### 2/5 — Good but needs work on editing tasks

*2026-01-11, version 2.0.3*

Simple request - if you could please make it so you can open the tasks and edit them…

### 2/5 — Trying it but it won’t let me download NIV or any other translation

*2025-11-10, version 2.0.2*

I’m trying this out and already ran into an issue. I want to use a different translation other than ESV and it gives me an error code. If this isn’t resolved before trial I will cancel.

### 4/5 — It seems to be broken please consider final update

*2025-01-25, version 1.2.3*

Hello fellow brother in Christ,

It seems life or the adversary has prevented you from continuing to support this app, I assure you that it is needed and you were right to begin development as God directed you to. Don’t let the enemy steal your talents! Please consider updating this app to make login possible without need for your servers to verify and please consider taking your app to those who can fund it. If necessary, get acquired. God bless you and keep you on this journey to heaven together 🙏

### 2/5 — Question?

*2024-06-29, version 1.2.3*

Does the app still work? I remember liking it in the past but thanks to ADHD I may have forgotten about it. Went to try it again and it just freezes every time.

### 3/5 — Update long overdue

*2023-01-26*

Please update because I’d like to use the app. Thanks!

### 4/5 — Reminders?

*2021-03-11, version 1.0.7*

Great app! I think a couple of minor improvements would take it to the next level. One of those would be reminders. Is there a possibility to be able to set reminders and create date-specific events? (i.e. an integrated Calendar).

Another suggestion is to add the Bible app button that is also in the Bible Study section to the sermon notes section.

### 3/5 — Decent attempt

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I like this app some, but it does not have as many features as I would like for it to be called a planner or for it to cost $8/ month. I need a calendar and the ability to actually plan ahead. Not just day to day. Maybe in the future it will be more useful for me as updates come.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

Althought it's in the first phase, it's a great idea. I'm using the paper version as well as this app on my iPad and loving it. Developers very responsive to questions and suggestions. Their attitude shows a real interest in not only this program but in your being able to use it to improve your planning with a real gospel focus.

### 2/5 — I want to like this app

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I’ve tried to like this app but to be honest I’m really not sure how I would use it. It’s not the same as writing things in paper and seeing it in front of you all the time. I guess I was expecting more of a planner with my schedule and where I could take meeting notes or sermon notes like the planner book but I don’t see where or how I would use this app.

### 5/5 — Simple and easy to use

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I had the digital form of this journal and it was great. When they launched the app for it I was curious to see how well it would serve me. It’s easy to use and the format is simple. Thanks for the app!

### 1/5 — No Support. Missing Functionality

*2025-11-11, version 2.0.2*

I was filled with hope when I received an email saying that this had been updated. I decided to give it a try and re-downloaded the app. I was very disappointed on a number of things with the app. Navigation is somewhat confusing. I see where there is an option for sermon notes, however, it is buried within the menu tree. There also seems to be common sense functionality that is not in the product. There is no reminder option when adding things to Morning and Night items plus in other places. Also, there is no way to synchronize between multiple devices. This to me makes the application useless as it would limit me to one single device. I am glad that I only subscribed for one month. I am canceling that subscription right now. I can only hope that the development team does a better job next time when thinking about what functionality is needed in the app.

### 1/5 — App isn’t working. Support site isn’t working

*2024-12-24, version 1.2.3*

Trying to create account.

### 1/5 — App won’t open after sign in

*2024-08-08, version 1.2.3*

This looks like a great app that could do exactly what I need but I can’t sign in. I’ve tried different ways to sign up and it just won’t do anything. Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2024-02-16, version 1.2.3*

Keeps charging my account without permission

### 1/5 — Updated: No longer Supported. Seems to be a well developed app

*2024-01-21, version 1.2.3*

Update: Started getting charged monthly in December 2023 even though I cancelled a while ago. Tried to contact Developer about the charges, but the support channels seem to be no longer available. Main site has an ad error as though the dev did not renew some type of analytics subscription. Disputing charges with my bank.

I’ve been using it a bit here and there, but I do have one suggestion. I switch between my iPhone and iPad regularly (don’t always carry my iPad everywhere). It would be nice if there was sync between devices through iCloud account. If I write up sermon notes on my iPad and want to recall something on my iPhone. Or if I quickly jot down a prayer request while out and about, and then want to see that on my iPad later during my study time.

### 1/5 — Could not log into the App

*2023-12-06, version 1.2.3*

I was looking forward to trying this app out but I couldn’t get past the login screen. I tried multiple times with multiple emails & passwords..

### 1/5 — Charged and I don’t use it

*2023-11-15, version 1.2.3*

I just got charged for a subscription when I canceled two years ago and haven’t used it since. Trying to dispute the charge

### 1/5 — A trial would be really nice

*2021-07-08, version 1.2.1*

I’m disappointed to be able to download the app to see if it might be something I’d like, buy can’t view\try anything until I buy a $60 subscription. Can I encourage you to allow a 1 day trial or something?

### 1/5 — Something is not working

*2021-05-17, version 1.14*

I have a subscription but I have a thing to do list to text a number of which I am unfamiliar and cannot delete it. Where are the instructions?

### 1/5 — Super Basic

*2021-04-22, version 1.14*

I expected more from this app, I was kind of disappointed. It’s very basic, the features are rough, they’re not very customizable. The level and caliber of digital journaling I am accustomed to this is something good for maybe a child, or beginner. I expected more for the $60 price tag, this apps features do not justify the price tag.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 😁✝️♥️

*2025-10-24, version 2.0.0*

Best planner I’ve ever used especially as a Christian

### 5/5 — Great app for Christian prayer life

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I’m just getting started with LifeJournal but I like the way it helps you manage your goals, your prayer life, and your discipleship.

Keep it up.

### 5/5 — Perfect on paper and in digital form

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

The life journal is an app that has a paper feature (pdf) that I like. Sometimes I like to write things out by hand first and then add it to my app. The layout of the life journal and focus on the christian life is refreshing and helps me focus on what I need to get done.

### 5/5 — This is what I’ve been looking for.

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I was wanting something like this for awhile now. I’m extremely grateful to have found it through Dawson. It really has helped with putting my thoughts and prayers down, virtually.

### 5/5 — Great Journal App

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

I’ve been waiting for this. It keeps getting better and better.

### 5/5 — Not overbearing

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

This app is very simplistic. Tap on what it is you're wanting to do and do it. There aren't any adds that pop-up in the middle of a task and everything at this time is free for everyone! This means you're cont constantly prompted to get a premium account yo unlock all features.

### 5/5 — Easy

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

Easy to use journaling at your fingertips.

### 5/5 — Simple app for the Christian Life

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

This is clearly a work of love, an app looking to integrate the activities every Christian should be practicing into their daily routine. They are also very active in taking community feedback into account. The routine tracker is built around Christian activities and works very well on that account. The to-do functionality is a bit simple for my personal tastes, but may be just what some others are looking for.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

This app is an all inclusive app. It helps start my day with gratitude and a walk in God’s word, and plan out my day with tasks that align with my values and helps me to develop habits that bring me closer to the nourishment that God provides in my daily life 🙏🙏🙏

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-03-10, version 1.0.7*

Great app to Stay organized and focused on what matters.
