Bought it. As a long time listener of the blood red podcast. They were promoting it a while back. Very rarely update the news on it? Not sure if it’s because I am in Australia. But does not seem to be working well for me. And I paid for the premium version. Not sure what I am supposed to get for that. Still ads, even though the lads were selling it, as ad free. Started off that way. Though quickly become ads within articles and such. Seems like a bit a jib. Just go on to the echo web page. To get the same news for free. ### 3/5 — Good but terrible titles *2022-09-07, version 8.1.2* Some great content here, but please can you stop with the awful clickbait titles and actually have titles that reflect the story. ### 2/5 — Can’t comment *2022-05-06, version 7.1.6* Not for the first time not only can I not make any comments on any posts but now cannot even access the comments at all on any posts!!! Ridiculous!!!! ### 3/5 — Good when it is uptodate. *2021-11-23* It is a sound website with just two shortcomings. One, it is often slow to up date the content. I receive it in my email before it shows in the app. Two, some of the content stretches the thinnest of subject matter, mainly to fill the site I suspect. Plus some of the headlines are sensationalising content inappropriately. But I still refer to the app on at least a daily basis. ### 2/5 — Great Content Poor Presentation *2021-08-03* This may be harsh because it’s so frustrating. The content here is excellent. However, stories don’t load or more often their entirely obscured by the ads. Maybe offer an ad free tier with subscription? Articles continually load blank and live content doesn’t refresh well. and then there is the reach cookie acceptance that means the whole article is greets out until you can finally find the acceptance box. **Developer response:** Hi, we'd like to apologise for the inconvenience caused. Could you please message us at mobile_app_feedback@reachplc.com with more details of when exactly this issue happens for you? Does it happen on all types of articles? If possible screenshots or videos of the issue really help us to understand and fix the problem. The Live Updates type of article is not completely native in the apps, that means that this section that's often present problems is not made of "app components" but instead is a simple web page (it's basically a website loading inside that window). Because of that, we have very little (close to none) control of the updates page (the bit above is native and it's totally on us) what makes this not an issue with the app itself as we're just loading the page provided to us. What happens normally is that some changes are done on the website (from where we get this page) that affects the page loading in the app, so if the page throws an error, for example, this refresh button will appear or the screen will go blank but the page would load fine on a browser for example. What we do on these cases is contact the team responsible and pass over all the information we have about the issue, so if you could please report to us the articles that are presenting this issue whenever it happens we can report it to the right team and get it sorted asap.
