only was the book written well and the story enticing, after each chapter, an ad would play which would give access to the next chapter. However, now that I’m down to the last 10% of the book, it doesn’t give any Option for ads anymore. Instead, it would cost me more than $100 to be able to finish the story, which is a huge trip off. What happened to $10? Would bug me most is that that there was nothing indicating that I wouldn’t be able to finish the book, and that they waited until the very end to drop the bomb of the total cost. Decided to buy the $14.99/wk package figured I could read at least one story. I purchased at 11am and was out of coins by 7 pm at chapter 83, 20.8% of the story. At that rate it would have costed me about $75 to read a book I wouldn’t have a physical copy of.
