## What is Legendary Hammers?

TLDR: Cure Neurological Disease in an immersive and educational (completely free) RPG.

Concept:
- When you play a game that you enjoy, you learn more than you may realize: game rules, character and object names, and even complex mechanics (i.e. that enemy is vulnerable to this item).
- Can we build a game that is actually fun to play but leverages game mechanics to teach? This is our goal.

Target Audience:
- While the game is designed to be accessible and fun to anyone, the actual knowledge is meant for pre-medical students, medical students, Neurology residents, or Neurology staff. 

Gameplay:
- 2d, top down, pixel-art RPG with casual gameplay to progress through regions
- Each region is based on an area / subspecialty of Neurology, chosen specifically to reflect real-world examinations
- Regions contain Sick Souls inflicted with Neurological disease
- Each Sick Soul has particular vulnerabilities, which you must exploit by unlocking and upgrading relevant modules (attack and defense)
- Dungeons are designed to reinforce a particular concept related to the module (i.e. important neural networks or pathophysiology), and playing a perfect game grants upgrades to that module
