## What is Lens AI?

Point your camera at the world around you — or pick a photo from your library — and quickly understand what’s in it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Extract text from photos. Recognize printed text, then copy it, share it, or have it read aloud.
- Translate short text. Convert common words and short phrases from French, Spanish, German and Italian into English, shown right over your photo.
- Recognize what’s in a picture. See likely matches with a confidence score, processed on your device.
- Scan QR codes and barcodes, and open links in a single tap.
- Solve math, step by step. Capture an arithmetic expression or a simple linear equation and follow a clear, worked-out solution.
- Get quick facts about plants, animals and places from a likely match.
- Ask the built-in assistant. Have a question about your photo? Ask in plain language and get a helpful answer.
- Keep your history. Recent scans are saved privately on your device so you can find them later.

A clean, fast interface with smooth animations and haptic feedback. No account and no sign-up — just open and scan. Use the live camera on your device, or import any photo to try every feature.

PRIVACY
Text recognition, translation, code scanning and on-device recognition happen locally on your device. When you choose to ask the built-in assistant, the selected photo and related text are sent to our AI provider only to generate that answer. Your scan history stays on your device.

Please note: recognition and identification provide likely matches and may not always be exact, and the assistant can make mistakes — double-check anything important.

Subscription Information:
