## What is LetsDrive?

Driving somewhere with other people is the one thing navigation apps never solved.

Finding the destination was never the hard part. Staying together is. Somebody misses an exit, somebody stops for fuel, somebody leaves twenty minutes late, and it turns into a group chat nobody can safely read at 70 mph.

One Road, Not Four
Give four people the same destination and four navigation apps will send them down three different highways. LetsDrive routes everyone onto one shared corridor.

When Someone Drifts, It Does Something
Most apps show you a dot and leave the rest to you. LetsDrive hands you turn by turn directions that rejoin the group at a point it has not passed yet. You merge in instead of chasing.

The Whole Group, At A Glance
Every car on one map, in its own color, with the real gaps along the bottom. Katy 200 feet ahead. Sam 0.7 miles behind. A Live Activity keeps the convoy on your lock screen.

Arrive Together
Say when you want to be there and each person gets a departure time from their own front door. Eight houses, eight departure times, one arrival. Propose a fuel stop mid drive and it reaches everyone at once, somewhere the whole group can get to without turning around.

Built For CarPlay
Not a phone app squeezed onto a car screen. The convoy, the nearest car gap, native turn cards, search, saved places and voice destination entry, all on the head unit.

Also In The Box
Atlas route drawing, Trip Replay, a web planner, invites by contact, link, trip code or QR, multi stop routes, saved places, a route library, vehicles, and Year in Drives.

LetsDrive Pro
Free covers real use: convoy routing, the live map, CarPlay, Trip Replay, Atlas, Year in Drives, and drives of up to four cars. Pro is for the organizer: eight cars, twenty groups, unlimited scheduled trips, seven stops plus your destination, 500 friends, a 200 route library, and custom trip avatars.

Location sharing is per trip. It starts when the drive starts and stops when it ends.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.9.10 — 2026-09-11

Fixed
• Background guidance no longer gets stuck off after an iOS update. Updating iOS can quietly set LetsDrive's Location back to “While Using”, which stops voice directions and your convoy pin the moment your phone goes in your pocket, and iOS only offers to ask for “Always” once. LetsDrive now explains what happened at the start of a drive and takes you straight to the right Settings screen.
• CarPlay now tells you about that when you plug in, rather than after you have started driving, and leaves the fix waiting for you next time you open LetsDrive on your phone.

### 2026.9.6 — 2026-09-07

Fixed
• Drives recorded in the app's earliest days saved only a name, not who was with you, so blocking someone did not remove them from those. They now read "Someone" instead, on screen and in anything you share.
• A group's "Trips together" now opens onto the same trips it counts. Drives this phone did not record are listed too, marked as such, instead of being left out of the list while still counted.
• A group's history no longer disappears when someone is blocked or leaves the group. The drives you took together stay counted and in the list. Blocked people stay hidden by name and face; it is the journeys that come back.

### 2026.9.5 — 2026-09-06

What's new in this build

Pro upgrade entitlement is now live. Everything you rely on stays free, and a new optional Pro subscription unlocks the bigger stuff: convoys up to 8 cars, more groups, and custom trip avatars.

Your account now handles drives across your devices better. Jump from your phone to another and the live drive hands over cleanly, so you're never accidentally running two at once and your convoy always sees one you.

Your Together and group counts got smarter about who was really along, so the drives you've shared with each person add up the way you'd expect.

And a lot of quiet polish underneath: making, joining and changing trips and groups feel instant and keep working offline, weak-signal navigation holds together, and the little things across Stats, groups and the launch screen line up the way they should.

Have a drive, and tell us how it feels.

### 2026.9.3 — 2026-09-05

What's New
• Creating and joining trips, making a group, and leaving one now appear instantly, matching the web planner, instead of pausing while the server catches up. Friend requests and group invitations still wait for the server, because only it can tell you whether the code was real or the person had blocked you.
• Trip and group changes now work offline too. An action you take with no signal applies right away, shows as waiting to send, and syncs when you are back online without flickering back. Making, renaming, archiving or cancelling something survives a force quit. Leaving or deleting can reappear until you are back online, then goes for good.
• Your Stats now has a Groups section, with a row for each of your groups showing its name, distance and trips.

Fixed
• Someone who has left a group is no longer invited to that group's trips, where they would otherwise have seen the trip, its people and its route.
• Editing your profile, removing someone from a trip, or accepting an invite no longer freezes when you do it offline.
• A group trip you were invited to but never answered no longer counts as one you were on.
• A group's Trips Together now shows its count, matching the Shared Routes row beneath it, and both numbers read as bold counts instead of blending into the text beside them.
• The launch screen now shows the flat brand mark on plain white or black, matching the rest of the app, instead of the old gradient.
• VoiceOver now reads the Trips Together and Shared Routes counts in your language, instead of English.
