### 3/5 — Could be great

*2026-05-09, version v1.6.150*

The one thing really holding this app back is the HORRIBLE food log. PLEASE just get meal data/nutrients from Apple Health or integrate with Lose-It. The native food tracking is terrible. Even logging the food in Lose-it and taking screenshots of the meal, the Levels Ai sucks at getting the macros correct. It’s wrong more than half the time. If they fix this, it would be so much more useful!

### 2/5 — Meh

*2026-04-16, version v1.6.150*

So far I’m seeing about 10% of the value of the $500 that I’ve spent on this application. I also don’t understand how when advertised it doesn’t advertise that we were going to need to use two apps together numbers the other one being Stelo. And with this when I want to input an activity or what I’m eating, etc. I have to do it twice because the only thing that the one app tells the other is my sugar level. Secondly, this is supposed to be telling me also my different levels for cardiac numbers with regard to LDL, HDL triglyceride, etc….. so far it does not do this so as of right now when the membership ends in one year, I will not get this again because so far it isn’t overpriced blood detector that has not shown me any of what it’s supposed to yet

### 3/5 — Good tracking terrible AI coach, gives wrong information

*2026-03-19*

I have used Levels a few times and usually for a period of time with the glucose monitor to calibrate my eating exercise and overall health. The app is easy to use and does the basics well (5 ⭐️). They now have an AI coach, which is truly terrible (1 ⭐️ or less). I am well-versed in and understand how AI works, especially large language, models and AI for analysis. This “coach” not only gives you bad advice it sometimes pulls the wrong data and then confidently analyzes it. On the misguided advice - I had a spike due to stress with a perfectly balanced meal that I ate a little bit before. It confidently said I might want to reconsider the meal. When I shared the meal back and reminded it of the event I tracked at the same time, it basically said, oh yeah you’re right, my bad, this is a really well balanced meal, maybe it’s stress. I have screenshots of all of this. It also has pulled the wrong data claiming I had a glucose drop in the evening when it actually happened in the middle of the night. We went back-and-forth three times and it really couldn’t understand that the time period it had was wrong. I actually fed some of the answers and screenshots into another AI tool and that AI tool basically said that’s terrible. It’s suggested I write a letter and that I didn’t need it for the analysis so I should stop using it. 😂 Bottom line - use the app but use the AI coach very cautiously. To the developers this AI coach needs a lot of work and you may want to reconsider how you released it and how your advertising it within the app. It is a liability especially for people who are looking for solid analysis and feedback.

### 3/5 — Bad experience in iOS 26.1

*2025-12-21, version v1.6.136*

I have used and loved Levels for about a year. I upgraded my iPhone- downloaded the Levels updates and the app runs 3 hours behind reading the cgm. The “Help” feature doesn’t load… really not helpful anymore and no way to contact them for help.

### 2/5 — Great software, but fails because of a dependency

*2025-12-17, version v1.6.136*

Excellent app in what it does, but fails miserably because it depends on Stelo for OTC CGMs — genuinely makes it almost useless, if it were not for the library of really helpful articles. Metrics are a waste, because Stelo CGMs are simply inaccurate and unreliable (read the plethora of feedback online). Do your own research, but please investigate to save you time and frustration. The staff at Levels are superb and I hope whatever it is that is preventing them from using Lingo and others (if others) can be resolved. However, Levels should really disclose the Stelo dilemma to their potential customer before they subscribe. I had to cancel.

### 2/5 — Tracking Food is Awkward

*2025-12-15, version v1.6.134*

Feedback from the CGM is useful, the food tracking feature is awkward and testing isn’t available in my area so I’m using Function.

### 2/5 — Great software, but fails because of a dependency

*2025-12-09, version v1.6.134*

### 2/5 — Just an AI app

*2025-11-18, version v1.6.131*

Not useful, not user friendly, data hard to read, very expensive.

### 1/5 — Libre 3 sensor is not supported

*2025-11-15, version v1.6.131*

Libre 3 sensor is not supported anymore. No customer service.

### 1/5 — Discontinued Libre 3 connection

*2025-11-14, version v1.6.131*

Even though Libre 3 has been discontinued by abbot. We still had sensors that were working and now there’s way to add them. Also at $50 per month, it’s way overpriced… do better guys z

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam of the year!!!!

*2026-08-30*

$499 for over 20 markers and so far the only thing it has kept track of his glucose… So in conjunction to the $499 per year is now an $89 a month charge for glucose monitors. And while that by itself is on a completely different app, this company is 100% a scam because there’s not a single solitary thing that it measures other than glucose that it said it was going to measure. If you’re thinking about getting this go a different route because there’s not a thing about it that it’s worthwhile. You ended up having to download two apps and if you want to track your meals and activities, etc., you have to input the information twice (once in each app) because the only thing the two apps communicate to one another is glucose levels and nothing else. When you look at the website, it sounds great. Looks very enticing but when you get the app, you have this misunderstanding this company is interested only in your money and not giving you a finished product. I am very thankful that I did not do the $2000 version.

### 1/5 — Bad app bad return policy

*2026-08-25, version v1.6.184*

Wouldn’t refund since is was outside the meager 14 day return policy. If you don’t have glucose monitor don’t use. Bad customer service!

### 1/5 — I wish Levels would use Libre

*2026-08-10, version 1.6.177*

I wish Levels would use Libre. I also wish it would and 1/2 calories for exercise. Otherwise its great

### 1/5 — No Customer Service

*2026-05-19, version v1.6.150*

Be Warned! The CGM device stopped working, they did not give me the $100
credit for signing up other people and the customer support is a useless bot.

### 1/5 — Underwhelmed

*2026-04-17, version v1.6.150*

Overpriced, AI is bad, coaching is very elementary level for the money.

### 1/5 — Complete waste of time and money

*2026-03-14, version v1.6.150*

This app is not user friendly, provides no useable information. It’s so bad that it feels like it can’t be incompetence this feels like it might be a scam. The overall rating of 4.7 does not seem plausible. Do not purchase. Something is wrong. This is so bad I am looking for an oversight or regulatory board to report it.

### 1/5 — Cannot stop billing

*2026-01-26, version v1.6.143*

Signed up for levels, unfortunately there was a typo in my email. I have contacted support multiple times to cancel and they have yet to respond.

### 1/5 — Maybe good for some, not for me

*2026-01-13, version 1.6.141*

The app user interface is colors on black, hard to see. The app has many possible functions; it is unnecessarily complex and complicated. After 2 weeks of use, I haven’t found my way around it though I’m no novice. It adds to my stress level. I will try other CGM/nutrition apps.

### 1/5 — Freezes constantly

*2025-12-20, version v1.6.136*

Just bought a 1 year subscription since I’ve used this app previously and loved it. I am a little concerned because the app keeps freezing causing me to close and reopen. Not the best user experience. I’m hoping the next update will fix it.

### 1/5 — Not for medical glucose patients

*2025-12-16, version v1.6.136*

Their recent announcement to stop support for medical grade CGMs, such as the Dexcom G7, shows what this company truly is: a vanity app for the insanely rich and streaming influencer types.

While the service did provide health benefits while my CGM was fully supported, their recent moves to discontinue real time support for medical CGMs and their insanely priced membership fee updates shows this is clearly not an app for diabetics and pre-diabetics who clearly benefit this most from their service.

If you fall into the medical camp of glucose monitoring: don't bother. They want to sell you on services you don't need and labs you can already get through your doctor.

Also, their "AI" meal evaluation system half works at best. The real power was in manual meal input by the item. Very tedious and manual.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2026-06-13, version v1.6.150*

This is a great app. I am learning so much about what kind of foods affects me and how I can adjust to control my glucose levels.

### 5/5 — Levels, a Great Guide

*2026-04-14, version v1.6.150*

Levels is helping me as I try to lower my A12 and my ApoB. They have helped me set realistic goals and follow a routine that has made a positive difference. With the CGM, I can see the difference my diet makes. Levels is like a good friend encouraging me to make the best decisions. .

### 5/5 — It’s been essential for me

*2026-02-19, version v1.6.147*

I didn’t know I had prediabetes, so getting Levels has been a game changer for me in reducing glucose levels. I couldn’t do without it. Knowing I can see what effect foods have on my blood sugar levels influences what I choose to eat!

### 5/5 — Best tool for your health!

*2026-02-18, version v1.6.147*

Fantastic tool to live your best life!

### 5/5 — 72 and changing my macros

*2026-01-18, version v1.6.142*

I always had a clean and whole diet, but was getting close too to being diabetic and my cholesterol was too high. This tool has helped me to: double my protein and my fiber intake; control my blood sugar levels throughout the day; and get rid of cortisol spikes that awakened me in the middle of the night; and best of all I don’t have to go on medication and still eat the same foods, just differently.

### 5/5 — Levels is a game changer

*2026-01-17, version v1.6.142*

I love Levels. It has changed my life by giving me true insight into how food affects my health and well being. Small invest for the most important asset in your life, you.

### 5/5 — Levels total system

*2026-01-12, version 1.6.141*

Has everything needed to succeed long term.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-12-22, version v1.6.138*

Started with good energy book last fall 9/24, levels app 1/25, CGM 5/25. CGM data is invaluable with AI meal suggestions. Food cravings gone, feel full and cells healthy. Down 25 lbs! 165lbs to 140lbs. No pre diabetes or diabetes diagnosis, however I was undiagnosed insulin resistant and no longer. I recommend the book, app, CGM to everyone!

### 5/5 — Auto-renewal scam

*2025-12-08, version v1.6.133*

Will bait you with an affordable yearly price, and then double it without warning when it renews, even if you haven’t used it in 6 months. Still waiting for a refund

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-12-03, version v1.6.133*

When I got levels and my cgm it changed everything. I learned so much about how my specific body works. Helped me build some real lifestyle habits! Thank you, Levels!
