## What is LexiCrave?

Learn Japanese the way you already scroll.

LexiCrave turns JLPT vocabulary into a feed. One word per card. Swipe up when you know it, and the next one is already there. That's the whole loop — no menus, no setup, nothing shouting at you.

WHY IT STICKS
A scheduler built on FSRS decides what you see and when. Words you are about to forget come back first; words you already know get out of the way. Fifteen minutes a day goes further than an hour of cramming once a week.

WHAT'S INSIDE
• 7,700+ words graded across JLPT N5 to N1
• 19,000+ example sentences, every one voiced
• Pitch accent and furigana on every card
• 13,000+ kanji with readings and meanings
• Grammar notes graded by JLPT level
• Reading practice where every word is tappable

TAP ANY WORD
A full dictionary ships inside the app — 210,000 entries, completely offline. Tap a word in any sentence, even a conjugated one, and the definition comes up instantly. On a plane, in a tunnel, it still works.

QUIET BY DESIGN
Ink on paper, not neon. No ads. No leaderboard. No one else's feed. Just words, one after another.

LEXICRAVE PRO
All seven background themes, retention and heatmap statistics, schedule forecast, review trends, and cross-device sync.

Audio is generated with VOICEVOX (Takehiro Kurono) and AivisSpeech (Rinne Elu). Dictionary data from JMdict/EDICT and KANJIDIC2, used under the EDRDG licence. Full credits in the app under Me → About.

TERMS OF USE
LexiCrave Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.7 — 2026-10-21

A small behind-the-scenes update.

• LexiCrave now connects through our new server address for more reliable access. Your words, progress, reminders and subscription carry over automatically — you stay signed in and there is nothing to do.
• Minor stability improvements.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-15

A fresh look, a calmer start, and a lot of fixes under the hood.

• New app icon and launch screen: a single hand-drawn あ.
• Opening the app no longer flashes black. The first cards are ready by the time the launch screen fades.
• Daily reminders now cover the next seven days, each showing that day's due count, and follow your time zone when you travel.
• Words you have mastered now count toward your Progress totals and review schedule, so some numbers may be higher than before.
• Undoing a card while offline is now corrected in the cloud once you reconnect.
• More reliable syncing when you sign out and another account signs in.
• Faster dictionary start-up, smoother article reading, and fewer stalls on slow networks.
• Many smaller fixes across Search, Progress, audio playback and your profile.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-21

Share what you finished — and let it travel.

• The image you save from a finished session now carries a LexiCrave QR code. Anyone you send it to can scan it and land straight on the App Store.
• The falling kanji used to be gone by the time the image was captured. They are now held in place, so the picture shows the moment you actually just finished.
• Fixed the version number shown at the bottom of the Me screen.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-20

Faster lists, lighter network, and a few fixes.

• Vocabulary list opens instantly. Your saved words now appear from the device right away instead of waiting on the network, and no longer flash an empty screen first.
• Faster search and browsing. Search requests are a fraction of their previous size, and articles, grammar and decks are cached so revisiting them is instant.
• Better behaviour on poor connections. Slow requests now time out and fall back to what is stored on your device instead of leaving you waiting.
• Faster audio worldwide.
• The example-count setting now counts all examples on a card, so the number you pick is the number you get. Showing 2 or more examples per card is now part of Pro.
• Session share images no longer include the on-screen buttons.

Thank you for studying with LexiCrave. One more word. Then one more.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-20

Faster, smoother, and lighter on your connection.

• Much faster start-up. The word feed now appears almost immediately instead of waiting on the network, and words you have already seen load straight from your device.
• Smoother swiping. New cards are fetched earlier and in smaller batches, so you rarely hit a pause mid-session.
• Reading section fixes. The article list now refreshes when you come back to it, loads more articles as you scroll, and no longer shows stray markup in titles.
• Faster audio worldwide.
• Various stability fixes.

Thank you for studying with LexiCrave. One more word. Then one more.
