### 4/5 — On the page of okie Ito

*2021-03-25, version 1.12*

Why it said “he” instead of“she”？

### 4/5 — Fun quick reference

*2021-02-19, version 1.12*

I like reading quick references about Herstory. I would love to see Ruth Bader Ginsburg added and Jane Addams who is the mother of social work and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931.

### 4/5 — Amazing but glitchy

*2020-06-26*

I try to scroll down on the list of women but it just scrolls back up a little bit. And when I zoom in on the story because it is tiny, it moves where I don’t want it. If this could be fixed, I would be happy.

### 4/5 — One problem

*2020-06-16*

I love this app so very much it tells stories about wonderful women! But there are not enough women! I can think of Susan B Anthony, Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. These are very important people! These people started a movement for women and African Americans!

### 4/5 — Great app but needs fix

*2020-06-09, version 1.9*

Whenever I tap share Herstory the app closes.

### 4/5 — Amazing But Can’t Share

*2020-06-08*

This app and its idea is absolutely amazing!!! But the thing is, I can’t share it due to some stupid glitch! This really annoys me because I want to add it on my story on Instagram and share it with the world, but whenever I click the button, it makes me leave the app, the even more annoying part, is that I know that I probably I won’t get a response from the app’s developers because and this most likely won’t get fixed for a while.

### 4/5 — Awesome but has some bugs

*2020-06-07*

I really love this app! It is so inspiring! One note I have is that when I try to share the profiles, it crashes. Hopefully it can get fixed!

### 4/5 — Fix the "SHARE HERSTORY" button!

*2020-06-06*

I really love the app. I want to share herstories to my Instagram but the app completely crashes after I click the button. My friend is also seeing the same issue. iPhone SE (1st gen) running iOS 13.3.1.

### 4/5 — Need MORE examples...

*2019-11-27, version 1.9*

Great educational tool! Please add Henrietta Lacks and many other women of color &/or minority representation in this app! Love the concept of celebrating HERstory. Thanks!

### 4/5 — It’s great but please help me with one thing

*2019-08-06*

The app is gorgeous but I can’t figure out how to scan?..! Could you please make it clear so I can use this app properly?

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2019-04-17*

The app is good for information but most of the curriculum of schools doesn’t focus on women of the past. I believe that children should learn the same amount of women and men history. I like how you can search women and click on them to learn info. The app glitches sometimes but this can be easily fixed with updates for bugs

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — For white and black people only

*2022-02-03, version 1.12*

No Asian representation. Basically just reinforces that stereotype that white and black women are the ones making change for female empowerment and freedom.

### 1/5 — Oh!

*2021-01-27, version 1.12*

If I could give a minus star rating it would be - 5
Utter diversity crap.
What is Apple thinking of?
Don’t bother, just get on with your life.

### 1/5 — Sexist

*2020-08-26, version 1.10*

This app is too sexist - include everyone

### 1/5 — Shockingly bad

*2020-08-13, version 1.10*

Can’t believe Apple promoted this app. Avoid.

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2020-08-13, version 1.10*

You write a little paragraph about each individual featured in this app, not actually presenting anything important, just what they achieved as women. People achieve things. Not men or women

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-04-08*

It’s absolutely gorgeous but so disappointing! I launched it and cannot figure out how to scan! The only option I have is “don’t have a textbook”... but I DO have the History of US series! Including book 5, which I know is the only book used right now. I just don’t know how to get the app to scan, since there’s nothing on the screen to do anything!

If I’m doing something wrong, I’d love to here what because I LOVE the idea of this app and it’s illustrations are fantastic! I want it to work! I’m happy to change my review once it works!

### 1/5 — Not working for me

*2019-03-26, version 1.6*

Really wanted this to work but it wouldn’t scan any pictures for me

### 2/5 — Big fixes needed

*2020-06-09, version 1.9*

I have an iPhone 11 max pro that has the most up to date version of iOS and the app keeps crashing anytime I try to “share” a story. Please fix!!

### 2/5 — App freezes 😒

*2020-06-08*

I saw this on the App Store and I thought it looked like an awesome game. I got it and was very happy to see that it was free. I opened the app and it goes to a “did you know” page. Then it freezes. I click stuff and nothing happens. It doesn’t load at all. In all very unhappy ☹️

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2019-07-24*

As an African American woman I was grossly disappointed with this app. Except for one or two, every Black woman included in this app was a slave. While escaping slavery is a remarkable feat, it would be great if you included Black women who contributed to American society in over ways: ie doctors, politicians, activists, artists. It’s not super useful. I also wish you took the time to introduce girls to more women who aren’t in the history books. The big names are more likely to be there so why not include predominantly new names? If you don’t already have a Black person on your staff please get one ASAP. This app could be great but it’s severely lacking as it stands.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Clara Barton is Missing

*2022-02-24*

I can’t thank you enough for creating something so important. And the graphics make it so approachable and fun!
The only thing I would point out is that Clara Barton is missing. She used her own money during civil war to bring medical supplies to the wounded soldiers at the frontline, wrote letters to their families so they could have closure, and fought for 10 years to establish the American Red Cross. She more than deserves to be shown next to Abraham Lincoln and all other important civil war heroes.

### 5/5 — LOVE this

*2021-03-07*

This app is amazing and I am so glad to have found it because o had no idea how little we learn about historical women in school and this is also great because I love reading about women throughout history but a lot of the women in this app I have never heard of so it’s really great they these incredible people are getting even a little recognition 😄😄😄

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2021-02-18, version 1.12*

I LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH!! Ok but being for real, two people who I would love to see added: Ruth bader Ginsberg and Angelina grimke.

### 5/5 — Great Idea

*2021-02-01*

This app seems really cool! I love this idea and the information shared!!

I’m also seriously missing Tracey Africa Norman, Andrea Jenkins, Miss Major, and Lavern Cox. Hopefully there will be updates shortly!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-08-13, version 1.10*

Getting these women the recognition that is deserved

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!!<3

*2020-06-08, version 1.9*

### 5/5 — Amazing app!

*2020-06-06, version 1.9*

I learned so much and I loved the AR component of it. Really recommend.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2019-11-13, version 1.9*

Aloha mai kakou,

I love this app a lot and I was wondering if it is possible to add some Herstory on the strong women in Hawaiian Herstory?

Mahalo nui loa,
Kahi

### 5/5 — Amazing app love it it’s SO cool!

*2019-09-08*

Ok I love this game, but I do have two requests. One, PUT Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the app! She has an AWESOME story, and more people should know Herstory (Ok sorry for the cheesy joke.). Two, you don’t have to, but, add more women. No more requests it really is an AMAZING app! Thank you for reading this and thank you for making this app! -Me (I’m not sharing my name)

### 5/5 — Great tool for my kids

*2019-06-05*

This is amazing. My daughter loved, she spend a lot of time playing with the app and learning about the forgotten women in history.
