## What is Level Network?

Level Network is a $1/month social network with no ads, no recommendation algorithm, no public popularity metrics, and a chronological timeline of the people you follow.

Most social apps are free, and the price is hidden in the design: ads, engagement bait, ranked timelines, and a scoreboard over every post. Level uses a cleaner model. You pay $1 a month, and the app works for you.

THE CONTRACT

- Users are the customer. The dollar keeps Level independent from advertisers and paid reach.
- Following means following. Your timeline is chronological posts from people you chose - nothing inserted, nothing reordered.
- No public scoreboards. No public like, follower, or view counts attached to people and posts. Posts stand on their own.
- Monthly on purpose. No annual lock-in. Level has to keep earning the dollar.

A SOCIAL NETWORK, NOT A SLOT MACHINE

Level is still for normal social life: photos, stories, links, jokes, plans, art, taste, and keeping up with friends. Post things. Comment like a person. Share finds with people who trust your taste. Small posts have room here, because social media should still feel social.

WHAT LEVEL REFUSES TO DO

- No ads, ever.
- No For You page interrupting your timeline.
- No selling your data or your attention.
- No streaks, guilt loops, or fake urgency.
- No paid reach. Nobody can pay their way into your timeline.

QUIET BY DESIGN

Notifications correspond to real social activity - a follow, a comment, a reply, a mention - not manufactured reasons to open the app. Level is built to be worth opening, not hard to close.

Membership is $1/month through Apple. Cancel anytime in your Apple subscriptions. Your account and your content are yours, and account deletion is built into the app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-03

Level is in your share sheet now.

Found a link, photo, video, or thought worth sharing? Start a timeline post right from the app you’re in. Links and text can also go straight to a recent conversation.

The Post tab has a calmer new flow for Timeline and Story drafts, with clearer previews, cropping, and posting feedback. Photos and videos keep their real shape; fullscreen photos have smoother pinch-to-zoom; and videos have cleaner controls, scrubbing, and press-and-drag 2× playback.

Sharing posts in messages now includes recipient search and an optional note, while long timelines and comment threads keep loading more reliably. We also polished notifications, sign-in methods, larger controls, support for Reduce Motion, and performance throughout Level.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-07-18

Notifications should feel calmer and more dependable. This update makes notification preferences save reliably and clears notifications after you’ve seen them. It also fixes discarded composer drafts, collection ordering, and sign-in/session reliability.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-06

Level 1.0.2 is a care-and-trust update for the launch-week app.

- Stories and highlights open more reliably and load more smoothly, with instant placeholders, faster previews, and less unnecessary data use.
- Badges and followed-comment red dots now stay aligned with what you have actually read.
- Taps and gestures are more intentional: scrolling will not open a post, story dismissals stay dismissals, and collection rows route correctly.
- Navigation is steadier, including expanded nav behavior and the floating nav button.
- The end of the timeline now has a softer caught-up moment instead of permanent blank space.
- Quiet polish across sheets, sign-in code paste, spacing, and layout.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-02

Level 1.0.1 is a polish update. No new features - just care.

- Timeline photos load smoother: instant previews that sharpen as the
full image arrives, with smarter prefetching while you scroll.
- The floating tab bar is more reliable: taps land where they should,
  every time.
- Notifications are more dependable and route you to the right place.
- Links in posts now open exactly one viewer.
- Clearer loading, error, and retry states across the app.
- Better VoiceOver support in the media viewer and beyond.
- Dozens of small fixes from our pre-launch quality audit.
