START WITH SHOT COACH

Tell Better Pics what you are photographing, which lens is mounted, the light, the movement and the result you want. You will get a clear starting setup for exposure mode, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, autofocus, drive mode, stabilization and useful camera options—plus a plain-English reason for every choice and a rescue plan if the first frame is not right.

REVIEW THE SHOT

Choose a photo and Better Pics reads the available EXIF and TIFF metadata, then privately analyzes the rendered image on your iPhone. It checks tonal range, bright and dark areas, visible edge definition, faces and subject placement, and combines those observations with the recorded shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, lens and camera.

Every review separates facts from suggestions. If the file does not contain a setting, Better Pics says so instead of guessing.
