### 2/5 — Be careful with upgrades!!!

*2025-08-09, version 2.3*

We spent days of frustration and hours on the phone recovering from a suggested upgrade to the app. If the version you have works for you DON’T UPGRADE!!! If you do, you will be an unpaid Beta tester with little company support.

Just use the thing on the wall; how lazy are you?

### 3/5 — OK

*2024-05-12, version 2.3*

Works pretty well for changing the temperature or fan setting.
Mostly *doesn’t* work for changing between programs (winter to summer). It will often show the program changed in the app but is not set on the thermostat.

### 1/5 — Simply Does Not Work

*2024-05-10, version 2.3*

We had to resort to only using the Web-based interface. The app does not even allow us to log in. A Lennox tech came to the house (at significant expense) to help and finally said it was impossible to get this app to work. And I note it hadn't been updated in over a year. Not a good look for Lennox.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2024-04-29, version 2.3*

All I get is a white screen. It doesn’t work at all.

### 1/5 — Blank screen

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

This app worked fine until 2 days ago when it now displays a blank screen.

### 1/5 — HELP

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

This app stopped working on 4/27/24.

It’s just a white screen when I launch it.

Please help!

### 1/5 — App won’t open

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

Even after uninstall and reinstall.

### 1/5 — White Screen

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

The app is no longer working. Just blank white screen on my iPhone. Deleted the app and reinstalled twice. Still blank. Only way to adjust HVAC now is at the thermostat.

### 1/5 — App issue

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

Unable to connect to the thermostat from my iPhone. When I select the app, a blank page comes up this started within the last 48 hours.

### 1/5 — Stopped Working

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

App no longer works and my thermostat can not use the other Lennox apps. Such a disappointment. I will remember how they completely disregard customers without making their new technology backward compatible.

### 1/5 — App has decided to go blank

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

…just when I thought this app couldn’t get any worse, it’s suddenly just a blank white screen.

### 1/5 — App is blank

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

When I open the app, the screen is white. No app is present. Unable to reach support for app. Website certificate has also expired.

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2024-04-28, version 2.3*

As of 4/27/24 the app stopped working on both my iPhone and iPad. Clicking on the app icon to open it results in opening a white screen. That’s it, nothing else. I’ve used this app daily for several years now, at bedtime and then again in the morning, to adjust the thermostat. Now it doesn’t even open properly. Please fix this.

### 1/5 — Worst UI ever

*2024-01-21, version 2.3*

Its perplexing to me that a Company that can develop and manufacture reasonably high quality products cannot offer a web or mobile app experience that’s even remotely current. The UI is circa late 90s. This will put Lennox out of business as the poor UI tolerance threshold for new consumers is very low. Hire a front end developer and UI designer pronto.

### 1/5 — Useless and flaky

*2023-11-08, version 2.3*

It doesn't do anything useful and it won't stay on the network. It spontaneously changes passwords and that is troubling.

### 1/5 — Offline

*2023-10-20, version 2.3*

Repeatedly shows “offline”. Used to work well. Not anymore.

### 1/5 — I’d give it zero stars if possible

*2023-08-28, version 2.3*

This app is flaming hot garbage wrapped in a dirty diaper. I will NEVER put another Lenox product in my home because their “new” technology was new in 2007. The UI reminds me of the early iPhone apps that only do one or two things like the flashlight app. Please do your homework before putting their products in your home.

### 1/5 — Unable to even login on iOS 16

*2023-08-02, version 2.3*

This app won’t let me login with the credentials I just created during registration of the product. Based on similar reviews, it would seem that this app is completely useless and 2023.

### 3/5 — Good but room for improvement

*2023-07-15*

Super convenient when it stays connected to wifi. Problem is if it drops it won’t reconnect automatically. Would be good to be able to actually edit the seasonal programs from the app. The MOST annoying is the logout button is positioned exactly where you swipe to close the app so I constantly sign out by accident rather than just temporarily close the app. Having to re-sign-in is a pain!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Server frequently offline

*2025-06-22, version 2.3*

Terrible reliability; advise to choose a different product; this app is a big lemon

### 1/5 — Unreliable half the time

*2025-04-30, version 2.3*

This app is simple to use and great when the servers are not down. I would say the servers are down at least 3 out of 7 days a week. I sure wish someone could keep then running so it’s more reliable. If they could do that this would make a huge difference for all of the users out there that have the iComfort thermostat.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-04-05, version 2.3*

Very inconsistent performance. This app is not reliable and shuts down very often.

### 1/5 — Blank screen

*2025-02-22, version 2.3*

All you see is blank screen when opening on iPad

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2025-01-23, version 2.3*

Nice work Lennox. Server connection has been down for days making this app, thermostat, and entire system worthless. I will never buy another Lennox system.

Updated Jan 2025, servers down again!

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2024-12-14, version 2.3*

This app constantly freezes, won't open and often is unable to connect to the Lennox control center.

### 1/5 — Poor performance

*2024-12-14, version 2.3*

Since beginning this has not worked will repeated connection failure needing resets. Expensive compare to other more functional generic programmable wifi Thermostat. Very pleasant customer service but limited hours of work to contact.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2024-11-28, version 2.3*

App is the epitome of Lennox’s disgust for their own customers. It’s shameful.

### 1/5 — App and thermostat working intermittently

*2024-09-02, version 2.3*

For the past week the thermostat has been showing WiFi offline for the past week at least daily, then this app doesn’t work, at the moment it’s not working. Under the connection status it shows router working, internet working, server has a red X.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2024-06-15, version 2.3*

I’ve had this app for about three years. It has been glitchy all along, but recently I’ve had issues where it disconnects and will not allow me to control my thermostat. I am stuck using this app as a bandaid because my thermostat died…and replacing the thermostat is $1400+… Lennox has made it so that Lennox only talks to Lennox. Would not recommend. Please fix the app, so that it is not disconnecting all the time. When the app doesn’t work, I have no way to control my heat or air.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The app isn’t working

*2022-04-28, version 2.1*

The app isn’t working

### 5/5 — I have owned and used 5 years+

*2021-01-16*

I have had my moments. I’ve gone from ready to pull it and my hair out to pure satisfaction. It’s been like raising a child. (A sick child sometimes.)
#1 frustration: Lennox support does not have any idea about what is going on. The app has gone through a couple of updates. When doing so it has quit working completely. When eventually reaching Lennox support they had no idea as to what was happening. They are so clueless as to not even knowing they had such a product. I’ve never had any satisfaction from Lennox or their dealers.
#1 solution: WAIT and you may wait a very long time. I’m talking months. It has always eventually worked out the issues.
#2 frustration: Every update seems to have removed some features. In the beginning I recall I could adjust its temperature with the time of day. This feature no longer exists. I miss it.
I’m building a new home so I have been researching other manufacturers Wi-Fi Thermostats. It appears that few owners are happy with their devices.
Thinking back to business school I think I know what is going on. These little ad on features generate no revenue for the company. It’s a free-ish feature. It’s probably contracted out to a cheap foreign developer. You get what you get but it’s still evolving. Patience has no fans.
As of this writing it’s working great!

### 5/5 — Great system

*2018-08-12, version 1.2*

The app is simple. The notifications are great as they let me know if something is wrong. For all of you who like the nest (and other “smart stats” avoid those. They do not communicate the way the icomfort does with the furnace. Those other “smart stats” are bogus. They do not do what this stat/ app does. They trick the furnace as well as yourself. Stick with the i comfort

### 4/5 — It works

*2024-05-13*

I’m using the iComfort app because our thermostat has died. Is this app a direct replacement for the thermostat? No, it’s not. But it works and allows us to control the temperature in our home. Unfortunately, Lennox doesn’t want you to have full functionality in an app. They would rather you purchase a new thermostat! The app is a temporary fix until you buy a new thermostat. And it does what it is supposed to do: Turn your system on and turn your system off. Eventually, we will purchase a replacement thermostat. Until then, the app is fine.

### 4/5 — No problems

*2022-12-23*

Would like to see the app display outside temperature.

### 4/5 — Programs

*2021-05-25*

The app should include functionality to edit existing programs (winter, summer etc.). Currently you can only do this on the thermostat.

### 4/5 — Latest update fixed the not cooling or cooling

*2020-10-24*

They fixed it finally. Now it tells you what It is doing.
They didn’t initially explain it but when it turns blue that means it is cooling and when it is wide is not doing anything and when it’s read it is heating.
It is also now says if it’s cooling or not it tells you what is doing and also the humidity.
Thank you for listening to the reviews keep up the good work thank you

### 4/5 — Don’t know when system running

*2020-09-29*

Like the other reviewers I did’t know that the color change indicates when the system is running. Should state this in the app window. Besides this I like the enhancements added. An issue I found is it can take many minutes until temperature change made in app actually happens at thermostat. Perhaps the developer can improve this.

### 4/5 — It’s an improvement

*2020-07-28*

I have to admit that until I read the response to one of Other reviews I was going to give the app a poor review. I couldn’t believe the system status was gone. Apparently it’s not... it’s there but not obvious. I’ll chaulk that off to poor communication... something we’re all quilty of from time to time.
Anyway...I like the new format. It’s simple and unambiguous. What’s most impressive is the performance. Its tremendously better than before. That alone makes it ok for me.
As for the system status bringing indicated by the color of the temperature... clever but not readily apparent. But, before we criticize this developer... Apple does this all the time with their products. After many years of using an iPhone I just found out that to undo a deletion in Notes you shake the phone! Who knew? Regardless, the color thing is not earth shattering.. give the developer a break

### 4/5 — Works well

*2020-07-15, version 2.0*

Faster response. Easy to control system.
