A permanent bookmark for everything you use. LesterMark bookmarks the thing itself — wherever it actually lives — so you can find it, search it, and open it straight back to its source, all from one place. Capture files, photos, web pages, and Obsidian notes right from your iPhone or iPad, using the share sheet — no copying, no moving files around, no separate folder structure to maintain. Once you're bookmarking, LesterMark also lets you connect bookmarks to each other: relate a note to the file it's about, an email to the document it references, and see what's linked in and out from any bookmark. Your data stays in your own iCloud. ## Version history (last 4 releases) ### 1.3 — 2026-08-25 Capture PDFs from Safari — now works everywhere LesterMark now appears in Safari's share sheet when you're viewing an inline PDF — a bank statement, a report, a form — directly in the browser. Previously, the share sheet would appear for web pages and photos but skip PDFs entirely. Tap the share button, choose LesterMark, and you get a permanent bookmark that stays openable on both iPhone and iPad. The bookmark links back to a saved copy of the PDF, not just a reference to a temporary file, so it's still there and still openable days or weeks later. Cleaner permission screens The screen that asks for access to your files has been rewritten to use plain language throughout. The button that was sometimes shown in a disabled state now explains why, clearly. "Show in Files" now appears only where it makes sense — for PDF captures — instead of on every type of object. Type badge colors You can now customize the color of the type badge shown on bookmarks in Settings. Pick from a set of presets to visually distinguish your different object types at a glance. Stability fixes Files recaptured after being moved or renamed now show up correctly in the library after a refresh.
