### 5/5 — Great game!

*2022-12-31, version 1.3*

Love this game; it’s a fresh word game that works for all skill levels. The built in dictionary isn’t exactly the official Scrabble dictionary but is pretty comprehensive. The $3 for ad-free is easily worth it.

Requests for the developer:

 - More packs please! At the rate I’m going I’ll finish the ones provided in like a week, 😆
 - A super hard daily challenge that’s a seven letter word?
 - Eight letter puzzles? 🧐

Thanks for making this! I’m enjoying it quite a lot!

### 5/5 — Ethical Puzzler

*2022-12-28, version 1.3*

First, this game is just fun. It's an interesting, engaging concept with a large amount of free content.

Moreso, in an era of thousands of crossword-esque games, each one with more ads than the last, this game is a breath of fresh air.

You can FEEL the developer's presence in this game, from the introduction and tutorial to the apologetic note attached to mandatory (but shockingly unintrusive) ads.

Also, again - just a fun game.

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2022-10-22*

I was googling forever to find a game based on doublets and word ladders!!!! This is better than wordle thank you ethan! Xoxox

### 5/5 — Familiar, yet unique

*2022-10-13*

This is beautifully designed. It takes a game that I know, but makes it better and more interesting and difficult. I really appreciate that it works in both portrait and landscape modes.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback! I just pushed an update (v1.23) that should fix and offer improved landscape support. I hope you are continuing to enjoy Letter Lattice, and have a great day!

### 5/5 — Thanks for fixing archive 👏🏻

*2022-10-10, version 1.3*

Thank you so much for fixing the archives to show what’s been played 👍🏻
Really loving this game 🙌🏻

### 5/5 — Great game until the upgrade UPDATE

*2022-10-03*

Now the daily game doesn’t work

And now it’s fixed! Thank you!

**Developer response:** Hi,
I’m sorry to hear that. The server I’ve been using to host new daily puzzles has been faulty over the last day or two but has been running intermittently. If you force quit the app and allow a few moments to reconnect it may give you access.

I’ve been working on a fix that should be released this weekend to resolve this issue. I apologize for any problems this caused, and thanks for reaching for reaching out!

I will update my response to you as soon as the update is live :)

### 5/5 — A perfect app

*2022-09-22, version 1.22*

I’m an iOS dev myself, and I’m blown away by the quality. Beautiful palettes and animations, no predatory micro-transactions, and just extremely well made. Happily paid for the upgrade.

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2022-08-02*

Dog you did everything about this game right. Not even just the game, the way everything is layed out and the design of everything is perfect. This so the exact thing I wanna sit and waste time playing.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2022-07-25*

This is an amazing game! There is an ad every 3-5 puzzles and, as far as I can tell, the ads don’t interrupt any music you have on!! The free version is limited, but it only costs $3 to get the full game with no ads and additional backgrounds. The only SLIGHT note I would have is that the timer for how fast you finish counts the seconds when you are in an ad, so if you watch and ad and take 5 seconds to beat it, it’ll say it took 20 seconds. Not a big note and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes Weaver and wants to relax.

### 5/5 — Confusing yet.. not confusing?

*2022-07-22*

I read through and participated through the tutorial and am still a little confused on how the game itself works. For example the word is LET and SAY. I pull S from SAY and make SET. then i make TAS by rearranging some. Then it does some automatic moving and adds the Y at the end to make SAY and then says COMPLETED 👑. But I never used the Y so wouldn’t I have lost? Perhaps it’s just my own slowness but I can’t comprehend how I’ve won.

REGARDLESS A great game and I’ve been able to use the indicators as helpers. The tutorial is a great resource and it’s a fun game.

### 5/5 — This is a gem (Note to developer)

*2022-07-21*

I think I played about 30% of the easy puzzles before I was sold on this game. USE HEADPHONES! If you aren’t playing in a way that let’s you appreciate the music you’re missing out. This is a fun and engaging puzzle and I found myself chuckling at how fun it is several times already. Easily worth the premium price.

( As a side note. I have big hands and don't really like playing phone games in standard position. I would LOVE a future update with a landscape mode. )

### 5/5 — One of the greatest word games I’ve played

*2022-07-19*

I’ve played several word games and this has to be one of my favorites. The games design is so clean and simple and the game is also just a great concept. There’s a ton of different packs so it’s hard to get bored of the game. There’s also barely any ads and the ones you do get are super short. 10/10 word game.

### 5/5 — What. A. Game.

*2022-07-18*

I think that it is safe to say that this word app is one of the best out there. I love how I can use hints to help me find the answers to tough questions when they happen to come across. I think that it is is super rewarding to play this game and have recommended it to many of my friends! This game developer is top tier and should be widely recognized.

### 5/5 — Such a hit!

*2022-07-18, version 1.22*

This game is fun and creative and my new favorite!

### 5/5 — Love!

*2022-07-18, version 1.22*

Such a great game and so addicting. I love the ability to use clues to solve. Great game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Good when it works.

*2022-12-09*

It was great until November when the daily game stopped working. Figured out I could still play if every day I rolled the calendar back to October first, then to November, but I had to do that every single day. Once December started, that trick stopped working, so I haven’t been able to play the daily game at all now. Regular play works fine, it’s just the daily that doesn’t work.

**Developer response:** Hi! Sorry about the late response. I recently pushed an update to fix this issue so that daily puzzles will be available long into the future! Apologies for the delay and my silly coding bugs.

-Ethan

### 3/5 — Love game

*2026-04-11, version 1.32*

Love this game but the ads are frequent and long!

### 4/5 — Great game….

*2024-10-01*

If it had word definitions that pop up when you solve a line it would be amazing.

### 4/5 — Ladderiffic

*2022-09-25*

Thanks, Ethan, for making the game work in landscape. You’re a pro. I wrote a longer response, but App Store ate it. Just know I appreciate what you do. Meanwhile, can you add support for external keyboard? That’d get 5/5 for me. :) Everyone else: if you like word games, you should give this one a go.

Apple: how about paragraphs? Or a “are you sure you want to cancel your review” when you tap 3 pixels outside the review box? How about a way to review the App Store?

**Developer response:** Hi!
External keyboard support *should* be operational if you update the game to v1.3 :)

I’ve tested with the keyboards I can find and borrow, but from what I can tell, there isn’t a straightforward way to do it on Unity to ensure all third-party keyboards work. Please reach out if you are having issues with any of the input and I’ll do my best to resolve it quickly!

### 5/5 — This game is great.

*2025-11-12*

The sounds and haptics feel great, the achievements unlocking new palettes is a wonderful motivator, and the puzzles are perfect for those in-between moments in the day. I also like that it apologizes for when an ad shows up. That was kind. Great game and I like the transition animation :)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-02-09*

I just started playing, but I love the color scheme, I love how unique and fun the game is to play, and I love that you made hints free forever! To top that off I like how you can get the full game for just $3, it's much better than those games that force you to buy a subscription! :)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-11-04, version 1.31*

I love this game!! There are so many game options. The messages and fonts are so fun. So are the colors. Such a good app, you can tell the creator had fun with it. :)

### 5/5 — Best Puzzle Game

*2024-10-18, version 1.31*

Great defintely recommend, just wanted to know if you are planning to make an android app for this app?

### 5/5 — Drool-worthy design

*2024-05-19*

Fantastic game — and it just happens to the only mobile game I’ve ever played that I could feel the dev’s personality shine through. Ethan deserves all the stars. The design is so satisfying, the game is challenging (but not frustrating). I wish there were more mobile games like this. I don’t even have constructive feedback — this game is fantastic.

### 5/5 — Criminally underrated

*2024-04-01*

It’s a little confusing at first but easy to get ahold of because the tutorial does a great job of explaining how to play the game. You get to play a ton of levels for free, and the game overall is very aesthetically pleasing. Yes the free version has ads, but it’s $2.99 to buy the entire game. Let the man get his well deserved bag. If he releases anymore games I’ll definitely have to play them.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Game is Absolutely Amazing

*2024-03-30*

I have nothing bad to say. The tutorials, game modes, and fast-pace the game has are to love. Everything is explained perfectly and while it could take a bit of time for some to get used to, if you like word games it should be very much to your liking.

-I have a minor suggestion which isn’t a negative, but something interesting. I find myself making words that, while I can infer their meanings, I sometimes don’t know what they mean. I think it’d be nice if once you complete a puzzle and the “Level Completed!” screen with the time and “Next Level” button pop up you could press the words you made and get a brief definition of them. The feature could be expanded upon too; when writing the word then the definition shows. It isn’t necessary by any means, and not having it isn’t something that takes away from the amazing gameplay, but for the purpose of learning new words while playing a game I enjoy, I think it’d be a good quality-of-life feature.

Besides that, the game has immense charm and I love it!

### 5/5 — Loved the tutorial

*2024-02-03*

The tutorial is an excellent step by step explanation of how the game works! It includes info on help along the way. I loved "hearing" directly from the developer. I'm looking forward to playing!

### 5/5 — Finally something new

*2023-08-01, version 1.31*

Love this game!

### 5/5 — Good experience

*2023-06-01, version 1.3*

This game grew a little on me. I didn’t understand the basics of the colors. Now I like playing. Also, the sounds and music are really fun. The UI is fun too.
