I’ve spent countless of hours and years playing this game and spending at least a couple hundred easily on this game (I neve don’t ever buy in game content except for this game) and having different accounts but it lacks updates and ways to earn and get stuff. After the campaign is done, which you can get done in a couple days with getting the right eddies like trooper and navigator eddie, but there’s not really a whole lot to do. Occasional raid bosses and tournaments here and there but it’s only entertaining for so long I love the keys you earn and unlock to earn more rewards but again that only gets you so far. I have a lot of friends who also play this game and we all agree to the simple one fact that it lacks updates. Like the silent planet update for instance. It’s just as bad as waiting for GTA6 been waiting for years for that to come out. ### 3/5 — Pain *2023-11-05* It’s my favourite game but now it won’t let me log back into my saved game that I’ve spent well over a year on and have bought two of my favourite Eddie’s. Done. ### 3/5 — There be Bugs and a bit of laziness *2022-08-17, version 7.12* A really great game with a lot of character options for combat, and nothing in the game is entirely out of reach. I just wish that 80% of the characters had the same stance, and I’m not talking about the fodder(3stars and below) didn’t all have the same pose and animations even when they look weird for their character models. Also, there is a glitch when summoning where you’ll summon using the crystals, and then they will automatically be back in your inventory along with the money you thought you spent and missing the character you thought you obtained; it’s really annoying. ### 4/5 — amazing, but turning extremely difficult *2022-07-22, version 7.12* i have to give solid props to the game developers because the graphics are STUNNING! also, the story is incredibly interesting! i am starting to get disheartened by gameplay, however, because even though it’s a strategy game, some of the character’s moves are EXTREMELY complex. some characters have more than 3 passives enabled when originally, basic characters had one passive, and the complex characters had up to three. also, some of the Talismans that you equip sometimes have more than 3 side effects. i’ve seen one with 6 side effects. it’s too complex. also, since i play on my iPhone, i have altogether given up on reading some of the effects since the print is tiny. even through gameplay, however, i can never fully tell what the effects are because there are so many. also, in some of the recent Senjutsu-themed battlegrounds, i can’t fully comprehend what the characters are saying. it’s almost like they’re speaking an ancient form of the english language. i am a simpleton, somewhat, so i find this language very alienating. other than that, i love the game. or at least how it was. ### 2/5 — Love Hate relationship *2022-07-01* I love the game. Hate the fact that every summons of characters I get the same ones over and over. Items are SO overpriced and when you do decide to do a minimal purchase to try and update your team, you hit another block like not enough gold or runes or something. Been playing off and on since the game came out but really becoming increasingly frustrated with the constant new characters that by default can kill a 8 star Eddie. Really? So all the time you spend upgrading your team only to be slaughtered by a new character that doesn’t even have 5 stars!! Really disappointing. AND you HAVE to have a internet connection all the time to play….crazy ### 2/5 — Repetitive, tedious and unrewarding. *2022-06-24, version 7.12* A glorified grinding game that has the most tedious of challenges with unbalanced (and sometimes seemingly unattainable) rewards. The only fun thing about this game is that it’s Iron Maiden themed with decent artwork. The battle mechanics feel unpolished and broken at times (it will crash or get stuck, forcing a restart). It has tons of cloned characters in an otherwise already data heavy game. The in-game store’s unnecessary amount of items (mostly useless, far from obtainable or overpriced) makes picking things out a chore, full of endless scrolling with a confusing mix of currencies (which you have to hunt around to find the actual amount you currently obtained). You get to collect Eddies and neat Maiden themed characters though, plus the music is a great. The Iron Maiden fan in me is the only thing that keeps me playing this, sadly. ### 5/5 — Greatest Mobile Game I’ve Ever Played!! *2022-03-16, version 7.12* Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is the greatest mobile game I’ve ever played. I really love this game because it actually has a great storyline in the mix. Alongside it’s great graphics, another thing this games has that makes it amazing, is the battles and characters. I also love that it plays Iron Maiden songs in the background. As an intense Iron Maiden fan, This game is a must play 5/5 Stars. ### 3/5 — Great game, but… *2022-02-22, version 7.12* Loving the game so far. I love these kinds of games, plus it’s cool that it’s based around a band’s mascot and brings in others (The Guy is what got me into it, hoping for a Knucklehead collab soon). But my problem is the logging in system. I’ll click on “Sign in with Apple” and it tells me to refresh the game. I do that, then it says it’s connecting my account, but the confirmation that I need to press to get into the game never pops up. The screen goes pretty dark, but the button I’m supposed to press at the bottom never shows up. I’ll click once on the screen and the button shows itself for a second and the game kicks me out again to try to make me start over again. I read some other reviews and saw I’m not the only one. I wrote a 5 star review of this game from when I played this game, perhaps 2 year ago now…And loved it. Now, your game takes ages to load, I agree with ChillyMcmudd and ruffasgutts, your game doesn’t even load sometimes. As a fellow metal head, this also shadows Iron Maiden. If you fix the ridiculous lag and whatever else is going on with your game mechanics, you will have a mosh pit of consumer’s (if that is your agenda). Up the Irons ### 1/5 — Wondered why I deleted this *2023-01-07* Then I redownloaded and found out again. An energy system that is absolutely god awful. One of the things they are desperate to sell to you. The grind for currency to summon is just as bad- it’ll take weeks to save up enough to a multi-summon. This app is simply not friendly to free-to-play users. ### 1/5 — Racket *2021-08-13, version 7.05.05* I have been playing this game for years now and have been a maiden fan since ‘81. That being said this game is glitchy and it’s setup so characters who are less powerful can easily beat the majority of consumers played characters. It’s also a money dump because of this and I watched my son who plays as well rack up over $70 in charges trying to beat a computer character that was clearly less capable than the characters being played with. I recommend this game only on nostalgia other than that do yourself a favor and go support the band by buying an album but not supporting these clowns who couldn’t program their way out of a mouse trap. Finally the support staff for the game a very rude and unhelpful with issues in the game and are slow to fix known issues. We play this game now but would never make another in app purchase, what a absolute joke. However, they kept adding more characters and talismans to the point that it was too hard to keep up with them all. Adding characters is great but you can do it too quickly and overload the system, which is what they did. Then they added the “keys” that unlock different levels. What a MESS! Some of them are impossible to win and taking the time to figure it out just makes the game not even worth playing. Sometimes I open up the game ..... look at it ..... and just shut it off. Games should be fun to play, not a chore to complete. The complexity of the game is a little overwhelming at first, but once you get the fundamentals down and build a good team, the complexity is what makes this game great. You can absolutely gain the higher level characters and compete at the highest levels without spending a dime. It won’t happen overnight but it’s super gratifying to finally gain a character/goal you’ve been working towards. I’ve spent $ in the game, mostly because I want to support what these amazing developers have done. It’s clearly a labor of love for them. Since I started playing this game, I don’t think I’ve even opened any of my other game apps. It’s unparalleled in the mobile gaming world. I’m a huge fan of rock/metal games and this one is by far is my favorite. The concept art and depictions are amazing and really makes the game interesting. I wish it was on console! I can’t wait for the silent planet and clan battle updates…. Looking forward to see what more you guys will do with this already creative and fun experience. One thing I will mention is how there’s no way to view owned talismans unless you click on a character.
