### 4/5 — Timers... Multiple Currencies...

*2020-05-28, version 0.8.4.1*

I have been able to play without spending money. But the timers and multiple currencies make me think its coming-
Well made game tho. I would definitely pay for a timer free version.

### 4/5 — One problem

*2018-08-03, version 0.8.1*

The screen will randomly go black for a random amoint of time and its really annoying

### 5/5 — Aesthetically pleasing

*2017-05-08, version 0.8.1*

Great graphics, love the color pallet. Nice art style, and cute characters, easy gameplay too.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2017-05-01, version 0.8.1*

If only it had an original title name, it could possibly be a huge hit

### 5/5 — Therapeutic and addictive

*2017-04-07, version 0.8.1*

well design characters and simple game structure. It will be better if there is news showing and explaining more on the argus character and skill set.

### 5/5 — Git gud

*2017-03-10, version 0.8.1*

I need to git Gud. Awesome game

### 5/5 — Relaxing

*2017-03-06, version 0.8.1*

It's a relaxing game

### 5/5 — update

*2017-01-18, version 0.7.5*

One of my favorite games. I am one of the top ranked world players, and have been playing this game for quite a while now. A lot more strategy is involved in battles than is originally apparent. Anyone who says the game is boring, and just plays itself, has not played enough to have learned the intricacies of the game. When you get good enough, the game becomes an interesting mix of both being relaxing and exciting to play. Be patient, upgrade your warriors, learn your team tactics, and you will go far...

### 5/5 — Serious Game Reviewer

*2017-01-10, version 0.7.5*

Legendary Warriors is a fantastic game, with its interesting story, beautiful graphics, and challenging battle system. That's why I do believe Legendary Warriors does deserve Five Stars.

But I do hope they change the Stamina Charge because playing seven rounds ain't enough, I can't wait six hours for the Stamina to Recharge again just for seven rounds that will last me in near seconds.

### 5/5 — IT JUST FEELS GOOD TO PLAY

*2016-02-07, version 0.5.4*

Its one of those games that makes you feel like your in a far away land struggling to save everything no matter the cost. The aesthetic is one that never lets you stop feeling the presence of this other world and the music loop keeps you grounded in the fact you must continue forward no matter what!

It will be really interesting to see this game develop it game play, the characters, and the world in which this whole story takes place in.

### 4/5 — Decent tactical with neat fantasy elements

*2016-01-09, version 0.5.4*

I'll give it 4 stars. It is fun and the art for it is top notch. But it's severing lacking in story beyond its concept and the characters are much too flat. Pun intended. This game shows a lot of promise and the tactical side of it can actually be engaging and challenging. Not certain on the system and the very linear battle map. It could use some more free sprawling or even exploration elements.

### 4/5 — A pleasant experience

*2015-12-11, version 0.5.2*

I enjoy the strategy and resource management elements of this game. I'm certainly thinking more than I do during most free-to-plays.

You are most rewarded for patience and taking the game at a slow pace. For instance, you can spend stamina (used to play the game) to get mana (used to upgrade your warriors). This is a strange element. I find it kind of odd how I'm rewarded for NOT playing :)

The music and art are really lovely.

It's a very rewarding experience even without spending any money.

The free-to-play annoyances are kept to a minimum. There isn't a pushy social element (Candy Crush). There are ads for gold, but they cleverly only ask you if you want to watch an ad once you've run out of stamina. This results in videos always coming at the end and not the middle of your session. It's surprisingly nice.

### 5/5 — A freemium yet a pleasant surprise.

*2015-11-14, version 0.5.0*

This game has blown my mind visually, and in the fact that the in game wait for what is otherwise a financial burden isn't bad at all. There's plenty of bonuses and opportunities to continue the game if your cards are played right. And quite frankly a game like this I don't mind spending the extra couple bucks for this and that. And as it says it is good for both leisure and experienced players that is wildly correct. I've so far had a very wonderful experience with this game.

### 5/5 — Challenging but unique

*2015-11-14, version 0.5.0*

The art is what really brought me to this game. The game play is a little slow but the challenge comes from not controlling your characters once they start. Im not fond of the wait time for full stamina, its a bit odd to use all of it and then wait hours to play again. Overall Im excited to see where the game is headed.

### 5/5 — My new fave!

*2015-11-11, version 0.4.8*

This is a pretty great game all around. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is catchy, and the battle system is a nice change of pace from other games. I also love how I'm not being constantly bombarded with adds, and the adds that I do see give me the choice of watching them (for added in game bonuses), or skipping them all together. I love all the different characters, and their different abilities. There is definitely lots of strategizing before every battle!

### 4/5 — Really Beautiful

*2015-11-08, version 0.4.8*

Really beautiful game. Fantastic design, from the wonderful music to the top-rate graphics. Plot is kind of awkwardly thrown in and that's too bad. The whole thing is surprisingly immersive, but now and then the game requests that you watch an ad for some measly reward. I also wish this wasn't freemium—I would have paid up front for this game at several dollars.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I want to like it...

*2015-09-05, version 0.3.3*

This game lives up to its claim that it is very pretty. The graphics and character designs are really cool.

Problem is, though...that's all it has going for it. It's dull. You press a button and then just sit back and watch your team battle, occasionally pressing another button to use skills. Garbage gameplay, no challenge or strategy whatsoever. The characters look cool/cute, the animal theme is charming, but they have zero personality and development, so it's easy to lose interest. Story's flat and very basic. "Typical farm-bred hero guy has some family member kidnapped and goes on a big dumb adventure, wa-hey! Also there are monsters and it's dark out I guess for reasons, save the world from darkness or whatever." About as meh as meh can get. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The fact that the English localization is also awful is just the last nail in this game's coffin. Typos I can forgive, but the dialogue and sentence structure is so stilted and awkward that it's clear that the translation from Japanese to English was barely worked on. It's too bad this game turned out to be just good looks.

### 1/5 — RPG that plays itself

*2015-09-03, version 0.3.3*

This game suffers from not knowing what kind of interaction a game needs to be fun. The game is an extremely watered down RPG. The art style is the only thing this game has going for it. The sickening camera keeps jumping from one character to the next, making it confusing since it never stays in one place. The game lags when you try to use your skills, which is literally the only thing you can interact with during combat. The characters are 2D where they have no development. This is how a normal "conversation" goes in this game, "Hey I see you are fighting monsters, I'll join you on your quest!" And that's it, no follow up, no backstory, no interaction. The music is generic and there are two battlegrounds (granted I am in the first area). Some units are useless and others are way too powerful. This game is not even fun to watch. This game is only worth anything if you look at the great looking art style, but you should only look at screen shots.

### 2/5 — 3.5 Hours to refill stamina?

*2018-11-12, version 0.8.1*

How do you sustain users to continue playing when a refill to continue playing requires a 3.5 hour wait time? Pretty game, but there’s a handful of other exact concepts that adhere to realistic replays and game-time.

### 2/5 — New game?

*2018-04-21, version 0.8.1*

Can’t figure out how to make a new game.

### 2/5 — Nice looking and little else

*2017-12-31, version 0.8.1*

Leavin art-design aside this game has little to offer, its slow paced, repetitive and quite simply not very entertaining. A nice design is certainly a plus but if it’s all it’s got to offer that’s not what gaming is for me at least.

### 2/5 — Simply Stunning, but Lacks so much Depth

*2015-10-08, version 0.4.6*

The game keeps me entertained for about a few minutes every 7+ hours. Honestly, the only thing that this game has going for it, is that it's pretty. Other than that, game play is dull, battle system is awkward and boring, character development is rarely found anywhere, gathering units and grading them up is a pain, getting gold is a skill all on its own, the dialogue is simply terrible. Needs so much work! I wish I could like this game more.

### 2/5 — Potentially good

*2015-09-07, version 0.3.3*

I've played this game for a couple of days, and I've got to say that, while I'm still interested, the game's not THAT interesting.
The art style is great, and I like the premise, but those are the only good qualities the game has. The music's not bad, but there's little variety to it: there's the over-world song, the two battle songs, the treasure song, and maybe one other, and that's it. And it all repeats.
There's also little game play that requires player input. There're the skills during combat and deciding when each warrior engages, deciding whether to move on to the next battle or rest back in town, and that's it. Everything else is just simple party management.
Then there's the camera during combat. It continually and randomly zooms in and out and zips back and forth so much that it becomes distracting, disorienting, and - I'm guessing for some players - nausea-inducing.
The thing is this game has the potential to be good. It already has the foundation to be a long arduous journey - right now, though, it's more of a slog - it just needs more improvement.

### 2/5 — Not the RPG I was hoping for

*2015-09-04, version 0.3.3*

First off I have to say I love the art style, unfortunately that's about the best this "game" has to offer. There's very little interaction when it comes to gameplay. Once the fight starts there are two total things you can do tactic wise. You can choose to leave party members in the back while the others fight and you can occasionally activate skills. Other than this, the fights play out completely on their own. You can occasionally level up your party members which automatically upgrades their stats. You can also upgrade their skills to make them more effective. This is about as deep as the game gets.

### 3/5 — Eh

*2020-12-01, version 0.8.4.1*

Great graphics and good mechanics, also not pay to win. But the loading times are just long enough to be annoying, especially considering how often they happen. The many currencies can get confusing (I still don’t know how you gain skill points) and the skills and attributes of the characters could be better explained.

### 3/5 — Stamina kills it

*2015-10-08, version 0.4.6*

The stamina 8 hour resets is hard to deal with. I typically only get to use 14 stamina a day because I'm asleep or busy for the other two resets. The combat is engaging and does require interaction, despite what some other guy wrote. It's a micro game about balancing aggro, back attacks, and health management. Playing around stamina resets is a pain though, and the cost to buy stamina with gold gets ridiculous without waiting for a reset so that's not a viable option.

### 5/5 — The good, the bad

*2021-06-01, version 0.8.4.1*

Beautiful artwork and cool character designs.
Very relaxing to play. No need to pay to play

On the downside, the stamina system taking 8 hours of regeneration for only 7 battles maximum is what kills momentum for the game. Also, you can choose to use 1 stamina to regenerate 10% of a single warriors health, so you could regenerate 70% maximum after a recharge and then not be able to battle for another 8 hours. However, I do think this healing system is fair, so instead of reducing the time it takes to regenerate all your stamina, you should be able to acquire more stamina as you level up. This would make the game not move at a snails pace and prevent someone from sitting and playing all day. The game suffers from not enough play time and too much waiting/recovery time. In my experience, I was stuck in an area at Elstari Ruins for weeks because it took many attempts to get all of my characters to finally be at optimal levels to fight the stronger opponents and make it to the next town. I was able to get 10-14 chest unlocks per day and would only be able to level up a single character once or twice. I like the reward system and how it’s the luck of your draw, and I like the growing difficulty the farther you move along, but players would simply need more stamina to want to keep playing. The aesthetics are most of what makes this game fun to play, it just needs more play value per sessions. Another thing that could make the game interesting is if when you grade up, as a characters stats increase, so should their appearance in some way. So by the time they’re at grade 5, they look as powerful as they’ve become.

Just my thoughts, I still enjoy this game very much. Would love to see the developers come back to this game.
