I have emailed them, and even called. But, the case itself has been closed because they’re saying they haven’t heard from me. OK, so I go into the app to message them about this, but I cannot get out of keyboard function to send the message. I tried calling them. It’s 3:30 in the afternoon in Arizona and their offices are supposed to be open until 530. However, when I called, I was met with an automated system that says that their offices are now closed? At 3:30 in the afternoon?! That’s two hours early. So, I’m now left with email. I can get a quick consult if I need. They even include small things in the membership. For example writing a letter and sending it for me. Once a customer's intention to cancel a subscription has been communicated and confirmed by phone, continuing to bill while silently imposing additional, unstated requirements is unreasonable, misleading, and contrary to standard consumer protection practices. Even institutions dealing with significantly greater financial risks—including banks and credit card issuers—allow for complete account closure over the phone after identity verification. LegalShield's insistence on additional written notification, without documented proof or follow-up, appears deliberately designed to hinder cancellation and prolong billing. This practice effectively shifts the burden of responsibility onto the consumer, allowing LegalShield to continue charging monthly fees despite a clear request for cancellation. They charged me for 11 months without providing any service and wouldn’t cancel after repeated requests. I’ll refund request were denied even though they can see. In my case, calls were routed to attorneys who provided very general guidance that didn’t go beyond what’s readily available online. I made multiple good-faith attempts to get help with active legal matters, but follow-ups were delayed or didn’t happen the same day. For a paid service, I expected more timely and substantive support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend it for urgent or complex legal needs. It helped me navigate through HOA fees got me reimbursed $606 then helped hold a repair business account accountable for a warranty issue and got my will done. This is something I don’t even think twice about cancelling. My law firm and customer service have both helped me with issues big or small!! ### 5/5 — Worth it *2025-12-11, version 6.4.32* I’ve had the service for at least 4-5 years and had to use them at least 2-3 times during that time period. Well worth it, considering I didn’t end up with points accessed for Speeding. Don’t get it twisted, when they negotiate on your behalf, the courts are still going to want their pound of flesh, so you will likely pay a fine. No points is better, since it negatively impacts your insurance in the hundreds if not thousands. ### 5/5 — Traffic Ticket *2025-08-16, version 6.4.29* I received a traffic ticket and all I had to do was take a picture of the ticket. A picture of my license. Send it through the mobile app that Legal Shield provides and an attorney went to court for me not to mention the ticket was in Virginia and I live in South Carolina, they literally sent an attorney in Virginia to court for me. I probably was not gonna go to court. I was probably just gonna pay that ticket if I didn’t have this service. That alone saved me over $800 because the attorney got the ticket marked down with no points, no insurance increase and all I had to do is pay a fee of $85. ### 5/5 — Personal legal services *2025-06-21, version 6.4.29* We have had this service for a number of years and when needed, they have always provided the professional help, recommendations, and solutions for the legal questions we had. They have written so many letters for me that made all the difference in very stressful situations. I’ve used it in over 7 states for my home, rentals, contractor issues, getting a deposit back, traffic tickets in various states because of travel. They have saved me so much money and time. I even had them review a $5 charge I didn’t understand on my Comcast bill. They discovered it was bogus and they got all those charges refunded for me. If people leave a bad review, they don’t understand the plan.
