Just yesterday I was mending it because it’s wearing out. I don’t want to replace it, even with their new one because I’ve written so many notes on the pages from pastor Getz. The big thing I’ve learned from pastor Getz is to see there is so much to see in the Bible. When he was introduced, this app was mentioned. I downloaded it that day and was immediately surprised. I never expected it to included a comprehensive video commentary of the entire Bible! Ok, not every verse, but Dr Gene doesn’t miss very many versions! It was great but I didn’t expect it to last. Bible apps come and go on a regular basis. Every time Apple brought out an updated IOS, I expected this app to disappear. Instead, it has continues to be improved and updated. New, higher quality video’s replace older versions. My hat’s off to Dr Getz and the entire team! Their dedication to provide quality commentary, packaged in an accessible app is an outstanding achievement! To God Be the Glory! ### 5/5 — Dr. Gene Getz is a gift from God *2022-04-16* This Bible and its lessons took 20 some years to assemble, by one of the best pastors/educators out there. Dr. Getz has 70 years in the ministry, writing numerous books, serving as senior pastors, educating and now creator of this incredible resource that will teach more than you ever thought you knew about our God and His word, and how it applies to you in a practical, easy-to-understand way. He doesn’t water down the content into meaningless drivel. It’s God’s word and sometimes it’s hard to hear. But if you want to know our Father and how he wants to love us, not coddle us with false promises like some churches do, get this. Follow Gene’s lessons. He’s interesting and amiable and so knowledgeable. We were blessed to attend his church in the 90’s—a life changing experience that continues with the study in this Bible. I read the accompanying scripture then watch and take notes on Dr. Getz's video. They are just the right length for a short study. I also appreciate how he ties the Old and New Testaments together. But all I have to do is show it to someone, and it sells itself. It couldn’t be easier or more convenient. And for a daily, weekly, or whatever your study schedule is, this is pure gold. I’m new to the app, so I haven’t tapped into all of its potential. The problem is it tries to import data forever, thus rendering the app useless. Unfortunately I upgraded the app on my iPhone as well, thus both devices are now non functioning. I have purchased the Life Essentials study bible and this app is a nice way to watch the videos on the iPad if it would work well. I appreciate his pastoral teaching style and the way he brings the New Testament into the Old Testament in almost all his principles. This is a tool for students of the Bible and for families who want to build Christian character.
