### 3/5 — Not the best choice

*2023-11-12, version 3.3.4*

Doesn’t support Split View on iPad, not sure if importing documents is an option but I haven’t been able to find an option for that, app can get laggy especially when erasing, too many pop ups, Quality of image importing is very poor.

Also if you’re looking for a free to use app, beware that all your whiteboard will be on view only after a few weeks after the free trial ends.

The unlimited space and file sorting system is nice.

### 4/5 — Really nice, but could use some enhancements

*2022-10-16, version 3.1.0*

I really like this. I’ve been looking for an app to easily create and edit schematics for off-grid solar and battery installations. I’ve been using “Graphic” which has a lot of really great features, but it doesn’t allow for dynamic connections between elements which is where Lekh really shines for me. I’d really love to see some improvements to the UI though: • Keyboard shortcut support, for undo, redo, delete, cut, copy, paste, arrow nudging of elements etc. • Better non-keyboard support of cut, copy, paste, undo redo etc. • An option to have the connection lines go all the way up to the elements they’re connecting, instead of leaving a small gap. • Option to have lines automatically make a little curved bridge when the cross would be amazing to show that the lines are crossing rather than touching (important for electrical diagram). • A way to merge items into one. Could be a layer system, or a menu command to join elements together. • A way to paste graphcis from the system clipboard, rather than having to import from photos each time. • Ability to label/annotate pasted photos/graphics in the same way that you can with the normal shapes. - the way that the “Graphic” app deals with this is really nice. / / / Overall I really like this and it does what I want, but it’s a bit clunky especially without the keyboard support. I’d be happy to pay a reasonable one off fee for this, and every now and then for major updates too. I would not be happy if you adopt a subscription model. 😕 I’d love to hear back from developers with your thoughts?

### 3/5 — Great until started crashing.

*2020-05-28, version 2.2.6*

Nice program, got paid version. Soon started crashing. Lost saved diagrams, hours of work. Not trustable. Otherwise would be a great app.

### 4/5 — Some Issues

*2020-05-16, version 2.2.6*

I use this mainly to create wireframes for documentation. While on the whole it is a good application there are some annoying issues were the text gets messed up on the page. There does not seem to be any fix apart from restarting the application - I don’t seem to loose anything thankfully. So far this has worked well enough with the IPad Magic Keyboard to become a fixture in my workflow replacing an older application. Being able to arrange the pages into a directory structure would be helpful, or integration to iOS files.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2019-09-22, version 2.2.6*

Helped me with my project in a pinch. Amazing app.

### 5/5 — Easy to use for quick diagramming

*2019-03-13, version 2.2.5*

Nice simple app to organise your thoughts. I also thought the help was clear and useful, and within few minutes I was using it to solve my problem. Sometimes it is not as smooth as it should be but I am sure that can be improved.

### 5/5 — Increase the default zoom

*2018-09-26, version 2.2.5*

Simple and useful app. Please increase default zoom of a new diagram to fill entire canvas on ipad.

### 5/5 — Thank You

*2017-11-28, version 2.2.3*

This helped me create exactly what I needed. It’s not hard to use, It works fine, it looks good. Does the job right.

### 4/5 — Pretty decent

*2017-11-05, version 2.2.3*

I would love to have a basic electrical symbol library. Like contacts, relays, switches etc. This could be another in app purchase :-)

### 3/5 — Needs more instructions

*2017-05-01, version 2.2.3*

This is a cool app. It's a shame there's no "help" option though. Btw to add text double tap the screen. Couldn't figure out how to add colour or textures unfortunately.

### 5/5 — Excellent performance, and Great value

*2017-01-03, version 2.2.1*

Updated Review:
Having experimented a little more, I have to mention that the text handling appears rather flakey: It is possible to re-size, and edit the content of, existing 'text in a box', but it does not appear possible to change its colour. .. 'floating text' however, can be re-coloured [!]

I am keeping with my 5* review, because the App has such great potential; but would request that the Authors improve the text-handling as a matter of some urgency.

Original Review:
For those like me, who once used expensive templates and Rotring pens to draw charts and diagrams; this App is a revelation.
Yes, it's been possible to do this on computer for decades now ... But this is an iPad App, and works beautifully !!
Those that whine about the price should really stop and think for a moment: It's free to try and cheap to buy.
.
On brief acquaintance; I have only one feature request ... please add the facility to change the paper size.

### 5/5 — Excellent for network diags

*2016-07-04, version 2.1*

This tool is just about perfect for creating network diagrams on the fly. It would be even better if you could add in your own objects or if it had a few generic network icons in it. Very well done. Bravo!

### 5/5 — Awesome tool

*2016-03-26, version 2.1*

It is one of best tools. I use it frequently for work and university lectures. I actually bought the iPad just to run this application - not sure why it is marked so low - haven't seen anything better on the market.

### 4/5 — Does a good job

*2016-01-26, version 2.1*

Like this very much. Relatively intuitive.
I needed to draw a simple wiring diagram and I was build some custom shapes

Just missing a couple of minor features - hence 4 stars
1. Ability to copy custom shapes (group) between drawings - or save them in the library.
2. Further share option to email with Gmail.

I hope these things will follow.

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2016-01-11, version 2.1*

Such a good app. It has made taking notes in lectures so so much easier. I do engineering, so there are often a lot of diagrams. In fact, the diagrams were the one thing which stopped me from completely digitising my notes, but now it might be possible. I use notability for note taking and from now on I shall be using Lekh Diagram for my flow charts and diagrams. Keep up the great work, developers. Maybe add in some support for graph sketching and features such as auto joining lines and auto aligning centre of shapes

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app is terrible

*2024-03-07, version 3.4.7*

The UI for the app is awful. It's borderline unusable. you can;'t even adjust the size of text boxes efficiently. Text disapears, and reappears, you can't see half of the stuff you've typed. Don't bother downloading.

### 1/5 — Fails at its most valuable feature

*2019-03-21, version 2.2.5*

Draw a rectangle in two strokes? You get a straight line a d a curve , making a P shape. Draw circle with the tiniest bit of overlap, no circle recognition for you. You get a peach. Tedious.

### 1/5 — I'm going to try and be kind

*2014-01-21, version 2.0*

This is not a good app. It does not draw lines the way you want, you cannot place objects for text where you want. I used a stylus and still couldn't make it work. It randomly changes size and scale if you breathe wrong. You have to pay $2.99 for the privilege if exporting it. But after 3 hours if fiddling around trying to create something, I have ZERO to show for my effort. I should have just burned 3 $1.00 bills.

### 1/5 — crap

*2013-02-26, version 1.0.1*

crap

### 2/5 — Can't recommend because of notifications

*2023-12-11, version 3.4.1*

It is a great app, very intuitive and easy to use. It has a great UI and I really wish I could keep using it. But the notifications make it unbearable. All I want is an app that allows me to design some things offline and this app does that. HOWEVER, everytime you open or one of your diagrams, it will prompt you over and over that you can only create 5 diagrams offline and you need to upgrade to the online edition to get around this. Everytime I open the app or a diagram, I have to clear 5 notifications stacked on top of each other just to use it. I appreciate the notification, but could please make it so once the user dismisses it, it stays gone!!! I would love to use this app again in the future!

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2018-12-04, version 2.2.5*

It’s exactly design as what I desperately need. But apparently it can do better.

### 2/5 — Dropbox linking is flakey

*2017-11-23, version 2.2.3*

Says it links, but can’t get file list for import. Can’t save either. App directory shows up in my Dropbox a day after I delete the app. I want to like it, but without Dropbox support it isn’t much good to me.

### 2/5 — Shows promise but needs better support

*2016-01-05, version 2.1*

The shape recognition capability is fabulous. But the in app instructions are sadly lacking. The website and Blog are useless and the video Tutorials on YouTube have no explanation for drawing being done onscreen.

Please update this app!

### 2/5 — Not worth

*2014-06-27, version 2.0*

It can draw (not well) and it does shapes (not well) and you have to pay to export flowcharts. Handy if you need to make a quick one on the fly, otherwise there are much better options.

### 2/5 — Cannot print or export

*2013-01-17, version 1.0.1*

This app admits export limitations - which is stretching the truth!
Having built my flow chart I could not do anything with it.

On principle, I expect honesty from app developers - don't advertise an app as free when in effect it is not.

So app deleted... I expect I will end up paying more for an app where I don't feel misled.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing Tool

*2026-07-02, version 3.5.2*

Fantastic for designers. Can make professional sketches with the smart snap tool, and make fine adjustments to anything you’ve drawn. If is doesn’t already have a shape in the library, you can draw and save your own versions, fantastic for niche applications. The export engine is powerful, allowing you export however you need. I’ve used this to create professional sketches for patent designs, tactical images and everything in between.

### 5/5 — Everything you need

*2026-06-10, version 3.5.1*

Extremely easy to use and very good design. Arrows are easy to align, easy to create boxes and move them around, really the only app I have found that you can create good flowcharts on

### 5/5 — Simplicty at its finest

*2025-12-29, version 3.5.1*

It doesn’t require an engineering or math degree to figure out how to use this- which is perfect for me because I wanted to create home network and various diagrams and now can do that easily. It would be nice if they had a few more icons- but otherwise a great find! Love the syncing.

### 5/5 — Useful tools for mind map

*2023-09-18, version 3.2.5*

Design Ingenuity，Simple and beautiful

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-01-28, version 2.3.6*

Simple but great app.

### 5/5 — Excellent for my home network.

*2022-01-12, version 2.3.6*

I was looking for an app to help me map out my small home network (about 35 hosts) and so didn't want something with a subscription as I'm only going to update things very infrequently.

I was blown away by how well this app works.

After a quick scan of the help page, I quickly drew a map of my network. Everything works logically. I did not experience any bugs or glitches. Everything just worked.

### 5/5 — Amazing diagramming app!

*2022-01-03, version 2.3.6*

This diagramming tool is very easy to learn and lets you create impressive diagrams with a minimum of effort. I’ve paid 20 times as much for diagramming software that doesn’t do twice as much as this one does. This app deserves more stars!

If you need to make a diagram of your network or a UI layout, get this!

### 5/5 — very helpful

*2021-11-23, version 2.3.6*

It is a very functional app for making diagrams. Apart from some struggles with re-routing connections (just delete and put a new one in) and text changes (sizing, select all text etc.), I would recommend this app to everybody who needs diagram drawing capacity with a good level of automation and intuitive interface. The help function is simple, effective and easy to access.

### 5/5 — Wow. This is an amazing find

*2020-05-23, version 2.2.6*

This is an extremely well thought out App, the UI is very very good. Hats off to the developer, I paid for the Pro immediately

Just hope the app keeps getting developed, its got a lot of potential to get even better.

It’s got so many nice touches, as I explore more I will come back and edit the review

EDIT:

As you add a line next to an edge of the paper background it just automatically expands, amazing.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2020-04-16, version 2.2.6*

It takes a little while to get used to, but the help screen is great.

I used it to make an auto wiring diagram. I couldn’t find anything else that would do this. It’s still not the ideal program to make a wiring diagram, but with a little more work by the developer, it would be fantastic for this. I look forward to updates!
