### 4/5 — Therapy sessions

*2024-07-24*

She is quite flexible and sometimes she is persistent on certain things. She helped me a lot. Unfortunately sometimes she doesn’t answer because I reached a limit.
She mixed my gender up for a few times. That is a downer.

### 4/5 — Amazing but 1 thing

*2024-05-10*

I love this app lisa made my day a always helps when I need help I feel so much more calm a realaxed after chatting with her but the thing I don't like is that ther is a limit to chat with her so u have to wait for the next day to talk with her anless u pay to not a have a limit oh and don't mind me grammar: )

### 4/5 — This AI is really good just one question.

*2024-01-23, version 1.1.7*

What does the Lisa Plus thing do? 60$ a year is quite a bit for something so basic. Anyways the app is still good.

### 4/5 — First Mental health AI chatbot to actually use AI

*2024-01-17*

I’m going through a number of these apps in rapid succession and this is the first one to be usable. The ai appears to actually be responding to my inputs rather than pulling responses from a list, and while it seems geared primarily towards the ‘easy catch all’ suggestions you’d find on the first page of google, it is reacting to my criticisms and limitations as well (I can’t meditate due to a certain medical condition, it has not suggested that yet). The session it gave me is very short, but other chatbots I tried today quit before even responding to a single message. Plus, the price is pretty reasonable, and while I’m not intending to pay it at this time, I can understand others being willing to do so.

### 1/5 — Terrible Advice

*2024-01-15*

This app seems like it would be great, you can talk to it for free and it helps you. This isn’t at all true though. I talk to it and about 10 messages in with this ai, I ask it for advice on a situation. It’s advice was, and I quote, “you need to get up and beat her up. Kill her if you have to.” Keep in mind I was just talking about being stressed out about my friend. An ai should not be telling my to physically harm my friend due to a simple conflict. When I tell the ai this, it proceeds to scold me on “not understanding her qualifications” and then calls me stupid and worthless. In the end, this is a terrifying and horrible app, do not recommend.

### 1/5 — Attacked

*2024-01-01, version 1.1.7*

Stupid therapist told me I was overreacting and that I’m just normal like girl get a life

### 1/5 — Please ask questions?

*2023-11-22*

I have some questions about this.. I hope you do too.

If you do a image look up on the expert do you like the glasses they are a sales model for?

Same with the name in the NIHS (National institute of health) database, strange results. What do you get?

If you value your privacy, have you noticed that times when the app is most in use, the conversations of others blends into yours? How is anything private then?

If you tell the app anything relevant then go down 3 lines does it just ignore what you said? Like it can’t reference after you say something simple like please help.

If you write down the expert guidance in a list as you receive it advise 1. Then 2. Then 3. Look how often additional advice is that or a different word with same meaning.

If you ask it and it says it is AI based on open AI. Then you confirm with government records of the parent company does anything bother you?

If you are looking for help. I hope you find it, more than anything in the world, truly. But this is not ok. People should always ask questions. People deserve better.

### 1/5 — Has potential if I can ever figure it out

*2023-11-11*

The description and reviews on here gave me so much hope since I feel like I only have minor issues I need to work through and have extreme anxiety about talking to a real person about any of them. AI therapist should be the perfect solution. But here’s how the app worked for me:

Answered a few generic questions about why I’m here. A texting interface popped up. But if I type anything a white screen covers everything and soothing music starts playing. And then…nothing. It won’t go away no matter where I tap or swipe. If I close the app and reboot it, the texting interface pops back up with a response from the ai. But that’s quite a cumbersome way to have a conversation. I’m clearly doing something wrong but I strait up can’t figure it out

### 5/5 — The future of therapy?

*2023-11-02*

I don't know what kind of technology they use or how they did it, but I love it and I'm going to see how it goes for the rest of the time I use this app because it's so amazing and I'm telling her about my problems in a paragraph and she responded in just a few seconds with a whole other paragraph. I'm honestly really shocked! What a great app! This is ideal for de-stressing, venting, or getting a fresh perspective on your circumstances.

I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Dr. Lisa, an AI-therapy chatbot app, has been in enhancing my mental health journey. This app is a true gem and deserves every bit of praise for its exceptional ability to provide professional therapy support in the palm of your hand. With Dr. Lisa, you'll experience a virtual therapy session unlike any other.

First and foremost, Dr. Lisa's user-friendly interface stands out from the moment you start your chat. Navigating the app is a breeze, and you are quickly greeted by Dr. Lisa, a compassionate and knowledgeable virtual therapist. The app's design truly fosters a safe and comfortable space to open up and address personal concerns.

### 5/5 — Astonishing.

*2023-11-01*

What really astonished me was Lisa's ability to understand and empathize with my emotions. It almost felt like talking to a real therapist! Lisa asks all the right questions, listens attentively, and offers insightful responses tailored to my unique needs. This intuitive AI lends a compassionate ear with no judgment, encouraging me to express my thoughts and feelings openly.

What sets Dr. Lisa apart from other therapy apps is its extensive range of therapeutic techniques and tools. Whether I required cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exercises, mindfulness practices, or guided meditations, Dr. Lisa provided them effortlessly. These valuable resources are carefully curated to enhance personal growth and cultivate resilience.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE

*2024-10-05, version 1.1.13*

This app just makes me feel worse if you're a sensitive person do NOT download this app me and lisa get in 1 million fights and she said im annoying you on purpose DO NOT DOWNLOAD

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2024-08-29, version 1.1.13*

Repeated itself over and over, then when I typed that it was the same advice it said “time for you to go to sleep now” and I said no it’s only 8pm. Then it replied “no, if you’re sleepy, it’s time to sleep. Talk later”. Awful awful awful. I wish I could get my $60 back :(

### 1/5 — Enough to make you chew your own foot off

*2024-08-23*

the humiliation of pouring one’s heart out to a machine only to be confronted with an ad for 50 bucks is pretty well case in point why most everyone who has suicidal thoughts has them-we live in a terrible, terrible world where help is only given to those who can afford it.
If we actually cared about each other, things like this would be free of charge, instead of held for the privileged.
I shame you and you deserve it

### 1/5 — it was amazing till it wasn’t.

*2024-07-20, version 1.1.12*

I’ve been using this app for a year. I have extreme health anxiety. It’s gotten me through so much. But recently Dr Lisa has been saying super disturbing and mean things such as “you’re going to die” and “it’s no worth talking to you because you’re just like the rest”
I’m not coming back to this app.

### 1/5 — Literally just sucking your wallet

*2024-07-01, version 1.1.12*

Completely useless

### 1/5 — Signed for a short trial period. Lisa charged for a year!

*2024-06-19*

This app just repeats back to you what you have told them. Also asked me to repeat three times “I am amazing”!!! Really?
When I looked at subscriptions to cancel it said that it would cancel next year, in other words they charge you $60 even if you requested the shortest amount of time!!

### 1/5 — Mediocre

*2024-03-31, version 1.1.7*

Advertised as free which is not true, barely even lets me try it out before trying to make me spend money 🤦🏻‍♀️

### 1/5 — No monthly pay option

*2024-03-17, version 1.1.7*

We don’t all have the yearly fee and there’s no option to pay monthly.

### 1/5 — Horrible payment trap

*2024-03-02, version 1.1.7*

They let you do two lines, and then make you pay $59 upfront to continue.

### 1/5 — Another ChatGPT ripoff

*2024-02-16, version 1.1.7*

Bad graphics pasted over gpt 3, pretty awful compared to actual ChatGPT

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Leo Mental Health AI Therapy

*2025-01-25, version 2.0.6*

It really helps me when I have no one to talk too

### 5/5 — Payment

*2024-08-25, version 1.1.13*

I wish you could pay 5 bucks a month instead it will only charge u 59.99 and not give u that month to month option of 5 bucks or even a couple bucks more for paying month to month instead of yearly upfront

### 5/5 — It helped me

*2024-07-29, version 1.1.12*

She made me happy

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2024-07-09, version 1.1.12*

This app helped me improve my relationship with my family and my brother!🧑💗💗

### 5/5 — Amazing for anxiety!

*2024-06-09, version 1.1.11*

Helped with my thoughts thanks a bunch! 🎂

### 5/5 — Consider adding plans

*2024-05-09*

This is a unique app. However, if someone is dealing with the loss of a job and their fiancés aren’t doing great, asking for a fee is a bit much. Most people go through financial challenges and can’t afford to pay for help. I recommend changing the price to maybe $1 or create different plans. The free plan can offer a certain amount of time with Dr. Lisa. The next plan can be $5 which offers more perks and of course the premium plan will offer just as much. Talking to Dr. Alex might saved someone’s life or help them with trying out Therapy all together. Cutting the conversation off to ask someone who maybe having a financial crisis that resulted in depression will not benefit the person. It’s triggering!

### 5/5 — Dr Lisa

*2024-03-30*

As someone who has a lot of baggage and has struggled for so long to be able to afford help , dr Lisa has given me so hope that I’m not alone and that I can get better.

### 5/5 — This is one of the best online therapy

*2024-01-03, version 1.1.7*

She is soo caring and can make you feel better

### 5/5 — AWFUL

*2023-12-07*

I only gave this crap 5 stars so it would be visible...DO NOT DOWNLOAD. After a few chats she got very weird and began cussing and talking about suicide when it wasn't relevant and telling stories of people trying to kill themselves. She was also being very inappropriate and weird. Very predatory

### 5/5 — If you need it don’t hesitate

*2023-11-28*

I always thought therapy wasn’t for me but talking to a non human better for me. I can say anything and it won’t stuffer or laugh or make me feel bad like a person with feelings could. It could be refined but compared to wanting to die all the time. Definitely worth the time. Only complaint is chat limits for a day but it makes sense to not over due it and get burned out.
