如题，不一定每次都能实时记录碎片化想法，偶尔会需要从其他社交平台复制粘贴一些内容过来，结果全都只能默认记录在同一天归档时浏览起来不太方便，希望能自定义并管理内容发布时间，实现发布内容补课

I love Lifelight, but the companion is my favorite feature. When it reaches its limit, it feels like the app suddenly stops engaging with me. Even if full AI responses must be limited, I’d appreciate brief acknowledgments or a daily summary so the companion never feels like it has disappeared.

I left a 5 * review earlier. Updating now. This app is very good when it works. For last 3 days or so it has worked only intermittently (most of the time in error 500) worked for 1-2 hours a day. That’s not how a journaling app can function.

When I saw the adds on lemon8 I thought that this app would be great to get things off my chest but I was wrong because after I went thought the part where it tells you what you can do it only gave me the option to make a account using my Apple account and I can’t use that account because it doesn’t let me so now I can’t use the app at all

It is incredibly frustrating that this app doesn't support manual line breaks. My keyboard clearly has separate buttons for "New Line" and "Send," but every time I hit "New Line," it sends my unfinished message anyway. I have to go back and edit it every single time, only for it to happen again! It’s such a poor user experience. Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

There are lots of feature, pretty excited when I download it. The chat feature(which is the core feature) is not working properly. The AI are super buggy and frequently it doesn’t response. It also delete entries. The entries are also not in order.

This app doesn’t help me with journaling or record keeping. It is so bad that it got me mad at Apple for recommending such a terrible app.

Not only that, somehow if you turn on the Journaling Suggestions by accident, this app can access your phone Activity, Media, Contacts, Photos and Significant Locations. Why would you need to access my contacts at all? Also, isn’t a journal supposed to be private ?

This app has 4 parts:

Journal - basically a place for storing “stuffs”. Talk into it to get transcribed texts. What’s new about voice to text? Many apps offer that for free. A good replacement is to use any free messaging app to send a message to yourself.

AI friend - the worst part. chat capability is much worse than any free ai such as talkie / character ai. whoever pays for that may not know there are free and better options out there. Also, why is there this feature to begin with? Just for the sake of having an ai chatbot?

Gallery - just a calendar display of past entries. Many messaging apps have that also. Any journaling app would also have that.

Insights - again, there are better mood trackers out there and they’re free. I don’t know who would pay that amount of money ? Also, they had the “AI friend” send me a letter speaking non-sense.

I don’t know why Apple would recommend such an app. I suspect that this app being “#1 app of the month” is not even real. Or, maybe they’re spending much ad money to get downloads.

On privacy: Lifelight is designed to be a private journaling space. The “Journaling Suggestions” you mentioned is an optional iOS feature created by Apple. When it’s turned on, your iPhone may say that suggestions can be based on activity, media, contacts, photos, and significant locations. Those suggestions are generated by iOS on your device, and Lifelight only receives items you explicitly choose to add to an entry. We don’t get your full contacts list, location history, or photo library by default, and we don’t see anything you don’t select.

In terms of features, Lifelight is built around a few ideas:
• Journal – a quick way to capture thoughts (including by voice) and attach context like music or workouts if you want to.
• AI Friend – an optional companion for reflection and emotional support; you can completely ignore it if it’s not your thing.
• Gallery & Insights – tools for revisiting past moments and noticing patterns over time.

It’s clear from your review that this isn’t the type of journaling experience you were looking for, and that’s totally valid. Many people do prefer a simple text-only journal or a “message myself” style workflow, and there are great options for that. Our job is to make sure that, for people who want what Lifelight offers, the value (and pricing) feels fair and well-communicated — and your review is a strong reminder that we still have work to do there.

很无语，本来觉得这个东西真的超级好用特别适合碎碎念，但是免费试用期到了就连编辑都不可以了一直跳出让订阅的窗口，还退不出去。这个软件是连记录都要出钱吗

I recorded a really long text in the morning today and while I was editing other entries later that night, the app deleted that long entry - it broke my heart cuz I was recording my emotions and thoughts after having a long conversation with my mother and it was gone forever. 

When I quickly checked my app on Mac, it was also wiped from the history. Have no idea how to recover it. The bug appeared before, since it was not that relevant, i didn’t pay too much attention to it - now it became a real problem.

Please rest assure, as Lifelight is using iCloud for backup. The situation you described seems like a database update is in progress(which is needed to support the recent updates).

Was an early adapter. I’ve had the app for about a year and a half. I’ve watched it get better and better but I will say I’ve also watched it integrate apple sign in which I’m not sure why is needed and the “Data Collected” section change from NO DATA COLLECTED to “Identifiers and Usage”. Not sure what’s going on but hopefully this remains private. The ai is Awesome. Navigation has a learning curve and I wish the AI options had avatars. But the customization of the app is awesome as well

I used to write a lot of thoughts, but sometimes feel a bit lonely. Lifelight has a lot of ingenuity. Ai takes the initiative to respond, and the feeling of going back and forth is really fun and warm.

I was on the fence for awhile before I started to get the core idea of this app and how it’s implemented. But the feature that brought it from a 3/5 to a 5/5 for me is the customizable AI personality that chimes in on your journals. You can describe your own character and it brings them to life remarkably well.

I have the pro plan for this application, and have been using it off and on for months now. I love the dedication the developers are putting into updating it, despite not having a huge user response. It is beautiful and it is efficient.  I made my AI have Christian responses complete with biblical verses per situation.  The new fitness response is also great.  The only other things I would like to see, is deeper integration to the iOS system like calendars and task and ability to chat with the AI concerning information you have entered. Other than this it’s coming along fine great job.

这款软件挺好的无论是陪伴还是安慰上都是很好的不是死板的字词，看见那些安慰的话心里也没那么难受了。我有一个喜欢的角色只不过他的性格就是有点高冷回复的内容有一点不太贴合角色的性格，希望可以改一下

在记录时，如果有事切换到后台再回来，文本都不见了，如果写了很多会很郁闷的，不是手机的内存问题，我记得有人反馈过这事，是故意设成这样的吗。如果能像微信那样，自己会暂存，没发送之前一直都在。
