Always have issues with it with it connected to my LG TV it’s a nano 75 and my LG washing machine. I can’t even download an app on my TV because it says I need to sign in but I have the app on my phone and it’s not letting me sign in.

I like the app, but I wish there was more functionality in regard to the refrigerator temperature.  I’m finding there is too great of a temperature fluctuation when I have it set to 33 or 34 degrees. It shouldn’t exceed 40 degrees but it gets as warm as 44 degrees. That’s not good for food!

LG demands precise location just to connect to and maintain appliances I already own, and even tried to get permission to access my location while I’m not using the app. There is no reasonable need for LG to know exactly where I am throughout the day just so I can update my oven’s firmware. Basic appliance functionality should never be held behind invasive data permissions. Completely unacceptable.

I have an lg tv thats wired to my switch for internet connectivity. This app seems to require a wireless connection only. Useless for me.

There needs to be a way to adjust notifications. I need to know when to add rinse aid to my dishwasher, don’t need any other notification from it. There’s no way to adjust which notifications get sent and which don’t so it’s either I’m spammed with a bunch of useless messages I have to go through to find if it’s relevant or turn it all off altogether defeating the purpose of the app.

1. Magic pointer touchpad would work inconsistently. It would usually work right after freshly adding the TV to the app, but as soon as the TV went on standby or turned off/on, it wouldn’t work.
2. Insane battery drain. Using the TV remote functions via the app drained my phone battery (iPhone 17 Pro) faster than any other app I have ever used, including some gaming apps.
3. Occasional freezing up of the TV remote
4. Always powers on to Live TV regardless of TV “power on” screen settings.
5. Sometimes doesn’t power on or power off the TV when pressing power button on app remote control.

Since I need the app to send photos to the “always ready” photo gallery, I use the app, but other than that, the functions do not reflect what an app should work like for multi-thousand dollar products.

This app is a loser all the way around. Expect the purpose to be setting up because that’s all you will be doing with it. It ALMOST got that right when it asked if I wanted to change the network across all devices. Asking was a good sign. Sigh. Of course no joy.
