Please add Dark Mode though, because Lego Life is like a flashlight when you open it 😂If we could post videos (or at least Stop Motions) that would be awesome! One thing that would be really helpful, would be having the ability to favorite or search friends. That would be really useful when tagging people, as I have over 2 thousand friends. (And some people have even more) Other than that, Lego Life is amazing and I really recommend it! Please consider adding my suggestions, because it would improve Lego Life tremendously, and many people would appreciate it. Thanks for reading! Edit: In the past few months, my posts have been getting reported more and more. They get reported for not being original when I literally have the photo on my camera. Every time I try to repost them, they get rejected at least twice by the moderator for not being original. One of my posts got reported within 10 minutes of me reposting it. Please do something about the report button, or take it away all together. I’ve been using the app for about two years now, and I’ve fell in love with the app. When I joined LL along with my brother, it was my dream to get at least 100 friends on the app. Now I have close to 300 friends and met so many other Ninjago fans. There are some flaws with the app though. For starters, if you want to make a post it has to go through the moderators, but these “moderators” aren’t the most intelligent. I guarantee everyone on the app has had problems with the moderators. The second problem I have issues with is that I get logged out of my account every time there is an update. Recently I was logged out and I am still unable to get back into the app because the email my account was on is no longer in service, so please make a feature to change the email. The third and final problem on the app is reporters. This personally hasn’t happened to me, but many of my friends on the app deal with this problem. I can’t say that the app isn’t worth downloading, but it has its flaws. If you are looking to get this app, I definitely recommend it. **Developer response:** Hi there! Reporters report my stuff for fun, and even say it was “funny” to report it. Some things are taken down after a report for false rejections like PERSONAL INFO, in a Star Wars post! I am in person in Lego Life who has never shared a single piece of personal info. Star Wars posts are also taken down for talking about other brands, and not being Lego related. When it’s a LEGO IMAGE. Photographers always get targeted since the children on the app also love to steal from us, and say they made it. When we say it was ours they YELL. And when we report, NOTHING HAPPENS. Why? Because moderators don’t understand a thing. That’s why we need to be able make custom report messages so that we can actually say what’s wrong, and if an image in on the internet, we give a link for proof, this would be a think locked for accounts under the age of 13 we also need a report appeal system, that way we can appeal to a report and give reasons it shouldn’t have been reported so that it can be brought back up. This isn’t just some “if it’s reported and taken down it’s for a good reason” this is kids false reporting on purpose and when we show we are upset they say “Ha ha! That was me, and I had fun doing it” You see? EVIL. Lego Life have VILLAINS. Ok I love how it’s lego social media and it’s clean no unapproved pics so nothing bad can be posted and no texts rather the great job or cool etc etc... the thing I was really mad ab is that the app requires you or your parents SSN or credit card number it just feels unsafe and a bit sketchy don’t get me wrong this is just for security reasons I’m sure but that really personal and if my phone got hacked it’s possible the hackers could find and use My SSN and credit card number but the app is dedicated to safe family friendly social media which is great bc other apps like TikTok, Snapchat, are really un family friendly so... let me put this in a summary: Good app great for lego loving kids but just too personal for me.👍🏼❤️ ### 4/5 — Fabulous yet... *2021-11-02, version 2021.10* Hi, I love this app and care deeply about it. I’ve been on it for almost 4 1/2 years after all. However, through the years, the app has changed drastically. Some for the better, others, not so much. One of the things that I believe could be improved is the Moderation team. Posts are constantly rejected for the wrong reasons. Just today I tried posting a picture of random LEGO bricks with some words on them, and it got rejected for “Not having the LEGO look.” It’s extremely annoying. I have this problem almost every time I post. And I know I'm not the only one either. Almost all the users I talk to have this same issue. We're tired of it. So LEGO, I ask of you to please fix this! However, I love some of the newer features like sharing chats. Super cool. I love & thank you for adding the groups Storytelling, Photography, Art, Comics, & Fantasy! We love them! Though I have to ask, maybe you could add more pictures options when posting? I write stories & share them in the photos, but sometimes I can’t fit the whole chapter in just 4 photos. But, one complaint I have is the verification! I understand it is “To make LegoLife safe for kids of all ages, we ask your parent or guardian to verify your account! 🔒 So you can be super safe online! First, you can’t use letters to write your comments, you can only use stickers and emojis, and there’s not a lot of them. My favorite emoji is the one that the yellow emoji person is laughing so hard that it cries . 😂this one. They don’t have it. In fact, they don’t have any emoji that represents laughing. They only have smiley faces. You can’t choose your nickname. It would be nice to be able to customize your nickname because it would make it a lot easier to remember your name and your friend’s name. I forgot my own name already. Also, I don’t like my nickname!!! It sounds so weird! Other people’s too. Last thing, there is WAY TO MUCH PROTECTION to start taking pictures of your Lego creations, you need to tell them your phone number, date of birth, credit card number, I know this is an app for younger children, but it’s just too much! But the MODS! Alright. Let me explain. On LL, I’m someone who does Ninjago edits of scenes from the show. Like Jaya edits, random edits like Ninja Never Quit, and also funny edits from where I pause the video and make a random meme from it. But almost EVERYTIME I post one, the mods will automatically reject it saying its not original. Which, it is! The EDIT itself is my own original content as they put it. I mean, maybe the photos I used aren’t originally mine cause I mean they’re LEGO’s, but still! Its super annoying. I wish we still had real mods instead of robot ones which CLEARLY think a picture from GACHA LIFE is LEGO instead of my own builds I make! Seriously what happened to real moderators? I miss them. From the moment I first installed Lego Life, I was amazed at how creative the Lego community was! I saw lots of creative things like comics, edits, and even contests! I was blown away by the amounts of Lego lovers out there! I’ve made so many amazing online friends on Lego Life and we’ve formed awesome memories together! I myself am a TfoL (Teen fan of Lego) and I still love the bricks! At first I saw all of theses posts with hundreds of likes and I thought I would never make it! But here I am! One of the rather popular creators on Lego Life! Recently there has been a problem where amazing creator’s accounts have been getting deleted for no valid reason. I don’t know if this is a glitch or if they got banned but I know that it is a bad problem that needs to be fixed. Now, back to the positives. Lego Life just added a brand new feature! The Gif feature! This allows creators to make Stop-Motion mini videos that loop around! This is an awesome feature that many will love! That being said, I would definitely recommend this app for any fan of Lego no matter the age! My post of a masked person I built out of lego blocks was rejected and the next day I saw something totally INAPPROPRIATE for this app. Second, please please please add more character customization options. The outfits are not the best and one of the skin colors on a shirt does not have A SINGLE FACE that matches it. You need more girl faces. And add some boys with eyeglasses. My friend got this app and he has glasses and he hates his avatar cause it does not look like him. And PLEASE add more hair. Some improvements: *2020-11-12, version 2020.14* I really love this app! You worked so hard to make it safe, and it is pretty easy snd fun to use. But in the classic minifigure avatar customization, I noticed a few things. First, I would like it if we were able to change the skin color of the classic avatars, kind of like in the friends-style avatars. Second, I noticed that there are only 5 classically female head styles in classic avatar customization. The rest are what would be classified as male. You really need to add more female heads. I personally don’t really like any of them anyways, and am currently using a cyber ninja head. (I think Jay’s?) Side note: I noticed the same thing with hairpieces. The third thing you should add is the ability to, like skin color, change the color of hairpieces and maybe even other parts, (torsos and legs and such) which brings me to my final improvement: we should be able to customize our own minifigure avatar pieces by choosing base colors and adding details. You could put a restriction on it, so that we could only make 5 pieces or something, but I think it would be really cool. Thank you, and I really hope you put these into the game! Don’t get me wrong, but I think the moderator is being a little bit picky about what to post and what to reject. Once, I posted one of my new sets and it was rejected. But other than that, this game is perfect! Also, it take forever to load certain things. Bye the way, MadamSecretTiger was right about MissPreciousCup copying the creations. That’s why I friend requested both of them. I will still make it super appropriate I just want it to get through. Also I love Star Wars and Star Wars has guns and my new mandalorian story is Star Wars so I can’t just not have guns so pls help? Question #2: everything in a group except people’s posts aren’t there I think multiple ppl are having this issue like for example videos and everything else it says something about how it’s not there now and how I should check other cool stuff but the wired thing is the Star Wars group works! A few bugs, please read. *2020-07-27, version 2020.8* So, this app is my favorite! But there are a couple things to fix. #1: I cant change my avatar. Whenever i change my avatar, it always stays as the one i had when i logged in. I tried to do it in settings, but it didn't work. Also, maybe a few more avatar selections? Ninjago is the reason i started LEGO, but they dont have much Ninjago styles. Maybe the Golden Ninja? Or even a Zane. Anyway, #2: I cant turn on notifications. I tried to turn it on in the app but it didn't say anything for it. So i tried to do it in my phone settings, but it didn't say anything about notifications. Also, there is a minor bug, and basically it changes a lot of the group pictures to the LEGO Cowboy minifigure. Its not a big deal, but maybe work on it? Also, there is a glitch that when im creating my posts, it moves the picture down a bit. Also, can you please bring back the "In Real Life" group? Also, please bring back picture of the week. Thanks! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — moderation and reporters *2020-08-19, version 2020.8* alright i don’t know what happened but ever since the redesign of the app moderation has been AWFUL, the bots reject posts that follow the guidelines for random reasons and it’s just hell, now i actually did verify my account yet I CANT POST, i did add my credit card information (which by the way if you steal my money shame on you) yet it still gets removed. now when it does work this is where the reporters come in, i think the report sistem should be a little more restrictive because i don’t care that little jimmy reported a post as “unoriginal” even though it’s art that THAT PERSON MADE, YET IS F A N A R T OF ONE OF YOUR PROPERTIES the report sistem has always been awful but it’s just gotten worse since the update and frankly should be more restrictive, and before you say “oh well if it’s reported then it’ll go back up!” NO THEY DO NOT, THE SECOND LITTLE JIMMY PRESSES THAT DANG BUTTON ITS AN INSTANT REJECTION overall the moderation and report systems are awful please fix the bots and make reporting harder to do, sincerely creator pondering lasha ### 1/5 — Great App, but I’m Having an Issue Edited March 28 *2020-03-29, version 2020.02* I love this app and think you set it up wonderful. I’m having an issue with my videos and challenges. A bunch of challenges and videos just got deleted. All of them for some reason moved to the Legoland group. Other users have had the same issue. How can I fix that or is there an update yet? I will be patient. 2. I think you should let us comment words on people’s posts. If the mods can check words on Lego’s posts, couldn’t they do it on other user’s posts? I understand you are trying to prevent bullying, but sometimes for me as a user, the stickers are a bit unclear. I don’t know if someone is trying to be nice or mean. And I can’t ask that person what they mean because I can’t comment words. Other than that it is an amazing app and I love it! If you’re thinking about downloading this app, I would! First of all the silly nicknames, now I know it is to keep people safe but honestly do they need to be things like “uncle mighty turtle” I mean it’s like a 4 year old is making up these names, what I’m saying is that these aren’t names they are jokes. Secondly the app doesn’t work (for me at least) the app will not let me make an aviator, at first it worked and I was creating one but then I closed my phone and opened it again and it was back at the start telling me to create an aviator so I went to do it again and it would not let me click the button to create one. I deleted the app and then downloaded it again then I opened it and there was my account just like it was before and I tried creating an aviator and AGAIN it would not let me I tried this several more times and was not successful. I have currently deleted the app and do not plan on downloading it again if this error is not fixed. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. ### 2/5 — I should be able to make my own account *2022-04-09, version 2022.3* I love Lego Life, but I find the new required verification quite inconvenient. You have to submit a passport, drivers license, or credit card number in order to post things on the app. I find this rather invasive, and I believe it is completely possible to have a safe app environment without requiring a form of ID. I don’t understand why having an adult verify their email isn’t enough of a safety precaution. I think this extra step is quite inconvenient, as most parents aren’t comfortable giving so much personal information out to a company. Additionally: I’m a 14 year old that is perfectly capable of making my social media account. Having a parent give out there credit card information does nothing to improve my safety on the internet. The app would be just as safe if all parents had to do was verify their email. I am now unable to post anything, due to the invasive nature of this security. ### 2/5 — Login is broken. *2022-01-16, version 2022.1* Hello, I am here writing a review on the app. First off all, the login is broken. When my mother attempts to verify with her ID, the moment she clicks start, the account creator gives us an error message. Also, me and my mom are deciding to not use credit card verification because we don’t put our trust into random websites like these ones. There’s too much security, and even though that’s good, it’s very inconvenient and it’s driving kids away from your app. Second, this is extremely complicated. How is a 9 or 10 year old supposed to remember all of the steps to edit your avatar, look at creations, even making an account is harder than it should be. The only reason this isn’t an instant 1 star review is because the main purpose of the website is to have LEGO creators share projects, and even though you did it kind of badly, you still did it in some way and A for effort, I guess. If I were you, I’d fix the login and make it easier, and then try to make other features slightly less complicated. I’m looking forward to the future of LEGO life, but if you keep going on the path you’re “walking on,” this platform won’t live for much longer. ### 2/5 — An ok app with a lot of flaws. *2018-10-04, version 1.6.3* I want to start by saying that this app is a great way to show the world your builds and to see other peoples builds. However, it has a few major problems. First off, the character creator has a serious lack of normal clothing and faces. It feels kinda childish when My character ends up looking like something out of a sci fi movie, when I just want to make a normal guy. Second, the comment section. You are limited to 10 characters, and you are only able to use emojis and stickers. I understand that kids use this app so censorship is an issue, but you could have moderators or a comment filter. If club penguin figured it out 10 years ago, you can definitely figure it out today. This app is intended to be a way to share creations and get peoples input on them, but they can’t even say what they feel. You are left with a stupid sticker instead. I genuinely see potential in this app being a place where builders can come together and share builds with each other, but until this communication barrier is removed, it will not be appealing to the majority of builders. This app has potential, and I expected more. I want to continue to use it, but I want it to improve if I’m to continue with it for a long time. **Developer response:** Hello there! Once your comment is approved by LEGO moderators you will see it under the post. 😉 Regards, Lisa ### 3/5 — Love it but the moderating… *2023-01-17, version 2023.1* Love this app very fun to post my content but also the moderating is my biggest issue I know it’s a app for kids but some of my post get rejected for rediculus reasons like I posted a tie bomber review (it took awhile to right it) but I come back later to discover it’s been rejected because it was violent and my scene showed only everything that I got in the set nothing violent here. But then I made a photo as a joke of the mandalorian standing behind thee decapitated rebel body’s and there was even blood and guess what they allowed it……. Just why and even earlier today I posted me and my tie bomber box saying in all capitals “it’s here” and they rejected it because they didn’t understand it so they thought it was a different language so it’s very anoying to the point people beg there post to be sent through in there description. I really like this app but sadly there are some problems. First: Reporting. Some people who are jealous or just wanna be mean go and abuse the report feature. This feature is for reporting posts that have something in them the moderators didn’t catch. Lots of people have left and it’s getting out of hand. I mean, no one wants their posts to be reported just because the reporter is jealous of a lego set they have. Second: Moderation. The moderation system stinks. I get your trying to block out posts that may be inappropriate for little kids or have personal information in them but it’s taken too far. I’ve tried to post posts with lego in them and they don’t get approved. And sometimes they just don’t get approved because the photo may be dark. I have known lots of awesome people on this app who left because of being terrorized by reporters or their posts not getting approved. Otherwise this app is very fun. I would definitely suggest getting it. I also have an idea for an update. What if you could edit posts you already posted? Like if you made a spelling mistake. That’s all I have. This app is great! I had amazing friends, role plays that immersed me into many new things for me, and due to scarlet, get me into to art. Four years later, I find this app once more when I’m in a state of sadness and boredom. I didn’t know what to do anymore, so I made a new account and started again. I met more new faces and found some old ones along the way. I connected to people and found people that respected and supported me, and I really needed that. I mean, this app freaking changed me, in art and as a person. I will admit that this app had MANY problems, with moderation and the broken trending page. Then, on July 1st, it was announced that Lego Life would be closing, forever. And that kinda hurt me and everyone on this app a lot. Out of all the apps I’ve tried (that’s A LOT of apps) LEGO Life is in my top 3 favorites. Me and my friend (NoisyOnion014) wanted to make stop-motion with our LEGOs so we found this app! When we tested it we were a bit disappointed that you couldn’t do stop-motion. He ended up deleting LEGO Life but I saw lots of potential in the app. Thanks to the new update there are GIF’s! That is good for me! Unfortunately my friend never posted again, but I LOVE this app. I’ve made friends (to name a few: BRS, RythmicCookie, LN29, MWL). I wasn’t expecting likes, but some of my posts made it up to 500 likes! I wouldn’t call myself popular on the app, but I like to think that I’m well known even though I started LEGO Life in January. I really like it how this app is full of other LEGO Lovers and Ninjago lovers like me. The only problem is reporters. Some people report for no reason. It gets frustrating.
