I came across Tim Urban’s post “Your Life In Weeks” and immediately started trying to create my own application based off of it, instead of first reading the comments to see if anyone had the same idea and already created one. I came back a week later and read the comments and discovered that this was indeed the case and tried out all the applications that readers already made. I found this to be the most well-designed app out of all them with the most functionality, so I’m sticking with this one. 

I love all of the extra features like being able to color-code weeks, select the starting day of each week, and switch to yearly view. However, I did notice that while the minimalistic design is elegant and easy to use, it has a few drawbacks-for example, it’s difficult to go back and find specific events, since it doesn’t display them on the individual boxes and the years don’t actually start in January but on your birthday. I would appreciate a setting that allowed you to set the left side of the grid to start on January 1st, with the far right boxes carrying over to the next years’ first week if necessary for this reason. A search bar that links to the titles of each event would also be nice.

I love this app overall, and it is very useful and motivating!

This app is easy to use and it has an awesome concept. Especially, it helps me to look back what has happened to me for my lifetime. 

What I really want from the developer is to add hashtag or search feature. It will help every user to find their memories easily. I REALLY appreciate all your efforts on this app.

Not to display in the maps, but to allow consistent assignment of colors. Did I use green for going well or blue? The color maps won't mean much if I have not used the colors consistently. 

Perhaps the developer could assign default meanings for the colors and allow us to edit them if we wish. 

Also I don't mind paying for apps I use but turning on more colors doesn't seem like value. How about turning on text labels?

This app makes me feel a different way. Wow, how we can take time for granted. Can't wait to use this every week. Great onboarding slides, but why press and hold? Also maybe the only app I actually went to find the push notifications.

I liked the idea of this app and impulse-purchased the yearly subscription. It’s a shame there is no option to try out the video notes—it crashes the app. I’m very disappointed and hope an update fixes this glaring issue.

It is broken. I was born in 1992 so im currently 24 now (a few weeks off from 25) but in the map it is showing that i am almost 26 now. So 1 year more. Please fix

When I tried to make a week, it gave me a premium $5 option if I wanted to add anything. I usually don’t buy anything but I thought this would be cool to do so I purchased it. But turns out there’s another subscription on top of the first one. To be able to add audio, video, more than one image, and more than two notes, you have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription. I wish it was more obvious before I bought the $5 premium that it still wouldn’t unlock everything.

However, I feel it's a bit clumsy. Rather than the regular touch being the colour tool, there should be a separate "button" that then turns your next touches to colour (kind of like brush options in an art software).
 It's already too easy to accidentally colour in weeks and years, and it's really annoying to try and get them back considering how small each icon already is. 
I believe the week count is also wrong. It says I'm on my second last week of the year, yet I have months to go before my next birthday, and I have put the proper birthdate in my settings.

Got the day I was born on wrong!
It's a cute app, but the colours are random. I think they should shave yellow and orange too.
I think you should be able to take a note for each year too.
Has loads of potential but needs work!

I love the idea of a weekly life calendar for goal setting and looking at your productivity from a Birds Eye view. Before this app, I was using a JPEG of a life calendar that I painstakingly zoomed, counted, and checked off each week. But low and behold “there’s an app for that” and the developer was cool enough not to put it behind a paywall. It’s simple and straightforward: you enter your birthday and it fills in your life calendar thus far. Then the rest of the empty squares fill in week by week while you add notes/goals to them. Sure, it’s not some sleek sexy app with a ton of bells and whistles, but I don’t think you need that… The point is to look at your life from a distance and not waste any time! Simple, effective, and motivational.

A new perspective on the passage of time and a different way of journaling (not by day, but by week). It is a reminder to do meaningful actions every week. I don’t know if I’ll stick to it until I’m 92 (the age I’ve set for my death tho! I bought posters of the life calendar from Kurzgesagt tho. Should help!

I always knew that a dynamic and digital life calendar would be very powerful to have in the long run but those physical boards and those excel spreadsheets weren’t convenient for me.

This app is a bit buggy and could use better features but for what it’s trying to do: it’s unique, no one else is doing it and it has plenty of potential.
