They’re trying to be the ClassPass of beauty but the difference is ClassPass has enough structure/ operations to deal with case by case issues. They don’t have good communication with the actual salons, so when the salons tell the customer one thing, the customer service on the website tells you another. For example, if you’re late to a class on ClassPass, the woman at the front will tell you to contact ClassPass for a refund on credits. When you message the customer service, they’ll refund you the credits ASAP. If there’s a scheduling issue and the class was cancelled, ClassPass will refund you (again) ASAP. However, with licensed to glow, I prepaid for a service, and when I got there, the salon said they didn’t have enough time to fit me in. They informed me they’d let licensed to glow know to refund me for the service I never got. I’ve been on an email chain for FOUR MONTHS now arguing back and forth with Licensed to Glow. I even had to call the business myself, get their manager/ owner looped in to inform them to refund me. And licensed to glow still refuses, using other excuses to justify not refunding me. This just would never happen on any other membership service platform and really goes to show how they’re going to lose a large chunk of their customer trust by burning people like this. ### 2/5 — ai use in app design *2026-08-07, version 1.0.6* was excited to look into the services in my area but the designers for the app seem to have used ai art in their categories. i hate to see that sort of thing especially as your business model revolves around bringing clientele to local businesses. a shame really. ### 5/5 — I love it! *2026-05-16, version 1.0.5* Not only do I love this subscription, but I’m so happy there’s an app now! It makes bookings super easy. ### 5/5 — Better than ClassPass (for hair and nails) *2026-05-08, version 1.0.2* So at first I thought this would be just like ClassPass because that’s what all of the TikTok’s say but it’s actually different. There’s no credits, all of the beauty services are included. You can book up to 4 services at once and then schedule more appointments as you complete those services. The wait periods don’t bother me, I don’t mind waiting 12 days in between getting my nails done. I wish there were more locations in the dmv but I noticed that they’re adding more week by week. The app is cool, pretty similar to the website and easier to use. I've been the member for over 7 months, and it exceeds my expectations and saved me a lot of money.
