Beware *2021-05-21* I was charged $60 for downloading this app, and it’s capabilities are terrible, especially when compared to many of the free or low cost Lidar apps out there. This is a complete scam and is basically a worthless app. ### 1/5 — Lidar Camera *2021-05-14* First off i Go to tic where it says “im not interested “ and it doesn’t respond so right there says dont use! For people that don’t know what lidar is or does? true lidar is mostly used on helicopters or remote control helicopters with GPS and used over terrain that is covered in vegetation . Lidar strips the vegetation away to see the geography under neath its used in Mexico and South America a lot now looking for Aztec and Myan Pyramids that’s been grown over for centuries and has found 100s of new sites to go explore. Does this app do this? i doubt it so knowing this be careful what you are downloading when they make you subscribe for a trial version ### 1/5 — W. T. F. *2021-05-09* 1. Give me LITERALLY ANY direction on how to use your app. Is it a camera or a video recorder or is there a difference between modes? Idk. You can tell because they contain the same broken english that’s used in the app description. And the 1 star are written by everyone else. The various ways of superimposing Lidar data on photos and video allow a clean evaluation ,visually at least, of Lidar’s point noise and registration. It saved photos/video with colored Lidar grid to Photos. Compared to other ,more developed Lidar apps, it’s simplicity gives more reassurance on Lidar’s fundamental behavior. Yes I too would like the 3D mesh data to analyze and interpolate to make real CAD models...but that’s for a future release I would well pay for! ### 4/5 — In response to the one other, bad review *2020-11-20, version 2.0* I think the app has some awesome features and the possibilities with the new Lidar sensor seem endless. I particularly enjoyed the 3rd person perspective which could be a very interesting feature to progress further. Now, onto the subscription side, a 7 day trial I think is very generous given that you have full access to the app, however I don’t think it’s a sustainable business practise, especially for customer retention. No one is going to be happy when they forget to cancel a £58!!! subscription after 7 days. There is actually a pay monthly option but obviously that doesn’t give you the free trial period. My advice is to cancel the trial instantly which gives you a 7 day period to try the app without worrying that you’ll be overcharged if you forget. This is a very interesting app nonetheless.
