## What is LG EnerVu Plus?

LG ESS is a dedicated app that allows easy installation and easy monitoring of user's solar power generation, charge and power usage information.


* When connecting the app and the device for the first time, the wireless LAN Dongle must be installed in the LG ESS console.

* In order to check LG ESS operation status and accumulated usage information remotely using the app, LG ESS must be connected to the Internet.
 

The LG EnerVu Plus app is an application that is bundled with LG's solar-powered household energy storage products. This application can be installed on a smartphone of a professional installer and the person who purchased the LG ESS product. Using this, professional installers can finalize the installation by taking advantage of initial setup and commissioning functions when installing the product. The end user can also check the operation status, cumulative power generation, charge and power consumption information of the product through the app.

### 1/5 — Leider nicht brauchbar

Ich hatte tatsächlich die Hoffnung, dass die App im Laufe der Zeit verbessert wird, doch ich wurde leider enttäuscht.
Es ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar, dass trotz aktiver WLAN Verbindung (über die enervu Webseite bekommt man Daten angezeigt) die App keine Verbindung zum WLAN herstellen kann. Nein, falsch. Ab und zu klappt es, doch meistens nicht. Da die Webseite den aktuellen Status nur zeitversetzt angezeigt, wäre es einfach zu schön, wenn die App funktionieren und Daten (nahezu) Realtime zur Verfügung stellen könnte. Sollte heutzutage kein Problem darstellen.

### 1/5 — Grottenschlechte App, praktisch unbrauchbar

Die App ist einfach auf dem Stand von 2018  stehen geblieben und bietet das allerschlechteste Nutzererlebnis, welches man sich vorstellen kann. Allein das Login ist ein Albtraum: LG zwingt einen ständig zum Passwortwechsel. Der funktioniert aber nicht einwandfrei und man landet auf irgendwelchen Zwischenseiten . Wenn man drin ist sind die angezeigten Daten teilweise kryptisch und nur von Fachleuten zu verstehen.
Im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern - wir haben weitere PV—Anlagen - müsste man der App sogar Minussterne geben.

### 2/5 — Verbindung über Wlan funktioniert nicht immer

Beim Starten der App im Home-Wlan kann die Verbindung manchmal nur nach 10 oder mehr Neustarts der App zum Wechselrichter hergestellt werden. Dies ist mehr als nervig. Der Tipp die mobilen Daten zu deaktivieren bringt leider keine Besserung. Durch kurzfristige Deaktivierung des Wlan auf dem Handy kann man schneller eine Verbindung herstellen. dies funktioniert leider aber auch nicht zuverlässig. Wie schaffen es andere Hersteller funktionierende Apps zu programmieren?

Die App ist eine absolute Katastrophe…
Seit ein paar Tagen geht gar nichts mehr, nur noch ein schwarzes Bild. 
Verbindung geht von Anfang an nur wenn das IPhone am selben Repeater angemeldet ist wie der Wechselrichter. Auch hängt sich die App dann gerne auf, wenn es den mal läuft. 
Ich hoffe da tut sich noch was. 🥴🤮

Die Anmeldung zur alten Version war schon aufwändig, in der neuen Version die schiere Katastrophe. Zudem verlangt die App nach einiger Zeit ein neues Passwort; ändert man dies, kommt man trotzdem nicht aufs Menü. Folge: deinstallieren und neu installieren. So was Dämliches und Unausgegorenes habe ich selten gesehen

Guten Tag LG Team. Wieso ist der Verbindungsaufbau nur mit eingeschaltetem Ortungsdienst möglich? Datenschutz scheint ein Fremdwort bei den Entwicklern zu sein. Wenn man nicht zuhause im eigenem Netzwerk ist ist, kann ebenfalls keine Verbindung aufgebaut werden. Auch dann nicht wenn eine direkte Verbindung via VPN nachhause steht. Welchen Sinn macht solch eine App.? Und wie schon von anderen Kunden erwähnt, muss man regelmäßig die App. zuhause mit Ortungsdienst, neu anmelden. Egal ob Handy oder Tablet und welche iOS installiert ist. Gibt es noch Softwareentwickler bei LG? Wenn ja, dann werdet mal wach.

Eine App, mit der man die Anlage nur kontrollieren kann, wenn man da ist, und die nicht über das Handynetz erreichbar ist, auch wenn „mobile Daten“ in den Einstellungen aktiviert ist, ist unbrauchbar. Die App verliert auch häufig den Kontakt zum Wechselrichter und ist, wie auch die Internetseite des Produkts unzuverlässig (die hat übrigens ihr Sicherheitszertifikat verloren und nicht erneuert). Insgesamt ist der Dienst am Kunden extrem uninteressiert, der auch auf keinem Kanal und keiner der E-Mailadressen reagiert, die gern als Antwort auf negative Bewertungen angegeben werden. Mit einem Wort: lausig und Lichtjahre hinter der Konkurrenz.

Die Bedienbarkeit dieser App ist wirklich katastrophal schlecht. Auf dem iPhone 14 pro funktioniert die Zurück Taste nicht, eine Navigation ist unmöglich. Dementsprechend sieht es mit der Handhabung aus. Man muss die App jedesmal komplett schließen und sich wieder neu einloggen. Dabei kann man dann nur hoffen das die jeweiligen Änderungen auch übernommen werden- Die Funktion „Speichern“ kann ja nicht ausgewählt werden. Der eine Stern ist viel zu viel.

Die App gibt alle angeforderten Daten vermutlich korrekt an, jedoch funktioniert die „Zurück-Taste“ auf iOS nicht. Wenn man eine andere Datengruppe aufrufen will, muss man die App komplett - auch im Hintergrund - schließen und kann vom Hauptmenü aus einen neuen Vorstoß machen. Na ja, das geht bestimmt besser.

Die App funktioniert nur örtlich, nicht online!!! In 90% der Fälle hat man über das wlan Hausnetz auch keinen Zugang.. erst wenn man sich über die direktverbindung einloggt funktioniert es für ca 1h. 
Über das Webportal von Lg EnerVu ist jederzeit ein Zugriff möglich, also ist die Kommunikation vom Wechselrichter mit dem lokalen Netzwerk und auch dem Internet  vorhanden. 
Aber auch das Webportal ist so unbrauchbar, da man sich gefühlt auch alle 10 Minuten neu einloggen muss. (Obwohl da seit 2 Monaten eine neue Version angekündigt wird,(wo man das Banner dann auch alle 10 minuten wegdrücken muss) und nichts kommt)

Fronius, Huawei, Kostal, usw sind da wesentlich besser aufgestellt..
