### 2/5 — Where has the day/night toggle button gone?!

*2025-01-20, version 6.7.10*

Previous editions had the day/night toggle at the top next to the help and sleep buttons.
Where has it gone? It was very useful, please bring it back.

### 2/5 — SID and STAR

*2023-07-22, version 6.3*

Is it possible to add SID/STARs to the route to be able to get the correct route distance and to be able to view the SID/STAR on the enroute map?

If it’s not possible, I think it’s a very important feature to have and should to corrected ASAP

### 2/5 — Fiddly

*2023-06-16, version 6.3*

Fiddly to use. Annotating anything with Apple Pencil is almost impossible.

Jepp FD Pro much better.

### 2/5 — Charts OK

*2023-04-05, version 6.3*

Charts are ok.
Trying to find something in the document section is awful.
If I make a mistake when annotating a chart why does it remove all the annotations on the chart.

It could be so much better

### 1/5 — Downgrade from the previous version

*2022-10-25, version 6.1.20*

Please bring back the previous annotation feature, this one isn’t fit for purpose. Also, when swiping between charts using two fingers you never get the chart in the same position as you left it.

### 2/5 — New annotation feature is a significant downgrade

*2022-07-28, version 6.1.20*

Frustratingly the new annotation feature is a bit of a downgrade to previous version.
You used to be able to write on charts exactly like you would on a piece of paper, useful for agreeing gates on an approach or for writing how you were planning to configure. Also the undo function made it very easy to correct mistakes.

Now the app doesn’t recognise the writing utensil properly, be it finger or Apple Pencil, to the point where it’s not useable. Frustrating considering the Apple Pencil works so well with everything else…

Other features I can live with as just changes, but most of the new features are progress for the sake of progress and not improvements. Overall the updated version has brought less flexibility to what was actually a pretty good app before.

### 2/5 — ergonomie de la nouvelle version

*2022-05-17, version 6.1.1*

le découpage en plusieurs fenêtres des cartes ne facilite pas la visualisation des informations - trop de manipulation sur l’écran - je préférerais une seule fenêtre avec un zoom possible sur toute la page.

### 2/5 — Annotation and AOI presentation changes a big step backwards

*2022-04-29, version 6.1.1*

In the latest version the annotation options are much more limited. The very useful features that have been removed are:

- ‘undo’ button
- option to drag and resize annotations
- palette with lots of colours (limited to three bland ones now)
- the app remembering selected colours and line widths
- the ability to tap an annotation to bring up the delete option

Overall, the options and functionality are much more limited and the whole annotation part of the app is clunky and not user-friendly. It’s hard work to draw anything in advance (if you make a mistake it’s now four screen taps instead of one) and almost impossible to do it on the fly (e.g. for visualising taxi instructions as we’re being cleared for them). It’s now not a feature I feel I can use.

The AOI pages are now lumped into one page, which means the bookmark and clipboard functions are useless for highlighting the one or two sections which might have been relevant. Instead you have to scroll through the whole lot each time you need to refer to it.

I don’t understand why these changes have been made and why someone thought they would make the platform better. I would like to see the developer revert to the previous functionality as there was nothing wrong with it.

The option to select a runway and then view only its associated charts is, however, an improvement.

### 1/5 — Chart annotation change is awful. Documents section appalling

*2022-04-19*

As per other reviews, the Documents section is appalling & barely usable.

The recent change to how charts are manually annotated is dreadful, please change it back. If not possible offer users own choice of colours, remembering your selection of pen width & the ability to delete individual annotations (rather than all or nothing).

It would be useful if the App developer actually listened to this feedback but I’m not sure they do!

### 1/5 — V6.1 is dreadful

*2022-04-12, version 6.1*

Version 6.1 makes an already awkward app close to unusable. Finding charts is slower and harder, you can no longer move annotations and highlighted info, the approach charts have been divided into three for god knows what reason. Just when you thought LIDO couldn’t get worse - it did!

### 1/5 — Not working. This product lies under the empire of lies.

*2022-03-13, version 5.2.4*

Приложение перестало работать после обновления. Goodby)

### 3/5 — Still no update for iOS 15

*2021-10-19, version 5.2.4*

One month after the release of iOS 15, Lido mPilot is still not suported for this new version. The development team has to be more reactive (beta version of iOS 15 is available since June!).

### 1/5 — Hard to work with

*2021-08-27, version 5.2.4*

The documents section has always been a pain to find what you are looking for… Charts were fine though.

Just updated the charts, and I now can’t see any enroute chart. It says that it is not available.

### 3/5 — Can’t plot sigmet areas with lat and long wpts...

*2021-06-19, version 5.2.3*

Can’t define an area of weather using last and long points or nav points to show on your enroute chart...unlike old versions where it was easy...

### 3/5 — SIDs and STARs

*2021-05-23, version 5.2.2*

SIDs and STARs cannot be chosen individually along with their respective text chart like Lido used to allow on the Microsoft based version . Please make that possible! Looking at an old fashioned SID or STAR chart in such an innovative app is rather disturbing.

### 2/5 — Decent for navigation, useless for documents

*2021-04-28, version 5.2.2*

Whilst the charting side of this software works fine, the documents section is useless. It’s almost impossible to navigate, and finding local/area restrictions, decoding information etc is extremely user unfriendly. I usually have to rely on ‘guessing’ random keywords in the search function to get me to the relevant section. This is information that should be at our fingertips and often needs to be found in a hurry. Please make changes to improve!

### 3/5 — Dark mode

*2021-04-27, version 5.2.2*

Unable to select dark mode. There is no selector in the window.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Add 1 page approach chart option

*2026-06-21*

Please allow an option to display the approach chart in 1 windows vs 3 windows. It would be more useable.

### 1/5 — auto update cleared all bookmarks

*2026-06-18*

i have bookmarked some documents within this app recently auto update has made all bookmarks gone away

### 1/5 — Weather presentation

*2025-02-05, version 6.7.20*

Updated to iOS 18.3 and Convection displays dotted instead of the usual solid, while the data is not expired yet.

### 1/5 — Documents section is woeful.

*2024-12-05, version 6.7*

The Documents section is appalling & barely usable. As an example a simple searches fail to find the most basic of information.

Scrap the entire section & just send us a pdf, at least that way we can find what we need. Staggering the UK CAA think this is acceptable for what used to be the worlds favourite airline!

### 1/5 — Horrible program and poor charts.

*2024-04-12*

The program itself seems to be written for a windows engineer. It’s practical use in the flight environment is extremely poor and clunky. This program was forced on us at work I believe will be a contributing cause in future accident or incident. It’s lack of support for ADSB data and no VFR charts take away from situational awareness. If you change runways for departure or arrival, you must also go back and change the SID or STAR. Swapping between the airport, moving map and the ground charts at any of the big airports is horrible.
I believe anyone would be better off to use NOAA charts this program.

### 1/5 — disappointing

*2024-01-13, version 6.4*

Unfortunately some new updates downgrade user’s experience.
More attention to feedbacks please!

### 1/5 — No progress in charts

*2024-01-12, version 6.4*

This app is completing to cover a lot of information for flight (weather notam..) but the Charts interface is poor. It takes infinite time to decode the symbols, it is impossible to read information AOI at the same time as looking at a chart, or simply to display two charts at the same time on the screen. Paper was still lot more efficient

### 1/5 — Terrible product

*2023-10-09*

Our airlines has forced us to switch to LIDO from Jeppessen. This GUI is full of glitches, the two finger page swap is so sensitive that if you pinch to zoom, it sometimes switches charts, very frustrating and the app crashes. How can you release an app that seems to have been designed by a school kid without having undergo real quality control?

The charts are also terrible. The STARs have no runway transition text and it appears no one is quality checking the source data as I have already found numerous charts with gross errors. You boast that showing only the data you need for a runway as better, but the problem is when you get a last minute runway change, not easy to quickly find the correct altitude. One must select a new STAR with that runway, requiring a lot of steps. This adds complexity as we are entering the critical phase of flight. Speeds are in black making them easy to miss.

The new multi window interface for the charts is the worst. How is splitting the IAC into 4 windows better than a single window. Your backup PDFs are 100 times better, can you offer a single window option? I can get everything I need without re-sizing and or zooming each little window to be able to see what I need to. Did you even have real pilots offer advice on how this will work?

The AMM is missing number spots, runway length, exit distances. You have to reference the AGC and APC to get all the information you need. Why can’t you have it all on 1 chart?

The weather layers are terrible, where are the turbulence charts? What about ADS-B in capability? The weather looks like someone took a cue from Roblox and if you want it updated it, you must close the app and re-open it, it does not have a time lapse, in short completely useless.

### 1/5 — So bad app as it possible

*2023-01-11, version 6.2*

So bad as it possible

### 1/5 — Annotate has been ruined

*2022-12-04, version 6.2*

Please just use the apple bolt on API for markup. At least give us the undo tool and move annotations back.
Designed by IT for pilots with seemingly no desire to accept feedback from the people that use it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Location services

*2017-12-02, version 3.0.0*

Doesn’t show the location at the airport and on approach and departure charts

### 5/5 — Mpilot

*2016-09-13, version 2.0.0*

Spitzenprogramm zu Navigation

### 4/5 — Missing data

*2022-08-10, version 6.1.20*

Generally speaking the latest version is a big improvement over older versions. Chart change notes are missing on terminal charts though. So I can’t see at a glance the changes on a new chart.

### 4/5 — Notams

*2021-08-16, version 5.2.4*

Please add actual notams!

### 4/5 — Good! But need to preserve bookmarks.

*2017-09-24, version 2.1.3*

I would recommend that the bookmarks be preserved after every updates. Thank you.

### 4/5 — unable to delete expired data

*2017-03-18, version 2.1.0*

it would be great if we could delete any expired enroute map cycle.

### 4/5 — Improving with every version.

*2015-12-02, version 1.1.0*

I know this is a bit of a stretch but could you do a version of LIDO Charts which has the same UI as the one in the A380 OIS? This could save a lot of brainpower when having to switch between the OIS(which is markedly slow) and the iPad.

Also what's the deal with the location button? It rarely works in the cockpit, and when the location is finally determined, the next location update comes about in the next five minutes, very late.

Overall, good job guys.

### 4/5 — Needs too big space

*2015-10-02, version 1.0.15*

My IPAD has 16 Gb capacity. As we update the application it 's getting bigger. It cannot be updated before deleting the older version. And its not possible to delete the older version. This sould be fixed.

### 4/5 — Fast 5 Sterne

*2015-07-23, version 1.0.12*

### 3/5 — Preferred the old notation style

*2022-07-01, version 6.1.20*

Was much better with the old palette and the ability to move notations and drawings. Any chance of having them replaced?

Also, a proper method of feeding back suggestions would be better, instead of having to do it through Appstore…
