### 1/5 — “Corn” isn’t a word?

*2018-07-16*

A game like this requires fluent linguists. You don’t seem to know enough English words to make a game of it.

**Developer response:** Hello Donovan Kai. Thank you for your review. I didn't personally write down every English word I know to this game by hand. That would take forever. Even you don't know every English word there is, nobody does. The average English-speaking adult knows between 20,000 and 30,000 words. Top 5% of people know an average of 52,000 words. There are over 170,000 words in the English language. As a solution this game uses a huge build in database of English words and other languages. 'Corn' is a word and the database in this game knows the word 'Corn'. Are you sure you had the right letters in the right order for the word when you played the game? If you had letters C N R they are in wrong order. Because R comes before N. But if you had letters C R N the word 'Corn' will be ok. You can try this yourself: Start the game and choose the 'Challenge' game mode. It will at first give you only one letter at a time. Start the game until it gives you the letter 'C' 'O' 'R' or 'N'. When it does type the word 'Corn' and you will see that the game knows the word.
