## What is Letter Play?

Letter Play helps children meet letters and their sounds in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. The first track (letters and sounds) is free and complete. Four extra tracks (blending, words, sentences, pronunciation) unlock with a one-time purchase — no subscription, no ads. Everything works by touch; speak, record and drag are optional and off by default. An educational resource, not a diagnostic instrument; it does not replace a teacher or speech therapist. The method has not been professionally validated.

## Pricing and in-app purchases

Base price: Free.

**One-time purchases**

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-10

Version 1.2: the full trails are much bigger, with new words, sentences and sound pairs. Every sentence read now earns a reward illustration, the map has colorful badges and the mascot has new expressions. Also new: gentle sound effects (you can turn them off in the adult area), a refreshed look, larger screens on iPad and a new icon.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-09

You can now rate the app from the adult area, behind the grown-up check. Small fixes, too. Thank you to every family playing!

### 1.1 — 2026-09-28

A brand-new look! Words now come with 115 illustrations made for the game, the mascot reacts as your child plays, and every screen is clearer and easier to read.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-23

No release notes.
