The app unlinks itself every few months and makes you go into the Alexa app and re-link it. Of course this happens when you need the app most. There is no warning that the app is going to unlink itself, there is no need for the app to unlink itself, and this is just another example of the folks at Lexus not using the applications they’ve designed. Imagine if a car key suddenly didn’t work every few months. I spent $60,000 on a new Lexus and hate everything about the technology. Lexus advertises a Alexa Integration, but it is horrible on every level. Poorly designed and poorly implemented.

Lexus + Alexa has never worked right on my 2020 RX450h. Lexus claiming the vehicle comes with Alexa is just false advertising. I’ve changed phones (iPhone 11 and 12), deleted and reinstalled the apps numerous times, unpaired and paired numerous times… all to no avail. Even worse, while it would occasionally work with the old version, now it doesn’t work at all with this new version.

I’m having the same problems with the Alexa app grayed out and not working with my 2020 NX300. Performed all the troubleshooting others have described. Took it to the dealer to have the computer reset. They couldn’t figure it out and told me to call Lexus. App was grayed out and stopped working for 5 months. Now all of the sudden it worked today but intermittently. So disappointed that Lexus and Amazon can’t get this resolved. Had a Lexus rep checking in with me but haven’t heard from him in 3 weeks.
