When life gets busy and keeping up with friends is harder than you expected, this is a great app to get. Receiving the monthly newsletter to see what my friends are up to is my favorite way to start the day! This makes it way easier. Only thing I would add is a way to add video/Live Photo content. (You can add links) But honestly, it’s nice to finally have a media that doesn’t have video as the main media, so I may not even add that. ### 5/5 — I LOVE LETTER LOOP *2026-02-23, version 1.50* We love all of the features, such as being able to submit questions, linking to spotify, all of the photo upload options, and being able to react/comment on individuals replies and photos. I also love the album feature where it stores all of the photos in one place for everyone to look back on across all of the issues. I also really appreciate the pricing structure - it was key that every member didn't have to subscribe as I think that would have prevented some individuals for signing up. I have friends scattered around and sometimes it's hard to stay connected. The questions, photos, and comments easily allow us to connect. I started this for one friend group but I expanded it to others. The first one was great! Then I received an email that only the first two are free. After that it's a five dollars per month. This wasn't made clear when I first looked at this app on the App Store, when I saw their advertisements, or after I downloaded the app. It only became evident after I was already hooked. It gives shady business practice. ### 1/5 — took my money *2024-11-08, version 1.14* after the first few newsletters, you have to subscribe to continue. it is 5$ per month or 50$ per year. i subscribed around 4 days ago and could not activate my newsletter. when clicking on my newsletter to activate, it brings me to the subscribe page. when clicking on the settings for the newsletter, it brings me to subscribe page. i confirmed that 50$ was charged on my card. i sent them an email 3 days ago and still no reply (that was on tuesday, so i feel that 3 business days should be enough to get a reply). do not get this app. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The Social Media We All Want *2026-08-13, version 1.53* This is the only app I have ever left a review for - it lets me stay connected with my friends from college in a way we wouldn’t be able to any other way. I’m really thankful for letterloop it’s such a creative, fun way to stay in touch! completely worth it and such a great idea. ### 5/5 — This tops all social media *2026-07-18, version 1.53* Social Media is just a giant mall, I can’t even justify using it anymore let alone rationalize that it’s the way to keep up with my friends. Algorithms push ads over my friend’s updates, you have to sift thru slop just to see what your loved ones are up to. This app has been a godsend. I started several with friends, and it’s an easy and delightful way to keep up with my loved ones. I love how intentional it is—you can pose questions, share photos, answer as many or as few questions as you want. I started one with my family, and the other day, my Dad asked a reflective question and I was so ecstatic to have HIM propose questions 🥹🥹🥹🥹. I love that you can modify the cadence of the issues- I have monthly ones for my busy friends, and bi-weeklies for my besties.
