EDIT: I only suggest this because many users sometimes don’t have option to buy more stamps or use the subscription. I made so many friends using this app. The only downside is we have to wait a day to send a letter and to get one back. On the point about the downside, it’s actually by design as we want people to have more thoughtful and meaningful conversations over instant gratification. With that said, we do have the option to send a lettre instantly or at a scheduled time; it’s called “Express Mail” and can be found on the Envelope screen. Tap the “thunder/lightning”-looking button to enable Express Mail mode! To note, this feature is only available for members of the Pippin Supporters Club, the people whose support keeps us independent and ad-free for everyone! ### 3/5 — Fun, but horrible ui *2026-05-25, version 2.7.2* Whenever you want to add a “sticker” (decoration), you have to click on the add sticker button, select one, and then you can mess with the specifics. The specifics are the issue. When you put it under the text, half of the time it just won’t let you edit it by making it bigger or moving it. This wouldn’t be an issue if you could set it up in position before putting it under the text, but the button is in a specific place above the sticker, so it’s sometimes off the screen. This means that, unless you move it, you can’t send it to the back layer. If you have multiple overlapping stickers, it becomes increasingly difficult to change specific ones. You accidentally click on the sticker selection boxes frequently, causing all of them to be highlighted at once. This makes it generally unclear. You’ll frequently zoom in when trying to enlarge items. Also, the only way to change layers is “send to back” or “bring to front,” no “move back one layer.” I enjoy the concept, but it’s very difficult to customize using stickers ### 4/5 — Images broken *2026-04-28, version 2.7.0* Great app! I have since given up on it, but it really does seem like a great app, maybe other people will have a better experience than I did. I don’t even have the app installed anymore and haven’t in a long time ### 1/5 — Got kicked Out *2026-01-19* Update: Yes, I am still having issues with the app. Still not able to log in & still not able to after deleting the app & after the update. :( I am sad because this was a fun app, but not able to do anything with it for over a year.. :( I LOVE this app but I recently got kicked out (logged out) tried logging back in but I received an error. I have tried to figure out where the “contact us” is located, but could not find one. Tried different ways to log in, but nothing is working. I’m hoping leaving a review I could get someone to reply. I tried finding a contact on the app & even the website & still couldn’t find anything. I hope I didn’t lose my pen pals I have already connected with. Letter system is cheaply and sloppily made, a glitch constantly shows the same person’s letter over and over. I spent over two hours carefully crafting a heartfelt, detailed letter… only for the app to crash right as I was about to send it. Everything was lost, and there’s no auto-save or draft recovery feature. I’m actually heart broken. It’s incredibly discouraging to put in so much time and effort just to have it disappear. I really hope the developers consider adding a save/draft function, especially since this app is all about writing and meaningful connection. Reading those open letters really makes me want to write one too. The only thing stopping me is that I’m a bit anxious about online interactions. If i can’t even choose what kind of people can receive my letters, I’ll always worry that someone who doesn’t understand me might send me a rude reply. So i’d really appreciate it if we could choose tags or limit who can see our open letters. My only complaint is that the budding writer and baby steps stamps are really common and they keep accumulating in my stamp book. I don't like to see so many of them accumulating since I dislike their bland appearance, so I tried to send lettres with those stamps to other people, but for some reason I can never get rid of them completely. I have made some friends on it that i send letters back and forward to often and i quite enjoy the slower approach to it (although i would prefer if there was a feature such as 3 immediate sends a month for free). The only bad thing is when i receive letters they show and i can read and reply to them but it takes a lot longer for the actual notification for it to be sent through which annoys me as i’ve already replied to the lettre but then i’m getting a notification a few hours late.
