### 5/5 — More than an app

*2025-05-15, version 2.24.0*

Calling this an app is like calling a Ferrari a car! The app is only the interface to my training. So much data analysis behind the scenes prepping my daily, weekly, and monthly training. Whether I’m training for a race or building during development, the app tells me exactly what to do - I just have to follow the workout. This is the best, no need to try inferior products.

### 5/5 — The BEST app for multiport training and racing!

*2025-05-15, version 2.24.0*

I started using the TriDot in 2021, and I can confidently say it’s a game-changer for anyone serious about triathlon training.

From the moment I downloaded it, I was impressed by its user-friendly interface and the wealth of features tailored specifically for triathletes. I used it to train and complete my first full distance Ironman and now use it for all my multisport adventures including solo mountain bike races and Xterra!

One of the standout aspects of TriDot is its personalized training plans. The app uses advanced algorithms to create workouts that are customized to your fitness level, goals, and race schedule. This level of personalization ensures that every session is effective and geared towards maximizing performance on race day.

The app also excels in its comprehensive tracking capabilities. Whether you’re swimming, biking, or running, TriDot provides detailed analytics that help you monitor your progress over time. I love how it breaks down each workout, allowing me to see where I can improve and how I’m advancing towards my goals. I have even coupled that with an amazing TriDot coach and my performances have skyrocketed!

Another great feature is the community aspect. The app connects you with fellow triathletes and coaches, providing a platform for sharing experiences, tips, and motivation. This sense of camaraderie has made my training journey even more enjoyable and inspiring.

The TriDot Triathlon Training app is hands down the best tool for multiport training and racing. Its personalized approach, robust tracking, supportive community, and educational resources make it an essential companion for anyone looking to elevate their triathlon performance.

I wholeheartedly recommend it to both beginners and seasoned athletes alike!

### 5/5 — Improve while staying injury-free

*2025-05-14, version 2.23.1*

TriDot revolutionized my triathlon training. I have been using TriDot for over 4 years. Since starting to train with TriDot in 2021 I have seen significant improvements across all disciplines, especially running off the bike. TriDot’s pool school likewise is a game-changer; my improvements in the water are significant. Even better, I have been injury-free and train less which helps to balance work, family and training.

### 5/5 — Best Triathlon Training App

*2025-05-13, version 2.23.1*

TriDot helps streamline all of your triathlon training. You get workouts for swimming, biking, and running. After you do an initial assessment for each discipline, then the TriDot App gives you your workouts and what intensity level you should be doing them at. It really works.

### 5/5 — Best Tri Training App Out There!

*2025-05-12, version 2.23.1*

I’ve been using TriDot since 2018, and have set a PR and felt stronger in all of my races than I have in the past! You will see progression and all without overtraining and injury! Best app out there!

### 5/5 — Superior Product!

*2025-05-12, version 2.23.1*

I have had the opportunity and pleasure to utilize TriDot for my own athletic endeavors as well with several athletes throughout the world since 2016. The results have been beyond positive and it has contributed to getting people faster, more efficient, while preventing injuries. Additionally, the AI qualities really takes all of the guesswork out of the equation when integrating training sessions to be at our best on race day that are specific for each athlete.

### 5/5 — Kona Qualified

*2025-05-10*

I discovered TriDot 18 years into my triathlon journey and experienced immediate performance gains in all 3 disciplines. I opted to add in a coach to prepare for my first full at 50 years of age and qualified for Kona. 5 years on the platform and I am getting better results with less training volume and I have had zero injuries. As a retired educator, I also geek out on the AI engine that takes into account my age, weather, stress, and genetics to ensure that I am doing the right training each and every day. The gamification also adds a layer of fun!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-05-10, version 2.23.1*

I’ve used this app for about 5 years and it has helped me on so many races. This my only trainer I use

### 5/5 — The gold standard for triathlon training

*2025-05-10, version 2.23.1*

I’ve used TriDot long before they had an app… the platform is THE gold standard for triathlon training! I went from a low to mid age grouper to PRs and multiple Age Group Nationals qualifying races. This app contains everything you need to track, review and manage your training and racing! Don’t bother looking elsewhere you won’t find a better option anywhere!

### 5/5 — From starting to run to full Ironman

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

I started using TriDot for running 4 years at the recommendation of Coach Ken P. When I started, I struggled running a 5k, going way too hard in training. I completed my first 140.6 in 2025 and am planning on 2 this year. I’m 100% confident that with the prescribed training, I will once again be successful.

### 5/5 — Best triathlon training support

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

Started 1.5 years ago and am absolutely satisfied. Love weekly scheduling and functionalities for analysing. I use Tridot in addition to Garmin connect.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

I’ve been using TriDot now for about three years and it’s incredible. I love the detail of the workouts and how it pushes me to go harder. I do wish my performance levels were updated more frequently and that the app picked up my workouts and synced a bit better through my watch, but nothing is perfect. I also pay for a coach and I am very pleased with everything. The workouts and my coach give me the confidence to know I can do it. Through TriDot, I have successfully completed four half iron man competitions and three full Ironman.

### 5/5 — Easy to use, well designed

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

Been a TriDot user since 2017. Great training program and the app allows me access to much of everything on the website. Only area for improvement for me is having it remember my login or use facial recognition. And this is because I use it almost every day.

### 5/5 — It’s Great

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

I love this platform. It took my training up several notches and I’ve been setting PR’s regularly since I started it and kept consistent with the training it directs.

### 5/5 — A gift for a Husband , Father, aka normal guy

*2025-05-09, version 2.23.1*

Using tridot for 4 years, I self trained myself before. 15 1/2 and 3 fulls. The app simplify my life with a full job in Quality and board member of upstate family center I need it to be effective and efficient on my training, the app make it simple for me, I’m a task oriented person and everything is planned for me, I know sometimes life gets on the way of things and the plan change but the algorithm is well done and adjust itself. Be patient it takes some practice to master the sessions and focus on what is relevant. You got this and take the GIFT.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2025-07-26, version 2.29.0*

This service is not as advertised.

Workouts do not autosync from tridot to garmin device.

Activities doe not sync back to tridot.

Training cannot be customised.

Very misleading based on the copy used by tridot and Ironman.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2025-06-09, version 2.25.2*

These people will rip you off. I signed up for the 2 months free and realized I didn’t have time to train. I cancelled my subscription and here I am, after they have charged me for 3 months at 149 per month I’m fighting to get my money back. They can see I never once logged in and they aren’t willing to refund my money. I would never use this app. They are a rip off. Unbelievably unethical.

### 1/5 — Non functional iPhone app

*2021-12-28, version 2.0.61*

No ability to sync Apple Watch or fitness app data. Most of the links are broken in the app and some screen displays are too large and off center with no ability to access the buttons that aren’t displayed. No ability to move screen it’s just stuck. The app is basically useless on my iPhone. Selecting certain links in the update profile section automatically log you out of the app and that’s all they do. It’s a non functioning app, how does it have such a good rating? Maybe I’ve just happened to download during a really, really, glitchy update?

### 2/5 — Huge Potential

*2025-01-05, version 2.14.2*

This app has huge potential, but it is hugely lagging by comparison to platforms like TrainingPeaks. The UI feels like a web app, and I think the UX could be hugely improved if it was built natively. Right now, there are too many bugs, UI kinks, and issues to give it 5 stars. The program itself is wonderful and I think TriDot could grow it’s user base ten fold if it improved it’s application.

### 2/5 — Overtrained

*2024-06-14, version 2.10.4*

I had a rough time with the app. I’m completely overtrained just on the ‘normal’ amount. I’m no slouch but it’s around 10+ hours a week. 70% of the workouts are classed as high or extremely high stress. Barely any easy stuff I’ve burnt out using the app. It seems way to hard and not customised enough. I also had issues with not being able to send data to garmin on the same day if I move it. Some of the swims wouldn’t sync with Garmin for some reason. And the performance of the app is very slow navigating from one calendar page to the next.

### 3/5 — Clunky and not great for international users

*2024-05-22, version 2.10.2*

It’s not nearly as intuitive as Training Peaks and the app doesn’t sync with other apps as easy and as seamless. For example , you can’t even sync a workout from it to Zwift without manually having to upload the workout. Another thing , if your live internationally and in a different time zone and try to upload a workout it doesn’t show on the proper day and no clear wait to set your preferred time zone like on other apps. My coach however is awesome , the app isn’t.

### 3/5 — App is meh, program is good

*2022-07-03*

I’ve been using TriDot for about 1.5 months now. I’ve definitely noticed improvements. The training adapts to your performance, which is ideal since static plans don’t account for injury/sickness/etc. The price is definitely higher than comparable services (e.g. TrainerRoad)

That said, the app needs work. I always have trouble logging back in when it logs me out. You also basically NEED to be in the Garmin ecosystem to get the most out of this (can’t push workouts to Wahoo, for example). Half of the feature are in the app, and half will obviously launch a browser-based version to access certain features.

Overall the program itself is good. I just feel like the app should behave MUCH better than it currently does for the insanely high cost of the (usable) subscription tiers.

### 4/5 — Gute App mit Verbesserungspotenzial

*2025-09-04, version 2.32.0*

- 75m/125m Wiederholungen in Pools entfernen

### 4/5 — On the whole, a great start.

*2025-06-30, version 2.27.1*

First off, TriDot does work. I’ve trained with it for nearly 6 months, and I’ve seen great results. There are somethings though to know.

AI anything is only as good as the data it has. It is going to need a few weeks at least to get to know you, so keep that in mind as you start out.

The system as well is expecting you to be a grown up and to be able to take a bit of responsibility for yourself. If you’re having a bad week, or you have other stuff going on - don’t expect the AI to pick that up from your activities. You’re going to need to either skip or dial back sessions for yourself.

I would also stress that to me at least - this is aimed at quite serious athletes. You don’t need to be elite, but it is expecting you to be pretty committed to your training, because it’s going to give you quite a lot to do.

The issues so far.

It doesn’t have a meaningful way to manually add a pt / weights session. You can add it in your calendar, but TriDot doesn’t see it as such and certainly won’t change anything as a result of it. You can manually move your other sessions around yourself, but TriDot won’t do this for you, or modify any other sessions to compensate.

The interface is ok, but sometimes a little clunky. It’s worth saying that the desktop version is often easier to use than mobile. I didn’t even expect a desktop version to exist!

Integration with Garmin / Zwift has worked well for me.

It has no sort of ‘perceived effort’ tracking or interaction. That would be a great addition.

Sessions can be a little repetitive - but hey I guess you just have to do the work. Also, what would normally be a deload week here is test week. I hated having to do an ftp test every 4 weeks (spoiler alert!) but these do then get fed into the parameters for your coming weeks. I’d personally prefer it just used data from your ongoing activities and I got a deload week! (The test set up does work though because you still have some intensity but less volume).

It’s good how it rewards you for doing the session correctly. So say you smash a session and go way over target - you’d normally feel good, but you’ll not get high marks here. You’ll get better marks for staying in your pace zones and that then make everything more sustainable.

Support have been very good and responsive when I’ve had issues.

### 4/5 — Great app, not great UI

*2025-06-11, version 2.25.2*

Really great training sessions and offers a lot of great tools, but the app is very unintuitive and it can be hard to locate some metrics

### 5/5 — Runway to Tri Training

*2025-10-18, version 2.36.0*

As a new triathlete, TriDot has been like my runway, lighting up the path to successful training and growth as a triathlete. I’ve used TriDot for about 1.5 years now and have become and grown TREMENDOUSLY as a triathlete. I love that I don’t have to think up workouts or try to guess when it’s time to push my limits and how much to push. TriDot does that perfectly.
I prescribe to the Premium level account and also have an amazing coach with TriDot.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-10-18, version 2.36.0*

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-10-17, version 2.36.0*

Super easy to use and great for someone who doesn’t have access to a coach as I live remotely. Love the instant flexibility to adjust workouts to suit your weekly schedule and it syncs seamlessly with Zwift, Strava and Fuelin.

### 5/5 — Exceptional customer service

*2025-07-24, version 2.29.0*

I accidentally forgot to cancel my subscription, and after explaining my situation as a college student that can’t afford paying the monthly fee for training plans, the reimbursed me. I would highly trust TriDot

### 5/5 — Best Triathlon Training App out there

*2025-05-22, version 2.24.0*

By far the best training app out there. What it can do is amazing. Love how it adjusts the intensity of the intervals based on the temperature and when I’ve missed a couple days it knows exactly where I need to pick back up.
