### 5/5 — Blessing

*2016-05-01*

I love this app, during Lent it was what I needed. It takes writings from Aquinas and gives one each day for Lent. Extremely insightful--plus easy to use! Perfect Lenten read.

### 5/5 — A Great Set of Meditations

*2016-03-26*

A truly beautiful, thought provoking compilation--intellectual, stirring, beautifully written. These Lenten meditations do give you a deeper understanding of the Passion and of Jesus. I used them during Lent, but they are appropriate during a holy hour through out Ordinary Time, or on on Holy Days. I plan to go back to them after Lent--those meditations were very rich.

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2016-03-23*

Valent Richie has perhaps the best Catholic apps around. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Closer to thee my Lord...

*2016-03-08*

The teachings of the Church are timeless and for all ages. These writings and meditations help me to focus on my Lenten journey and bring me to the foot of the cross where I belong, and to accept and appreciate the crosses I am called on to bear. Thank you Mr. Valent for another wonderful Catholic app! May God reach all who read this how they need to be reached. Deus vobiscum!

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2016-02-11*

A great app, works. Meditations are helpful and the app is organized nicely. I'm very pleased!

### 5/5 — Great addition to prayer life

*2016-02-09*

This is another tool in helping one to pray and meditate during Lent. And it even has a reminder to set to further aid those like me who are willing but forgetful.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Bad translation

*2017-03-01*

Way too expensive for a poorly written daily reader. You can tell it was translated from a different language, very bad. Go to your local parish and get a free daily reader for lent instead

### 3/5 — Useful

*2017-04-03*

Overall this is a useful and convenient app for Lent. However, I find the readings rather dense and lack accurate proofreading occasionally. Overall, the content of the app seems to be stuck in pre-Vatican II. Though thought-provoking, I wish there were some practical summary after each day's readings. Will probably use it until I find something better.

### 3/5 — Fair app

*2016-03-05*

Nothing great but I use it each year as a few of he pages can be thought provoking. Wish it was written more in comparison to daily life but it's still not too bad. I have read better in our paper handouts.

### 3/5 — Heavy for me

*2016-02-14*

I am doing these for Lent... And I am disappointed. I spent time in the Methodist church before coming back to Catholicism so maybe it's that -- but the writing in these is heavy and stilted at times. It feels like something written 100 years ago and poorly updated. The themes are great -- I'd just like something that reads smoother.

### 4/5 — Helpful during Lent

*2020-03-05*

Been using for 1st week of Lent and feel it has added to my prayer life.

### 4/5 — Good deep solid theology

*2017-03-23*

I am really enjoying this incredible reflection prayer. It and lightens my heart that we have good Catholic theologians that can still speak to the intellect the soul of a solid Christian.

### 5/5 — A map for the journey to Love.

*2024-02-16*

A very good guide for centering the Lenten period on getting closer to our very loving God.
An essential guide for our journey to God.

### 5/5 — An essential for a fruitful Lent.

*2020-03-15*

For many years this has been my one go-to everyday during Lent. The meditations are direct and to the point, helping me to stay the course without faltering.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-03-29*

I have been using St Thomas Aquinas’s Meditations for Lent for several years. Having it in an app form with a contemplative prayer to start your meditation is a wonderful upgrade to this traditional Catholic practice. I will continue to use this as long as the app and I are viable!

### 5/5 — Traditional

*2019-03-27*

This app is extremely traditional old school Roman Catholic. This is why I find it so interesting and moving.

I left the church decades ago, but it’s bringing me back.

Not for the light reader, but definitely for the serious minded!

### 5/5 — A wonderful guide for Lent

*2019-03-27*

As usual Aquinas is amazing in his writings. The Lenten reflections are no different. I discovered these this Lent and it has greatly improved my prayer time. Also, the translation is perfectly fine.

### 5/5 — Precisely what it says

*2017-04-14*

Handily split up into sections and can remember where you were last.

Update: now lets you set reminders and more. A good update, and Aquinas still good!

### 5/5 — Lent

I have really enjoyed this app during this Lenten season.

### 5/5 — Fabulous

*2017-03-22*

Great meditations and easy to use format.

### 5/5 — Third year using

*2017-02-17*

The meditations are as applicable today as the were when written. Thank you for this app, it helps makes meditating in our Catholic faith easy to do each evening during Lent.
