Lido is a new way to beach! We offer luxury beach items that are set up and waiting for your arrival. Food and refreshments from your favorite beach vendors, picked up and delivered to you. Stop lugging the heavy stuff and spend your beach day relaxing on a cushioned chaise lounger while being served lunch and drinks. When you're ready to leave all you have to do is tap a button and you're all set to head home! Find a Lido and change the way you beach! OUR RENTAL ITEMS: - Cabana ~ 8x8 and comes with two cushioned chaise loungers and a sand free beach mat. - Sunshade ~ 6x4 and comes with a sand free beach mat. - Umbrella ~ 8' and comes with a sand free beach mat. - Kids Cabana ~ Foldable shade tent for the kids. - Beach Chair ~ Reclines flat, perfect for soaking up the sun. - Beach Games ~ Cornhole, Slammo, racket ball and more. - Sand Free Mat - Made from helicopter landing pads, the sand falls through but doesn't come up! - Ice Cooler ~ If you need something to stay cooled we got you covered. HOW IT WORKS: 1) Rent Now(on-demand) - First, you must be inside the service area on the beach. You will see your pin location on the in-app map and the service area will be highlighted in green. - Next you choose your main rental items and can add extra items. Then will be prompted to pay. - We will then assign a butler to you who will quickly come to your location, rake your area and set up your rental. You can call or text your butler if there are any issues. - Once your rental has started you will be able to order food from local food vendors order extra items like beach games or refreshments like our organic young coconuts all from the app. - When you are ready to leave just tap the "I'm Leaving" button and you're all set to head home. One of our butlers will come and pack everything up. 2) Reservations - First choose the beach location you will be going. The closest locations will pop up on the map but if you are traveling you can enter the city to view the areas we service. - Next choose the time/date, choose your rental items and pay. - The morning of your reservation date you will receive a notification that we are assigning you a butler. - About an hour before your reservation start time your butler will rake your area and set up your rental and then drop a pin on the map - You will get a notification that your rental is ready. If you open the app you will have a map with the location of your rental which will be marked with an umbrella. You can call/text your butler if you are having any issues finding your rental and they will come and guide you to the location. - Once you arrive at the rental just press "I arrived" and you are all set. - You can now order food from local vendors, order extra items like beach mats and order refreshments like our organic young coconuts. - When you're ready to leave just tap the "I'm Leaving" button and you're all set to head home. Deleting and reinstalling is no help. Please fix! ### 1/5 — Can’t even access it. *2022-09-05* I’ve tried to download and use this app twice this weekend. It goes through the logo sequence and then times out on the second screen. Would really have liked to try it but I’ve made enough attempts! Maybe it’s crashed because of the holiday season, but that’s really not an acceptable excuse. A story of going to the beach being a struggle. As a New Yorker I had two options for going to the beach. Option 1: lug chairs and umbrellas and everything else to the beach and being extremely uncomfortable getting there (and who knows where I’d fit those things in my New York Apartment). Option 2: bring just a towel and be uncomfortable while at the beach (sand all over me!) Lido changes the beach game entirely. Now I can easily go to the beach (with just my towel) and relax in a comfy beach chaise with an umbrella. The Lido butlers set everything up BEFORE I arrive. They give you a great spot by the beach and will even get you food. It makes the entire beach experience so pleasant. I don’t want to go to the beach any other way ever again! It’s affordable, it’s luxurious, it’s the best thing that ever happened to Jacob Riis beach. I love Lido! I tell my friends about it, they’re telling their friends about it. Heck, I might get a Lido tattoo. The app works perfectly, btw. Try it out! ### 5/5 — The most effing amazing service and app ever! *2019-08-15* Lido Beach Butlers is a must and a complete game changer for your beach experience! You will not go to the beach any other way after being spoiled by Lido Beach Butlers! ### 2/5 — An app to make it complicated *2019-08-11* Tried renting an umbrella from their stand in Rockaway, they asked me to download the app. Did that, registered with my email, only to learn they were sold out. Turns out they were over-sold that day but didn’t think to tell us. They did attempt to accommodate us, however despite the butler service, they only setup directly in front of their station - we were max 2 mins walk down the beach and they said it is out of zone. I can see a benefit reserving 1 day in advance, but for one-time customers we would have been better served the old way (pay on the spot). The kicker: the website they advertise before downloading their app has malware! (redirects to a malicious site afterwards) **Developer response:** Yikes! That sounds frustrating. As I remember you left our stand for 30 mins and by the time you came back all of our equipment had been rented. We offered you the umbrella you wanted as we keep extra equipment in case of broken items but you were out of the service area that the National parks Service allows us to operate (we are only allowed to operate in front of the Bath House at Riis Beach as stated on the app). Regarding malware: Wix.com hosts our website and does not have malware. LidoApp.com does not have malware. If you are talking about the QR code advertised on our signs, that QR code takes you to LidoApp.com/download.
