Mobile app leaves a lot to be desired, get the feeling that the developer is no longer as invested in the project. After searching for a very long time I thought I’d found the ONE only to discover that they’d designed what might be the perfect task/note solution but not seen it through. When synced the functionality is great and it works well with the web app. Fix the syncing and this would be 4 or 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Innovative *2017-06-14, version 1.22* This, alongside the PC platform is a really innovative approach to task management, genuinely combining task event and email management in one place and making instances of these interchangeable with each other. The app works well and judging from the developers blog it seems likely that more developments will happen. This is especially so when not over wifi. It's much more useable now. Very useful. 5 stars. All I can do with the iPad app is add tasks, change dates, and move from agenda to outline. Can't even figure out how to mark a task complete. Let me know when the app is ready. Your Chrome extension really works well. When I open it, there's a brief message saying "Loading documents...", then just a blank white screen. iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5th gen, iPadOS 16.3. It runs nicely on iPhone and iMac. Under the circumstances, I must rate it one star until this is resolved. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2021-08-17, version 3.0.6* The iOS app is buggy and I am struggling with the transition to Legend on the web version while this app is still called moo.do and hasn’t updated. I would sure like to see a great improvement of this. I do not appreciate that I had to create an account to get started with this app when it turned out to be inaccessible. ### 1/5 — Won't even load email... *2017-09-25, version 1.24* This was great on the desktop, but on mobile it won't even load emails... ### 1/5 — Good Service, Bad App *2017-05-06, version 1.21* After a while the app just keeps crashing on launch and only a reinstall fixes it. For a limited duration. Essentially making the app unusable. I really love Moo.do but the app provides a frustrating experience. ### 1/5 — Need a google account *2014-10-13, version 1.14* It should have been mentioned that a Google account is needed to even access the app! I so do not want to sync this with my google account. What a waste of time. Deleting this. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — super helpful- looking for updates soon! *2025-05-14, version 7.0.5* i’ve used this for a month and am so in love. i love how it syncs to google calendar, the way it organizes, and how simple it is, as i’ve gotten too overwhelmed with other organization apps like notion before. i hope in the future they have panes for alternative ai sites other than chat gpt, like perplexity or gemini. i do wish the filters/sort could be a little more user friendly-like being able to filter for multiple things like dates in the next week and undated items at the same time. the google drive pane also in the laptop version doesn’t work, but that’s not my most prioritized pane. would be happy to do a user usability test! surprised this isn’t more popular. ### 5/5 — Best to-do, list-making, and outlining app I’ve found…. *2021-05-08, version 3.0.4* …and as you can see those are all apps that are very polarizing and a dime a dozen. I’ve probably tried 30+ apps that you can use for to-do, list making, outlines, note taking, and even project management. The truth is they all have pros and cons and at a certain point you have to pick one and become accustomed to it. The perk of picking moo.do is it’s very mailable and can be used in many ways for many situations and workflows, but the downside to that freedom and lack of structure is there’s a bit of a learning curve and it takes a while to figure out how you want to use it. There are also some features that just don’t translate well to a small screen and won’t be as useful on mobile as on desktop. If you are like me and use it mostly on mobile at least open it up on desktop to see what you might not even know it can do. Finally, one big thing I like about it is that it has an api. I used a similar app called Workflowy for years, but like many users who were begging fir an api for years finally gave up and after some searching ultimately switched to moo.do ### 5/5 — The best Todo/outline app! *2020-02-07, version 2.0.21* Moodo surprises with stunning functionality. A real Swiss knife of productivity tools. I really love the redesign. Great progress guys! Keep up the great work guys! ### 5/5 — Godly to-do list app, best UI interface ever *2017-06-08, version 1.22* Originally I rated this app 3 stars because I had to overcome a few bugs, but I've rerated it to five stars because the UI for this to-do list app is the single best I've ever used. This is in comparison to all of any.do, Todoist, Clear, Wunderlist, Swipes, Trello: I have tried all of these and moo.do comes out on top. As a doctor and someone who also does a bit of programming, functions like search and priority and hashtags and reminders are all incredibly useful, but unlike other apps moo.do keeps it minimalist enough to look very nice. The syncing online cross-platform was also a crucial component that would have been make or break for this app. Please continue developing this app to make it less buggy, but you guys absolutely nailed it with the powerful mix of versatility and minimalism. I've never found a greater to-do list app than this, except for maybe Taskwarrior which isn't on par as it doesn't have a good iOS client. Probably the only to-do app I would actually pay for (apart from Clear because Clear is cheap but now doesn't sync), but please don't make it $70... Please whatever you do, do not change the overall UI look in terms of simple text on white backgrounds, and please do not chunk tasks into cards like Trello or blocks like Wunderlist. UPDATE 8/6/17 Still a godly UI. It's also amazing that the native Mac app was released. Unfortunately still a bit buggy: could you please fix uncompleted tasks from appearing as if they were completed? A bit crucial. ### 5/5 — Makes my life simpler? *2017-03-13, version 1.20* Yep. Notes, tags and emails. Gets it done. No fuss! ### 5/5 — Excellent productivity tool for Google users *2016-12-06, version 1.20* Moo.do is a very cool productivity tool, not just a task manager. It handles Gmail, Drive and Google Calendar integrations brilliantly with more integrations to come I'm told. Its built off the model of Taskpaper and the more current Workflowy but with the added usefulness of apps like Todoist. It's very helpful to have your Gmail right there in the app, where you can create a task from an email. There's an Agenda view that shows your calendar info and an Outline view to plan your projects. There's a little learning curve and many of the features are Pro only(yearly sub is expensive), but there's also a web/Chrome app which has feature parity with mobile which isn't always the case with apps like this. This app is one to watch for! It's grown so much already. ### 5/5 — A great organizer *2015-07-11, version 1.17* It's a great and flexible organizational tool that continues to get better.
