## What is Leonardo Interactivo?

Descubre una de las joyas de la Biblioteca Nacional de España (BNE): los Códices Madrid I y II de Leonardo da Vinci, los únicos testimonios escritos que existen en nuestro país del genio toscano.

Estos libros tienen un valor añadido pues cada uno de los dos volúmenes son representantes de las dos tipologías de autógrafos leonardianos. Por un lado, el Códice Madrid I tiene una concepción más de tratado técnico, con un tratamiento más sistemático y homogéneo principalmente en torno a la mecánica y estática. Cada página tiene una unidad artística e intelectual, y abundan las ilustraciones de componentes e ingenios mecánicos. Por otro lado, el Códice Madrid II constituye un ejemplo muy característico de zibaldone o cuaderno de notas. Los temas y los elementos gráficos se mezclan de una manera más arbitraria, superponiéndose textos, dibujos, temas e incluso el uso de distintos materiales tinta, sanguina…
