I love the idea of handwritten letters. Reading those open letters really makes me want to write one too. The only thing stopping me is that I’m a bit anxious about online interactions. If i can’t even choose what kind of people can receive my letters, I’ll always worry that someone who doesn’t understand me might send me a rude reply. So i’d really appreciate it if we could choose tags or limit who can see our open letters. I think people like me will feel a lot  safer to share our thoughts here.

So the app’s good so far I enjoy all the features and the stamp thing is pretty cool, the only downside is that you have to pay for more stamps when you run out, my suggestion is to have like one app stamp that’s free and can be used infinitely if you run out of other stamps.

EDIT: I only suggest this because many users sometimes don’t have option to buy more stamps or use the subscription. Thank u, :)

As a stationery and handwriting nerd, this app is a dream come true! 🖋️ Lettre.app brings all the nostalgia and charm of handwritten letters to your iPad. I love being able to choose different papers, add cute stickers, and use the collectible stamps. It has completely changed how I communicate with friends and penpals!

It’s so intresting and fun to use! I made so many friends using this app. The only downside is we have to wait a day to send a letter and to get one back. But I definitely recommend downloading this.

On the point about the downside, it’s actually by design as we want people to have more thoughtful and meaningful conversations over instant gratification. With that said, we do have the option to send a lettre instantly or at a scheduled time; it’s called “Express Mail” and can be found on the Envelope screen. Tap the “thunder/lightning”-looking button to enable Express Mail mode! To note, this feature is only available for members of the Pippin Supporters Club, the people whose support keeps us independent and ad-free for everyone!

Hey there lovelies! We have an update for you, 
This update gives the Post Office a fresh coat of paint, makes regional pricing behave properly, and squashes a whole bunch of bugs that were making sign-in and browsing from the PenPal Stack more complicated than they should be. Here’s what’s new, the important stuff worth mentioning 

- The Post Office (Part 2 of 2): We've completely rebuilt the Stamps and Papers tabs to make browsing our stationery collection in the Post Office tab feel more like, well, browsing a stationery shop! Stamp and stationery packs can now open into their own scrolling collections, while smaller/older packs have been grouped together as cover cards so the Post Office stays tidy. We've also separated individual papers and envelopes into their own sections, added shimmer loading placeholders, and introduced a shared price pill across Stamps and Papers for a more consistent experience. While we were at it, we have also fixed some annoying pricing issues; Prices are now pulled directly from the App Store for your region, so you should see the right currency, symbol, formatting and price wherever you shop in the Post Office.

- A more reliable log-in: This update contains a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make signing in and staying signed in much less error-prone. We've fixed a number of edge cases involving Apple, Google, and email sign-in, including getting randomly signed out, signing back in immediately after signing out, interrupted Apple sign-ins, accidental double-taps, Face ID getting stuck, and sign-in screens becoming unresponsive. Cancelling a sign-in should now actually cancel it, too. No more mysteriously disabled buttons requiring a force quit. We are hoping to see less and less of these pesky login/signup issues

- PenPal stack enhancements: Our PenPal Stack also got a healthy number of under-the-hood upgrades this time around. The PenPal Stack is more resilient when things are slow, and pull-to-refresh works even while the feed is still waking up. We've also fixed blank or incorrect envelope thumbnails, which means scrolling through your stack of PenPal lettres will now feel a lot smoother than before.

- Under-the-hood: Beyond the Post Office and PenPal stack, we have also made some improvements across the board; (including but not limited to) → pinning Lettre's dates to the Gregorian calendar, improving sign-in diagnostics, fixing duplicate guest credentials, and cleaning up a whole bunch of noisy logs. In other words: fewer weird things happening and much better clues when something does.

- The Usual Suspects: Bugs and crashes from last time, done and dusted! Thank you, as always, to each and every one of you for helping us find the weird stuff. Every bug report, confusing screen, and "hey, this shouldn't be happening" message helps us make Lettre a little better for everyone. (please use the “contact us” or “report a bug” buttons to get in touch with us! You are the reason we get to improve the experience for everyone else)

Hello everyone! This was the longest we've ever gone without an update but it was for the best possible reasons! Well, we are here with one of our bigger updates and this time: The Post Office just got its biggest makeover yet! Let’s dig in

- The Post Office: Introducing the all-new Post Office tab, making it easier to discover everything happening in the Post Office in one place! A redesigned navigation with a floating section switcher for Home, Stamps, and Papers makes the entire experience a lot more vivid. From beautiful new featured banners with swipeable cards, collectibles and featured items all the way to a brand-new Monthly Stationery section so you can browse the month's paper packs more easily (the shuffle button is still here!!), this is the biggest “makeover” we did so far. Consider this a love lettre to Apple (notice us pls!)

- New Stationery: We are dropping TWO new sets of envelopes, now available at the Post Office! We bet you will LOOOOVE them!

- New Artist Collab: Fresh set of stamps anyone? We got you! 

- A small but significant tweak: We also gave the PenPal posting notice a much-needed upgrade. What used to be a small popup is now a proper illustrated modal that better explains how PenPals work. We made this change for two important reasons:

1. PenPal lettres are public: Unlike the lettres in your Mailbox, anything you post to a PenPal region can be read by anyone browsing that region. Please avoid oversharing personal or sensitive information in these lettres. (FYI: once you start a conversation with someone though, this does not apply as those lettres live in your Mailbox, 100% private). 

2. Replies aren't guaranteed: Posting to the PenPal stack is a great way to share your thoughts with the community, but there's no guarantee someone will respond. If you're hoping to make a new pen pal, we highly recommend using "Start a Conversation" instead; or doing both! There are plenty of people waiting to hear from someone just like you.

- The usual suspects: Bugs and crashes, what even are they? We squashed them! Under the hood, we've also made the Post Office significantly faster by reducing unnecessary loading, improving scrolling performance, fixing numerous UI issues, and laying the foundation for future improvements. We have some bigger stuff coming! 

What’s next:
- Some more UI revamp: Almost everything is getting a glow-up! 
- Group Threaded Messages: We’re super excited to add group-threaded-messages soon! 
- Additional privacy settings which will allow you to have more control over who gets to read lettres posted to the PenPal stack.

Hello beautiful people of this lovely community! After countless sleepless nights we have, as they say “ANOTHA ONE” of these incredible updates for you. No time to waste, let’s find out what’s new!

- Monthly Stationery for Pippin Supporters Club Members, revamped: You know how you used to be limited to claiming just one monthly stationery set that we picked for you? Well... that's gone. From now on, you'll be able to browse and choose from a wide selection of available stationery and claim the one you actually want. No more waiting and hoping this month's set is your style. No more fomo in case you missed a set you liked either!

Of course, we won't throw everything at you all at once (we don't want anyone getting overwhelmed), so we've also added a Shuffle button. Tap it to refresh your selection and discover new options.

To celebrate this upgrade, we've added a whopping 40+ new exclusive stationery just for this feature and what makes them extra special is they are not for sale!

The one-stationery-set-per-month (one paper and one envelope) limit remains for now but we'll be increasing that over time as our collection grows.
Oh and in case you didn’t know: once you claim a stationery set, it's permanently tied to your account, regardless of your future membership status!

- Artist Collab Stamps: We are adding not one but TWO new sets of stamps in collaboration with two independent artists from around the world. Come check out our freshest drops, now available at the Post Office! Bet you will love them!

Hello lovelies! We are back, again with a banger of an update! It's a big update so no time to waste, let’s dig into what’s new!

- PenPal Stack changes: Lettre is built for meaningful connections, not doomscrolling. So to keep things from getting too out of hand, we’ve introduced a soft limit on how many PenPal lettres appear in your Stack each day. (Yes, we’re officially committing to the “PenPal Stack”. Farewell, “feed”, you have officially been fed to the sea of time)

So what does this actually mean?

Each day / every 24 hours, Pippin will deliver you a hand-picked Stack of fresh lettres to discover and start conversations with. Once you reach the end of your Stack for the day, you’ll have the option to join the Pippin Supporters Club; which gets you access to more PenPal lettres in your stack 

But the core idea still stands: instead of endlessly scrolling through infinite lettres, we hope people spend more time starting conversations, making friends, and actually writing back!

- As you already know by now, members of the Pippin Supporters Club always get a little extra. This time, we’re introducing not one, but TWO entirely new ways to show our appreciation!

1) Premium Stickers: Members of the Pippin Supporters Club now have access to an entirely new collection of premium and exclusive stickers! From the compose menu, when you select the Sticker Picker, you will now see a new section dedicated for these stickers you wont find anywhere else! When we say you won’t find them anywhere else, we mean it; because we had each and every one of these stickers exclusively commissioned by our artist friends, just for you! 

2) Premium Rewards: When you become eligible for a free Reward stamp, as a member of the Pippin Supporters Club, you are now also eligible for a more “premium” version of that stamp! Talk about doubling up! Best part, it’s not just a dupe but an entirely fresh set of stamps that we have introduced just for this! Go check them out 

- Weekly membership: A new way to enjoy everything Lettre has to offer! We believe it will allow people to just get a lower-commitment-membership to claim goodies they like without committing to a whole month. Yes, it costs money to keep this platform running and we hate ads and hopefully won’t have to resort to it to survive thanks to you, the members of the Pippin Supporters Club!

- The Usual Suspects: Bugs & Crashes? what even are they? They’re all gone (so far).
