## What is LessonLedger?

LessonLedger is the easy but powerful bookkeeper for independent teachers. If you teach piano, tennis, math, or anything one student at a time, it keeps the part you'd rather not think about — who came, who owes you, and how much — straight and current, without a spreadsheet.

TRACK WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS
- Add a student in seconds: name, rate, and a weekly schedule (one day or multiple days per week).
- Each lesson drops into "Needs Attention" when its time passes. One tap: Attended, Skipped, or Canceled.
- Balances update as you go. The home screen shows who's behind, and by how much.

BILL THE WAY YOU ALREADY WORK
- Charge per lesson, per week, or per month.
- Set your own rules for no-shows and late cancellations: full rate, a percentage, a flat fee, or nothing.
- Record payments with the method you actually use. Adjust a balance by hand when you need to reconcile.

FREE, AND USEFUL ON ITS OWN
- Free up to 8 students
- iCloud sync across your iPhone and iPad — automatic, no account, no setup
- A reminder before each lesson, birthday heads-ups, and a nudge to mark attendance
- A full backup you can export and keep anywhere

LessonLedger Pro adds even more!
- Unlimited students
- 9 reports — income over time, year-end tax summary, attendance and reliability, outstanding balances, revenue by student, payment-method mix, lesson volume, billing rates, student longevity
- One-page PDF invoices for a student or a whole household
- CSV export of any report, and CSV import to bring years of history in
- An Apple Watch app for quickly marking attendance and logging payments during or between lessons
- Household link — one payment and one invoice across siblings

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No analytics. No tracking. No ads. Nothing is uploaded to us. Your students' names, contact details, and payment history live on your device and in your own private iCloud, and leave only when you choose to export them.

Subscription Terms

LessonLedger Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually. Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings.

### 5/5 — Excellent!!

*2026-09-22*

This is a must-have app! Everything you need to track payments, lessons and important information for your students is in this app. The features are easy to navigate and the many reports it generates is my favorite feature.

### 5/5 — Simple, smart, and incredibly useful

*2026-09-22*

LessonLedger is a fantastic tool for independent teachers who want to spend less time managing the business side of their lessons and more time doing what they love.

It brings everything together in one simple, well-designed app — students, lesson schedules, attendance, payments, balances, invoices, and reminders — without making the process feel complicated or overwhelming.

What I really appreciate is how practical it is. LessonLedger solves a very real problem for teachers who may otherwise be trying to keep track of all of this with spreadsheets, notes, calendars, and a bunch of different tools.

Clean, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. If you teach independently and want an easier way to stay organized and keep track of your students and business, LessonLedger is definitely worth checking out.
