## What is Life Capture Pocket?

Life Capture Pocket helps you preserve everyday moments while they are happening.

Build a moment with photos, spoken context, a quick written note, and optional location—or record a video with its original sound. Everything remains stored locally on your iPhone or iPad until you choose to export it.

When you are ready, Pocket gathers your moments into a portable Life Capture document. Send it to Life Capture Studio on your Mac through AirDrop or the system share sheet.

In Studio, your original media becomes part of a searchable personal archive. Videos play inline, while voice notes and video audio can be transcribed locally using Apple’s on-device technology.

• Suggestions. That podcast that stuck with you, the album on repeat, the photos you took — pull them into your story with a word about why they mattered.
• Road Mode. An optional, private trail of the places you stop. It lives entirely on your phone, is excluded from backups, expires on a disclosed schedule, and asks for location permission only after explaining exactly what it does. Review your trail by day and promote real stops into Moments.
• Mark This Stop. Detection can miss places — especially rural ones. When somewhere matters, mark it yourself, name it, and promote it. Your word beats the algorithm's.
• Promotions you control. Promote a day's stops together, or forget a promotion and redo it. Nothing is ever sent anywhere without you.

Your photos are enough to begin. Pocket helps you remember more.
